OK, so this has become important enough that a side note is required. Panama City is doing a complete inspection and overhaul of its gas system. Every building is having the lines inspected and replaced where necessary. Once that's done then the firemen also need to inspect it, and then the paperwork needs to be done and processed by city hall so that the gas guys are authorized to turn the gas back on again. So, if the process goes well and there are no hitches it takes approximately 2 months, during which there is no gas for cooking (everyone has a gas stove) or for hot water. So, my considered advice to you if you are going to be staying in a private lodging is to ensure that this isn't happening where you want to stay. Apparently it has been up to a year for some places. Yikes.

Next, it was time to visit La Gruta Azul (the blue grotto). It is the oldest brothel in Panama (almost 100 years old) and advertises happy hour 2 for 1 between 12 pm-7 pm, on national drinks, so I decided to go by for a drink. The place seems to suffer from an identity crisis. , since it can't decide whether it's a strip club, a brothel or dinner theatre from the looks of it. When I got there the girls were sitting outside on the terrace, and there were only a few of them. So I got to take some pics of the inside no problem. I had a beer and at about 6:30 pm the guys started coming in. A few girls too. Apparently they have a show every hour which consists of a strip tease. Good way to preview the girls I guess. Doesn't seem often enough to me but whatever. Could be more. It was quiet enough that I didn't want to wait for it to fill. I will go back later in the day at some point. Definitely a night time place.

Accurate description. The place is a dump, even after a remodel several months ago. And they lack showers. I've never seen a diamond there, but I often get really great service from various 6's or 7's who really like to bang. But once again they literally showed me screen captured pictures of me from their surveillance cameras walking into my room with the girls. Bummer because for the price and proximity to Habanos and everything else Eurostar's felt like a steal.

Maybe someone has advice on how to avoid paying that fee. When I asked how long they've been charging it they said 2016, which sounds like bullshit to me, but just be aware. I chose Eurostar after reading the reviews on this forum and felt like a real dumbass having to pay that fee (LOL). Oh well, I still had a blast.

Now, I must say I am eager to return to Panama, Habanos was a two floor bar / indoor outdoor lounge with nothing but sexy Colombians, Venezuelans and some Panamanians. It was very hard to select because of the caliber of talent on there. I had a friends who's opinion I trust go to Alexandros and he told me not to even waste my time so I didn't and Habanos it was for me! I was told by some locals that near Casco Viejo there are some very cheap ($20) options. This was confirmed by another lost I read here, just an FYI if you are adventurous.

Sorry to hear that you got charged the chica fees. I have done this many times and so far I have been lucky by using the elevator at the casino. Just a quick question, which camera took your pictures? I don't recall seeing a camera at the casino elevator unless they just installed it recently.

So, went to the Bocatorena whuch is a local brothel near Casco Viejo. Habanos crowd doesn't make it here. , mostly, LOL. Looks like a dark bowling alley bar with two sides. Tons of girls and guys at 4 pm,. Looks like some guys getting off work as lots cycled in within minutes of my arrival.

Tons of girls, as I said. More than a few would have fit right in at Habanos. Others not. Lots of big tits and big asses for the juicy lovers. 2 dollars for local beers and that's all anyone was drinking. Girls were 15 bucks for 15 minutes, including the room. Went with one girl and the rooms were about what you'd expect. MP size rooms with twin bed and funky lighting with poorly painted walls. This is not a YMMV place. Interestingly she told me that she had worked at Habanos and didn't like it there because there was no guaranteed cash if she went there, as opposed to the Boca. OK, so Monday night and I head out to Habanos. Showed up at about 9:30 pm. Between 9:30 and 10 pm filled up quite bit. I'd say maybe 80 girls and about 15 guys. Talent was decent but not as high as usual, mind you I didn't stay late or long. General range of about 6-9. Girls start asking for $150 but most appear willing to drop to $100, which is fine if you can negotiate the services you want. As a measure of scale a Corona costs 7 bucks there. Girls are medium aggressive and depart quickly (most) once you tell them you're not leaving with them. Girls dressed to kill and showing you what they've got, and most of them have a lot to show. Tocumen airport is roughly a half hour outside of the center of town. Easy immigration and customs, pretty easy to navigate. Taxi mafia hits you as soon as you exit. Quoting $30-35 to get you into town. Uber costs $10 (presumably varies with demand) so easy decision. Pickup is at lane 15 or 17 of parking area. Easy to find. The center for mongering purposes is pretty much the Cangrejo area, and there's a bunch of hotels in the financial area that will cover your needs however most of them also charge chica fees. As taxi / uber in town is super cheap I opted to rent an apartment in the San Francisco area. Huge apartment, great views of the ocean, about the same price as the hotel, no chica fees and no front desk hassles. I tend to prefer my own place and am only 10 minutes away, so given the way Panama is structured, easy choice for me again.

Did a quick run around some of the better known local massage places. Went to Tantra, which is in Paitilla at Plaza Balboa on the back side of the building, #30. The door is unmarked so just ring. A so-so looking chica answered and told me for a quick 30 min session (all I wanted) was going to be $70 for HJ and as this is their "express" session you can't shower. Say what now? I said thanks and left without inquiring further. I should have, but whatever. Place looked ok but nothing special.

Next I went to Valuptatem, buried in the center of a shopping plaza. GPS will take you around the right side of the building and into the upper parking lot where the helpful chap will then tell you to cross the lot and take the stairs back down to come into an outside hallway and there it is. Otherwise, just face the plaza and look for the hallway to save some exploring. LOL. The place looked nothing special and the girl who answered was middle of the pack too, Prices there were $80/120. I thought that was overpriced and so moved on.

I was in Panama City in August 23 - Sept 1st. Lots of people do the independent girls in the bars and get stuck trying to bring them back to their hotels only to get stuck with charges to bring the girl.
