Heading to Panama in July first week, can someone confirm if Veneto is charging Chica fees and how much? What are other best options?

Do you know if any of their condos are in locations where you don't need a rental car?

Almost all of the condos advertised on VRBO (Vacation rentals by owner) are located in the heart of the city or close by. No need to rent a car. Cabs are everywhere and with reasonable traffic you are no more than 10 minutes away from anywhere you really want to go. (except the airport or out of town).

I know that there are 2 and 3 star hotels in Panama City that are Chica Friendly. I really would rather stay at a 4 or 5 star place. Are any of the below listed hotels Chica friendly? Even the one's that charge a fee is fine as long as they allow a female to join you.

The trump on the list you provided is the only one which has reported to be chica friendly. I Personally know the Best Western, Clarion, Contiental, Holiday Inn are Not chica friendly. Not sure on the others. However again its really going to depend on current Management policy, what time you come back to the hotel, who is working the front desk or security and what your lady friend looks like. Too many variables. If you have a few bucks rent a nice Condo or penthouse!

That's pretty wild about the Cubanas at Habano's, but do they enforce the ban? For example, do the gals have their passports checked at the door? Or do the Colombianas snitch to the manager if they see Cubanas on the premises? Interesting stuff! Pretty funny, this kind of stuff. I mean, can you imagine telling a non-mongering friend or family member about this stuff? It would be pretty amusing or fascinating to an "outsider". Saying something to them like, "OK, Sarah and Steve, now, you see, there are lots of Colombian and Cuban hookers in Panama City nowadays, and now there is this little "turf war" between them at this one bar called Habano's. And maybe it will also happen over at this very interesting place called Veneto Casino. " Haha, you can't make this stuff up!

I suppose some Cubanas will come to the discoteca, Ashe, on Calle Uruguay, but that's only on weekends. Maybe they will be found at La Mayor or La Bocatorena? Hmmmm.

I agree with you, its really fascinating if you think about it.

The only downfall to this hobby is the frequency with which I leave and enter the USA And the million questions / interogaton I receive from USA Immigration upon returning. They just don't seem to understand / approve of the hobby and don't understand why I leave and comeback 3 days later.

I would recommend the Hyatt Place. Very nice hotel, good location, chica fee is $15.

Yeah, in my case, a guy like a friend, Steve, would be quite amused and approving, and would want to know all about it. (he has mongered in Thailand, which I haven't.) On the other hand, his wife, Sarah would be unamused and disapproving, so she would not be part of that conversation. Oh well!

Your welcome, try VRBO. They have short term condo rentals. You rent directly from the owner. The condo you rent is yours to do as you wish during your stay. Bringing girls back won't be an issue at all.

For those to whom the Cubanas were the cream of the crop, my deepest sympathy. .

The Cubanas have been barred from entering.

Reason stated is that they were only thinking in getting you to close the deal, as fast as possible, therefore stopping you from enjoying the booze on offer from the bar.

Bad business for the owners.

Understanding Habanos is first a bar, not a brothel. No comision to the owners for the business trafic.

Interesting they can stereotype and keep out a whole group of people. As another poster said I am certain the colombianas had something to do with this. Funny that the bar doesn't want the cubans there because they want to leave with the clients so quickly.

You know I'm down to find the Cubanas. They may be in Bocatoreno or somewhere like that.

The Veneto chica fee is beatable, by being really sneaky. But what a pain in the ass. Glad I only booked two nights there.

I'm very interested in seeing how the Veneto ends up. It's pretty much ground zero for sex tourism in Panama City and now that the government has taken over we could see it flourish. The chica fee is unfortunate but if it was lowered to something like 20-25 USD per chica I could see myself being OK with it.

Fix up the rooms. Keep the prices reasonable. Keep room service in. Keep the AC running. Keep the chicas coming in. Do that and I could go back for a visit.

I'm going to assume with the government stepping in they will have a longer view of things and try to recoup their lost tax revenue over a number of years.
