I see tons of talk about hotel issues on this board. Lots of the hotels are not GF friendly but there are some that are. I find it a lot easier just to book one of the many apartments that are available. This alleviates the guessing game weather a hotel will be GF or not. Some hotels change their policies and it really will put a damper on your trip if that policy changes just prior to your arrival. Airbnb has plenty of apartment options.

Agreed, There are some countries where it just isn't worth messing with Hotels and wondering whether a particular hotel is Girl Friendly or not. It causes a huge hassle at the end of the night when they are demanding a guest fee or flat out refusing a guest to enter.

Many of the hotels that are girl friendly change there policy. Also some receptionists follow different rules.

Unfortunately Panama is such a business destination for many that the employer is paying and / or booking the accomadations.

However, Panama is definitely a country where an APT rental is recommended whenever possible.

I arrived today and I went upstairs to Llegadas (Arrivals) and got a taxi into town for $15. Two turned me down at that price but it still only took 3 minutes to find one to say yes. I also downloaded the taxi zone fare map and the flag drop is $1 and then it is 35 cents for every zone you cross. So basically any taxista should be happy with $2 including tip for short rides. There is, in fact, an extra charge after 2200 until 0500, but it is a whopping 25 cents. It is 40 cents for an extra passenger and not two dollars like they tried to tell this German guy today. Somebody got on my case last year about being cheap with the taxistas, but if you look at the actual, official rates, I was way overgenerous.

Good Find!. Almost no taxi will stick to this but, It explains why some taxis charge me $5-$7 for a short ride and then some which maybe the same distance or even onger I am charged $2-$3.

Just stayed some nights in this newly opened hotel. It is very close to the metro station (Iglesia del Carmen) and Veneto and Habanos (each 5-7 minutes walking distance).

Booked a double room and checked in alone.

I asked the reception guys if I can bring in a girl and the answer was yes, for an extra 30 USD". So I pointed on my reservation for two persons. So they said, OK, they would register the girl to my room and then it wouldn't cost anything. But then the girl has to be every day the same girl. WTF. So from my second night on I always had to pay the 30 bucks.

So next time I'm looking for another hotel option (hopefully GF). Any ideas?

Oasis massage parlor is open during the day and Gold Fingers opens at 1 pm.

Veneto is open for gambling but most of the chicas do not start coming in till around 8 pm and after. You may encounter a couple between the hours of 2 -4. Your better off meeting a girl the night before for daytime action or trying one of the massage spots.

Very simple if you need to be discrete and not have your co-workers see you take a Puta to your official hotel.

Go to Habanos or Veneto. All taxi drivers know where both are at ($3 trip max). Find the girl of choice. Negotiate price with.

The girl. Then go out front and get a taxi girl in hand. Tell the taxi driver LOS Arcos and they all know where it is at. The price will be $5, but these taxi's are directly in front of Habanos and Veneto so it will be easier. Arrive at LOS Arcos (have your passport for registration, or Cedula). Pay I think about $13 for two hours. Nice clean small rooms with TV, and clean bathroom with shower.

After the cannon fires and you are happy, leave with the girl in hand, and go directly out to the street in front of LOS Arcos. Nobody will see you there as not a tourist area, so do not worry. After a few minutes you will be in a taxi and go back to your hotel, after dropping off your girl back at where you got her.

Simple. NO problems.

I kid, but I have been to a few conferences in latin america and noticed attendees in the hot spots at night. But I can understand your concern.

I can't recommend any escort websites, but to avoid the walk through the hotel you can consider the LOS Arcos love motel a quick taxi ride from the Hilton and Habano's.

Look at the craigs list for Panama, some of the gals there are from agencies and otherwise look legit.

I second the LOS Arcos recommendation. Extremely affordable.

Went there today in the afternoon for the very first time. Hard to find. Was walking by two times before I spotted it.

Went in. Very dark and seedy, smelled for vomit. Lots of girls of all shapes. Had a beer (1,50 USD) and was screening the available talent. Saw a Flaquita. My type. Went over and asked for the price. Was quoted 20 USD. Tried to negotiate down to 15, but she wouldn't agree. Well, I think she was the best looking one in there and therefore she charged a surcharge. LOL.

If I tell the escort agency to have the girl dress conservatively and I give the girl my room number, can she get up to the room without an issue or are key cards needed to operate the elevator at the Hilton? As noted I don't think meeting the girl in the lobby is an option for me.

If what I mention above will not work, it seems my fallback is to just get a room at the Veneto and then get a girl from the Veneto or Habanos (still some detection risk I would face). The board seems to note a $50 chica fee at the Veneto. Between the cost of the Veneto and chica fee, I would be better off just paying a premium to an escort who can get up to my room at the Hilton. Any woman that your coworkers see you with or coming in or out of your room, they will know is a hooker. The front desk will probably stop her, I'd here and find out who she is there to see which could blow your cover. Not to mention the chica fee they charge to your room.

If you are at Habanos or the Veneto, chances are you will run into coworkers and you will know and they will know you are all there to hunt.

I think this would be the most economical considering your situation and some of those love hotels are really nice.

I meant to say that I went upstairs to departures and got a taxi. Obviously, having just arrived, I was at arrivals. Today I got my bus / subway card. It was a pretty good hassle. It's so humid here, all your money goes limp and I had to try several bills. I finally gave up and used a five even though the machines don't give change. Supposedly the $3 difference between that and the $2 price of the card itself would go on the card as credit. It did not. I went across the station where they had an office and they did a bunch of shit, handed me back the card, and said the credit would hit in three days. Great; I will be long gone by then. So I had to put another dollar on it so I can go to Albrook tomorrow. 35 cents a ride is pretty good, though.
