    Panama City Review

So I thought I'd check for any updated reviews and find nothing since 2017 so thought I'd add my most recent experiences for all to enjoy and learn from. First of all, Panama is not like Costa Rica. Although Panama has a good sex scene, not many Panamanian women are participants. Most of the workers you'll find in the places mentioned are from places like Colombia, Dominican Republic, an occasional Cuban or other Latinos including a stray Costa Rican. It's rare to find a Panamanian woman in the trades.

There's a few Massage parlors as well as your typical strip club. Some are of the clubs include LE Palace, Elite and Golden Times. These places are typically expensive. Taxi drivers will always recommend them since they get a commission for bringing you there. The girls can be nice, most have "facilities" on site but expect to pay a lot. There's also a place called Oasis located in the Cangrejo zone that is a massage parlor with exotic massage.

For most tourist mongers coming to Panama City, the most popular place was always the Hotel Veneto. Once a Wyndham hotel, it lost it's Wyndham franchise and was just being run as the Venetto. The place featured a casino with live music, a poker room and a sports betting area. The place was great in its day but as the place deteriorated, the hotel started charging the girls an entrance fee. It was still pretty good however and would get a good crowd on weekend nights entirely of working girls. The hotel also started monitoring who could get in the elevators to go upstairs. The Venetto was good since it had an indoor parking garage for hotel guests. Recently the government took over operations of the hotel apparently since the owners had failed to pay taxes. The hotel went quickly down hill, A/C's stopped working, the place was dirty. Now I think it is closed.

For experienced mongers, try the La Habana Cigar Bar, a open air bar by the Marriott that is just a "take out" bar. Lots of women end up here each night at prime time and they are independents. I also recommend the Hyatt Place Hotel, located just a few blocks from the Habana Club, chica friendly, nice rooms, valet parking and free breakfast. There's even a roof top pool. You can find locals at local dance bars on the weekends or go crash the hard rock or Hooters if you want to try your luck. The singles scene in Casco Viejo is also happening if you have great moves on the dance floor and dress for success.

For interesting daytime action with a big touch of seediness, go to Bocas tTrenas at the entrance to Casco Viejo. I think the physical address is La Gavilán why La Mayor and the place is often referred to as La Mayor. It's where working girls start in the late afternoon, both a bar and primitive "facilities". It helps a lot to speak Spanish if you want to go here. Panama is a great place to monger if you know what you are doing though nothing like Medellin or San Jose.

    La Bocaterena

I went back to this place last night. The ladies were on me like flies on shit, since I was the only Gringo in the place. After a while, it kind of got oppressive with the ladies grabbing me, so I bought a drink for one to keep the rest away. I asked lady how many times she went to the room with customers, and she said on a good night, 25 times.

I drifted over to a bar called "La Menor" around the corner. The ladies were younger, and seemed to make their money from drinks, I didn't see anyone leaving the bar with a girl.

Place smells stale and musty and most importantly, they are extremely diligent about collecting extra money any time you bring a lady or meet a lady at your room. Staying there was the worst hotel experience in my lifetime of travels in the world.

I would never stay there and give it a firm 0 stars. Search for my earlier posts on what they did to me. I was very unimpressed with their logic and stalking tactics.

If you like paying extra fees and enjoy having staff repeated phone the room and pound on your door while you are entertaining, then this is the perfect hotel to stay at.

    La Bocaterena

A dark place, two different sections, both filled with young ladies advertising their wares. The official price is $10 for the lady, $5 for the room, for 12 minutes.

Drinks are cheap, $3 or less.

The ladies get a buck if you buy them a drink. Nobody speaks English.

    Its closed. Finito.

Trypp Wyndham is a fantastic hotel. Rare gem and quite reasonably priced. Might have to pay $30 guest fee. Near action of Habanos which was humming with 40 beauties on Sunday night around 10 PM. Mostly from Colombia, few from Venezuela. Asking rate 150. Some nice looking girls (3/4) rest were so so or not that great. No pressure.

It says Habanos / Don Julios. So should not be an issue. I am looking at the sign now!

The owner, juan, decided to change the names on the marquee of the cafe.

Therefore when you arrive you see.

Habanos / Don Juan cafe advertised.

If you book for 2 people vs 1 on Marriott's website, the room price is $30 more hence this is why they charge a $30 guest fee. But, I was able to book on HotelsCombined.com via Amoma.com and got a better rate even with 2 adults than by going through Marriott.com. Hope this helps.
    Agreed,

In addition, there are many hotels in Panama City that do not charge a chica fee. Including a ton of local hotels (not the big names). Coral suites, costa, metro etc.

People tend to focus on Marriott, Hyatt, etc. Think a little outside the box. There are plenty of hotels in Panama and a bunch that do not charge a fee.

Thanks, just cancelled by reservation with AC Marriott and booked a room for 2 adults at Marriott (the one opposite Habanos) thru Amoma.com. Got a much better deal than expedia and Marriott. Does not say if its is King Bed or Queen.

Hi guys, in Panama with a few guys now and staying at the Marriott hotel right across the street from Habano's aka Don Julio. I also can confirm that there is no charge for a guest if the room is reserved for 2 people. Also, you don't have to check in with the girl and you can change the guest every day. If you book the room on any website or Marriott for 1 person they will ask for a $30 guest charge. By the way, I found my room much cheaper on Hotels Combined.com than booking with Marriott.com so it pays to shop the hotel internet websites. But again, always make sure your room is for 2 people at the Marriott in order to avoid guest charge as security and the front desk will check when you get back to the hotel.
