So as a long time lurker like others I have decided it is time to give back. Business brings me here regularly for over a year so have sampled much In my time here.

Annoyingly I had a much longer post before but when I went to preview it the site made me log back in so lost it all. This is more to the point and if anyone has questions just ask as I may have mentioned it in my previous write up.

Accommodation.

If more than 3 nights in Panama or in a group just get an airbnb. No chica fee and no walk of fame / shame the next morning. Any decent condo will have security and front desk in case that is a concern.

Travel.

Detest the F'ing yellow taxis. Too many issues to list. Uber isn't perfect (GPS hit and miss) but its super cheap and convenient as long as you have internet. Metro and busses only for the adventurous.

Night life.

Casco Viejo (Old Town) is where everyone seems to go for a night out of partying. Plenty or restaurants, bars and club in the district and unlike most of Panama you can walk around between the places. It can be pretentious and definitely well over priced but its also tourist central so what do you expect. Also if you are expecting world class night life, think again but it can be fun especially if on a short holiday. San Francisco deserves a mention but this much tamer area than Casco in terms of atmosphere, mostly expats and locals but plenty of restaurants and a few good bars.

Mongering.

Down to the serious business. Ill loosely rank places from my experience.

Habanos. Undisputed No 1. Number of very hot women and you can talk to them and feel them out. One thing to mention when I first started to come to Panama I was paying $200 for a trip back to my place with CBJ. Now I pay $100 (sometimes $80) with maybe a taxi tip and BBBJ. You got to stand your ground and a good option will land in your lap. Paying the silly prices some girls quote does not guarantee any better service and you end up cultivating diva attitudes.

Bocatarena. OK OK, yes this is for your harder core road warrior monger. It smells, has some hags I wouldn't touch with a strangers dick, cleanliness including in the room out back where sex goes down has a lot to be desired and while I can fit in I can see why some of my melanin challenged friends may get a little nervous. But can't beat value for money at $20 for 15 minutes of sex (15 to girl and 5 for room), drinks are more than half what you pay at Habanos, there are some actually good looking women there unless a bad day which can happen. Also as long as you don't go wandering around the area behind the place its very safe. And best of all you can even take girls out back to your place from here. I've done it for $50. Grabbed some drinks, food and bit of marching powder if so inclined and then back to my place for the real party.

La Palace-High End strip club. Way overpriced but I actually think the girls are hottest here. I'm sure its the mood lighting or those sexy white outfits but I do pop by on occasion. If its busy then its good option to grab some drinks before settling in to Habanos. However, takeout is $300-$00 and given for more than half price that you can get a similar quality girl at Habanos. Can always arrange to meet a girl at another time. In my early days I did takeout but not worth it at there price.

Veneto. Lost a lot of its lustre and fallen down hill but its an institution. Also some hot girls do roll through fairly regularly to scope clients especially in evenings. Also what I like about here is you can generally hang out the bar and meet new people. Would never stay here though, the building condition and surly staff concern me too much about paying for a room.

Club Ashe. Just a club that opens late that working girls frequent. Inside is mostly tables so unless you come with girls or group its really awkward to speak in there. Outside much better and best of all they have a late kitchen. Sometimes after a night out I just pass by to get some food to takeout.

Elite. Another high end strip club. I actually prefer La palace but then I love the Latin Bomba Queens. What I like about Elite is when I was there they had a $30 all you can drink offer. Not sure if every night. But if I had local wingmen would check it out more and try and talk to some of the girls to meet up later while enjoying a tipple.

La Mayor, La Nueva Gruta Azul & La bombanera. First one is next to La bocatrena in Casco Viejo but its normally dead with really loud music and sometimes crazily they have a cover charge! Probably while its also cleaner than its neighbour as has less traffic. The last 2 are further out in the city where mostly locals live and I wouldn't recommend the visit unless in those areas. I checked because thought I could be missing out. I really wasn't.

Also if anyone knows actual regular clubs where I can pick up hot local women (the unicorn, LOL) let me know. I find the clubs like Casa Jaguar, casa casco, indenito, hard rock, etc way too stuffy and pretentious. Everyone trying too hard. I want a spot where I can try my luck and awful Espanaol on some regular (I. E. Not rich) local or expat, Maybe she wants a little compensation for her time or just drinks. I'm easy.

My first night I talked my way out of the fee. Then for 3 days I had a lady I met online staying with me. No problem there. Was never questioned and stayed out of the casino. We came in and out using the ground floor elevators near reception.

Then today I had a lady visit me that I met on Tinder and she just came up to my room. We're getting down to business, then a knock on my door. I yelled out no thank you and continued with what I was doing. Then he knocks again and announces he is security. I yell I don't need any security. Then the phone rings. "Sir, you have a woman in your room, you have to pay. " I snapped at this point, told her I booked for 2 and was not paying anything and said good bye and unplugged the phone.

She seemed to quote lowest rate of the several lawyers I contacted from a list I found at the US Embassy, seemed to know her stuff, patiently answered my many questions although I did not go through with the visa. I will mention that when you form the company that is necessary to get the Friendly Country visa, take in to account that you may need to pay fees to the legal firm related to the company that will come in addition to the fees you pay for the visa. So it is a good idea to ask about the start up and the recurring fees of the company, and not just the visa fees.

We finish up and then decide to go for lunch and drinks. Wouldn't you know that the security f**ker is waiting outside the elevator on the ground floor and blocks our path to exit and insists we go with him. After trying to reason with these idiots, I blasted them for their poor customer service and incompetence. I even suggested she call the police and I was leaving and she was not getting a penny more for a room I already paid for. Then she says the girl would not be allowed to leave. Well, now they have me as I am not a jerk that will involve the lady in my battle, so I threw my credit card at the lady and told her to bill it. I told her to expect a letter to management / ownership, and bad reviews everywhere I can post. The $42.50 USD they extorted from me will cost them a lot more. I also asked why this policy was not disclosed on check-in, or on booking.com. Of course she did not have an answer.

What a buzzkill. I leave Friday and if I come back to Panama I will get a well reviewed hotel by the membership here and not this rip-off establishment. I might even get an apartment, which is normally what I do when I travel, but I figured for 1 week a hotel would be fine. WRONG!

On the positive side, I had a blast with the non-pro for 3 days and had a couple of other pro sessions. Habanos is awesome and the chicas at the Veneto Casino are cool too. I will be in Cali, Colombia at the same time as one of them, so we will hook up there too.

Hopefully this is a coherent review. Even after lunch and 3 Balboas, I am still so # pissed! If not for the girl, I would have insisted they call the police. Basically this hotel uses words like policy and security to extort their customers and they are quite vigilant about finding their extra fee money. How the hell do they find out that a girl dressed in jeans and a normal looking shirt came up to my room? Are they watching on camera? Did a cleaning lady on the floor rat us out? Did someone follow her up?

What a joke of a hotel. Besides the ridiculous "security" restrictions, the hotel is old, the air conditioning temperature control does not work well, several electrical outlets do not work, the bed is not comfortable, the carpets are old as is the stained furniture. I was willing to live with 2. 5 or 3 stars for $54 a night, but the poor customer services puts me well over the top.

If you want to have fun, DO NOT STAY HERE. They are so hypocritical it is nauseating.

EDIT: I almost forgot. Second time housekeeping did not change the towels, so pretty pathetic. I also enjoyed the 9 AM Saturday morning wakeup call at my door by the cleaning staff. What is the point of a do not disturb sign if you're going to knock anyway? Just incompetent.

She probably has those shorts and sandals in order to not attract attention from cops, I've known girls who have been harassed and "voluntarily" raped by local police. Since prostitutes need a work permit as 'alternadoras' and they also need to have their weekly health permit up to date. They must submit to weekly screenings at a clinic (the girls from online agencies, online ads and street girls like the ones found at Habanos, Veneto, etc don't do this. Only the ones at strip clubs and massage parlors do). One of them told me she had to be with two cops in the back of their pickup truck or be deported from the country, so she complied. If the girl is Panamanian (like the one you were with) it's obviously more difficult since she can't be deported, but can still be harassed and could at least spend the night at the police station. You should have given her an extra $5 for a taxi or ordered her an Uber. That's what I usually do.
