I arrived Monday night on schedule 9 PM. With the help of 5 hour energy drink I was good for the night ahead. Got a cab upstairs for $20 into la ciudad. Checked into Hyatt Suites hotel which is about 2 blocks from Habanos and 5 blocks from Veneto. Paid $275 with taxes for three nights. This is a really nice hotel and I recommend it if you don't mind paying this higher cost. The chica fee here is $15. I registered for two adults and they didn't charge me for the first chica registered each night. All the hotel employees speak english which makes everything a lot easier here. The employees, front desk and security guards, were all a pleasure to deal with.

I'm staying at the Hyatt Place hotel which is pretty close to Habanos. I stopped in there late night a couple months ago and asked about the chica fee. I don't remember the exact dollar amount but I was very surprised how fair it was for a very nice hotel. Somewhere between $15 & $22. I'm staying for three nights and booked for two adults so expect my first chica fee will be free. I prefer TLN if possible with a 9. If not (my experience is that 9's almost never are willing to do TLN) I always pay up for two hours to elminate the rush factor. Hope the chica fee hasn't been increased since that night I visited. Will let you know.

Yes Beruit is very good. I highly recommend the baked kibbeh. They might call it roasted kibbeh there. Add a salad for a nice contrast. An excellent steak house is El Gaucho. It's 40 dollars + tax. The security is at both elevators, and when I was there last year they were VERY sneaky. They'd hide and come out to tap you on the shoulder as you got to the elevator.

You might try bribing security but I've seen them also have two people there to make sure bribing is harder.

If you want a hotel close by that has a cheaper fee try the Tuscano Inn Hotel or Coral Suites. Both have it around $20 to $25. Call ahead and confirm.

Golden time is $120 and is like an Asian massage parlor with rooms and full service, just all Colombian gals. 10 or so in the 7-9 area. Many taxi drivers don't know it and you can just say Plaza Mirage on Tumba Muerto.

Someone asked for restaurants. Best seafood was a place that I can't remember the actual name but everyone knows it by the name of owners. Acha. Just around the corner from Habano's.

We stayed at Royal Sonesta. Chica fee is ridiculous at $66. First chica is free if you register for 2 people. After that they will charge you. My friend just walked straight to the elevator and when the front desk waved at him, he just waved and shouted Hola and jumped in the elevator. He said when he got to the room, his phone was ringing but he just unplugged it and forgot about it. 5 girls in 5 nights and no fee as he just did the same thing every night.
