I was thinking of heading to Panama City from Dec 17-22 & was wondering how the mongering action is there at this time. Have all the Colombianas fled back to the homeland for the holidays? Will there be a good scene at the usual haunts, Habanos & the Veneto? Anybody who's been there at this time in years past or any locals please give me a heads-up!

I understand if I took Taxi, I should not mentioned Golden times to the driver but, I wonder in which location should I get down so that I will just walk by myself to golden times.

Tell the driver to take you to the Fantastic Casino in El Dorado / Chinatown. Get out of the cab, get the security pat-down, go inside. Use the rest room. Come out of the casino 5 minutes later and your cabbie would have found a new fare. This will avoid the $10 upcharge. Then, walk up the hill past a block and a half passing the KFC and the McDonalds, and walk towards the main 6 lane road. Cross the street to the Popeye's chicken. Go into the strip mall courtyard. 25 meters down from the Popeye's chicken, you will see the entrance to GT. It will have an ATM and two security guys hanging out by the door, maybe a cabbie or two.

Long story short the voucher that I have won allows me to go to a direct flight destination from my home international airport. But down to the details, I am planning to visit Panama City around March or April. What hotels are available that are chica friendly? I gather Veneto is obviously ha, but I am looking for something a little more upscale. If anyone has some tips for me when looking to book a hotel (location, amenities, service etc).

In my opinion Veneto is upscale. It is located in the El Congrejo area which is central downtown tourist area. Veneto has a casino where you will find lots of action. El Congrejo is heavily patrolled so it is safe. You will find lots of restaurants closeby and directly across the street from Veneto is Manolos a sidewalk style restaurant, great for people watching and plenty of colombianas sit there waiting for clients to come over and talk. Another hotel very closeby, brand new is Victoria Suites. Less than a block from Veneto and very upscale.

Just wanted to say Hi to everybody and introduce myself. I am Todd from the US. I have been living in the Cayman Islands for several months now. Due to my visa here I travel to Cuba once a month and love the women there. How does Panama city compare to the experience in Cuba?

I followed the same path as you. I am 9 yrs out of Cayman and we both know the party scene there. My last trip to Cuba was in 2002. That was when you could spend $us. The scene then was absolutely insane. A friend best described it as a "Reverse Universe". Best times of my life. You will find action in Panama; the scene is more subdued and will cost you more. Panama compared to Cayman is "out of the ballpark" but pretty tame compared to Cuba. My Panama experience is based on life in Boquete Chiriqui with infrequent trips to Panama City.

Also, I remember that last time I went there, they will have a line up and once you choose the lady you like, then she lead you to the cubicle or rooms and after the deeds, you just pay down stairs?

I don't speak any spanish, I think that is the false that my lady works not well on my first visit way back several years ago. I hope if I could have some good references number for nice chicas there. I will only have 1 chance to visit as I will depart soon.

I'm not sure but my assumption would be that they would either charge you a fee or not be chica friendly. Best bet would be to call them to clarify.
