As for some places to go, I have read a lot of reports. But what I was looking for is a bar where a lot of the working girls go. I am looking for a place like the Blue Marlin in San Jose. I have never been a big fan of strip bars.

Can anyone suggest anywhere to try?

Firstly I want to put it out there that I'll be coming to PTY for a short trip starting on Wed 11/29, and if anyone out there wants to meet up, let me know. I've mongered plenty in CR and Colombia, but my first time in PTY (gotta burn up some excess vaca time).

Secondly, I want to thank everyone on this list for your informative and often insightful posts. I datamined many of your reports and now I feel like I can almost hit the ground running when I arrive.

Thirdly, part of hitting the ground running is about knowing where you are and having a good feel of an area via a map is always helpful for starters. But there are few if any decent maps of PTY online. Additionally, have any of you used Google Earth to look at downtown PTY? There's a big fat CLOUD right on top of the Cangrejo area. What bad timing. Anyone have access to photo satellite in geonsynchronous orbit around PTY for another photo?

I have visited River Club twice in the past week. As indicated elsewhere here, it is difficult to find. When driving, turn onto Via Argentina from Via Espana at the Blockbuster. About 50 meters north, turn into a small, unmarked, one-lane driveway with a wall obscuring the entrance. The driveway opens into a large parking lot surrounded by 2-story bldgs. River Club is on your left with a bright sign. Ring the doorbell to enter.

On both visits, I encountered 5 to 10 women waiting. All seemed to be 6 to 8 (all were sitting, but seemed to have nice bods). The price was $60, completo. Reports below suggested higher, but maybe that was the tourist price or they've lowered their price.

The rooms were a little dingy and rugged, but clean, including a standard bed, sofa, and full bathroom. They were about the same quality as the rooms at Oasis.

The women I experienced were friendly, accommodating, and not rushed. I selected one morenita panameña that was excellent.

Basically, I would judge it as a competitive experience to Golden Time, just a tad less on every scale. That includes $24 less on price, 10 min less driving across town, and less potential shame in parking in GT's strip mall parking lot while there's a reception at the place next door.

I just recently purchased a new car. The good thing is it attracts females, if you are the type to honk your horn and see if a chic will come to the car (which I am not.) And obviously I can drive now as opposed to taking Taxis everywhere.
The only bad thing, is the car is a little too flashy (convertible, etc), so due to common sense I cant and wont just drive it anywhere. So im drive to Dico Foxi on Monday evening. The whole experience wasnt that bad, they were actually cool, and after I gave them the money they help me find parking, lol. That was my first experience having to pay off a cop, so now I know how to handle it from here on out.

After dealing with the cops I went to Miami Club. I have not been in ages so I just decided to check it out. They have remodeled, it looks like an American style strip club, elevated dance floor throughout the club,comfortable couches, low lights, actually looks much better then before. Considering I wasnt there to purchase, just get some water, I didnt price anything. About 10 girls present, all 6-8s.

I have only called a classified ad once here in Panama. It was a bad experince (She was an old, overweight Colombian). But what I have done and had some success is put an ad in the local newspaper looking for a girlfriend. My phone was ringing, but I had MUCH MORE success doing that in other countries such as Dominican Republic, colombia. Anywho, this weekend this going to be shit here, they are having some independence thing, everything is closed up.

I would say that I agree with his findings 1 thru 6 and his conclusion. My guess is that he tried a couple of these and then extrapolated from there. For example, the comment on Jeannette who never showed. The majority of these are just copied from the classifieds.

I would say don't call any of these unless it is Sunday, you are extremely horny and have not met anybody else.

But pass the bottle when you are finished, it might improve my eyesight.

Perhaps I didn't make a clear point on the objective of this exercise. I called all these classifieds looking for a thin chica with a good attitude. The phones are the actual phones posted and I have added commentary based on the phone conversations, actual meetings and in some cases doing the girls.

I figured this would be of use because we all wonder sometimes if there is any value in calling classifieds of the newspaper.

In my case, I think the experience was a mixed bag. Bottom line, if you have the time, call and check the girls out. If you don't like them send them back with cab fare money and a polite "thanks but no thanks."

Dear Brethren Mongers,

I recently came back from a trip to Panama City and considered what kind of contribution I could make to this august forum. It ocurred to me to focus on classified ads placed in the electronic version of the Panama America newspaper (epasa.com). I consulted the classified for the previous three weeks before going and once in Panama started calling the numbers. These are the results:

1. In order to try this, you need to speak fairly good spanish.

2. You have to be very strict in your request. I asked for a thin girl with a good attitude. Thin as in no fat rolls and a firm belly. Breast size or height were not important.

3. Unless you have the time, calling off the newspaper ads is a very hit or miss proposition.

4. While prices are cheaper, the surprise factor is still pretty high, in spite of my direct questioning in terms of looks etc.

5. Girls are never on time.

6. Get a cel phone or else you will spend a lot of time dialing for sex.

Having said all of the above, I think it is better to troll the casinos, Habanos, or Miami Club or La Bodeguita looking for chicas.
