Well , I just came back from Panama stayed for 2 weeks, mongering and boozing.

To begin I stayed at the Caribe hotel, the rate was 25 dollars a day not bad , Av Peru and calle 28, 9th floor with a nice view. the very same night my girl friend from colombia and her friend came to the hotel, it was very charminhg to see them again. That same night I did them both, after towards because they didn't know much about Panama I told them where to go to work, basically they where working to send some money back home, once they lost their shyness, they just went experts , and in the first 8 days they banged around 8 guys, specially meeting them in the casino areas of veneto . They where happy to have me with them, I brought them luck according to them.

Many times we slept together doing a threesome, however after a few nights, you guys won't belive it, they charged me, My own girlfriend told me to pay her. Wtf, ok it was fine for me beacuse I was getting it free, however later they ask me for threesome and money obviously...Which I turned down !

Thanks for the many quality responses. I'll either do Crowne Plaza or Veneto. Veneto has a web rate of $95 incl. breakfast so that may be hard to beat. They also have a U.S. phone number so I'll look into the casino rate. If I get the casino rate but don't gamble too much they won't jack the rates up high when I check out will they?

This is my first Central America trip but I am experienced at this game. I'm planning 3 nights in San Jose, 2 in Jaco and then 4 in Panama City. I'm starting to wonder if I should try to squeeze in a couple of nights in Cartagena since its only a 1 hour flight from PTY. Any opinions?

Call the hotel and ask for the casino rate; it is $70.00 plus 10% tax for a grand total of $77 per night. Beats paying $140.00 per night.

Hotel is loaded with working girls in the casino.

I stayed in the Veneto last week for 4 days. I had some friends here so I was in and out the hotel and arranged everything for them. Ok, this is for everyone here but lets try to keep it in the family.

Getting a discount room at the Veneto hotel:

Call the hotel and tell them that you need to speak to the manager of reservations. I knew her name but it was WAY to hard to pronounce or remember, but she does speak english. Tell her you have an extremely important client coming to town and that you have a corp and business here in panama. She will ask you the name of the guest, dates etc. I did that very thing, and was able to get a per day rate of 89 bucks when normally I think the veneto is about 140ish per night. Obviously I am not saying this is a for sure thing, but it worked for me and someone else I know.

Do not stay at the Courtyard its not "way out" but you are better off at the Veneto, El panama, Crowne plaza. You can walk around, just use common sense, and the Veneto is girl friendly, as least everytime I have stayed there. Dont know about the others.

I don't have answers for everything you ask but here's what I know.

The Courtyard is definitely away from the action, but a cheap taxi ride.

No problem bringing girls into the Marriott. Just remember that you are in a nice hotel where most of the guest are there for other business. Act accordingly.

Read Spidermonkeys reports on guest fees at El Panama. He made "friends" with the security guards.

I am interested in what is going on now at Veneto. I don't have recent info.

Read my reports from last November. I felt very safe walking around as late as 5:00 in the morning in the areas you described. Just don't flash cash or a lot of jewelry. Walk confidenly and you will have no problem.

You may consider the Crown Plaza (.http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/pc/1/en/hd/panhb). It's next to Hotel Panama and Venneto and a very short walk to where all the action is. During my stay, I kept my bussiness on the low, so I was not bothered taking anyone to my room. It is quite safe to walk around those areas. There is always going to be someone looking for a handout; just mean what you say, keep walking and ignoring the pleas at night. All these places have highly visible security, so you will feel safe even walking around nearby.

I'll be making my first trip to PTY and plan on spending 3-4 nights at a good, well located hotel with an in room safe. I'm looking at Veneto, El Panama, Marriott. I would like the Courtyard but I have read its farther from the action. If anyone knows how to get rooms at these places at lower prices, I would appreciate any links. I also wanted to know if I'll have trouble bringing guests to my room if I choose Veneto. I have read conflicting reports here about the girl friendliness of these places. Also, is walking safe in the Veneto/El Panama area. This issue has not been addresses in the forum in the past few months.

Sorry to disapoint you, but I don´t think that you will find hot pictures and phone numbers posted on the web like in other countries. The closest thing for that is www.elcomplaciente.com, but that service has not received many favorable reviews (if any).

I once explored with the idea of creating such a website. However, when I went searching for advertisers, I was surprised at the resistance of getting their pictures posted on the web. (Aside from the point that the law wasn´t absolutely clear on whether what I wanted to do was legal or not).

Habanos is located right across the street from the Marriot hotel. As Cattinc said GREAT place to start the evening.
