Actually, you might be right about it being an hour at Golden Time on the premises for $84. I've only done take out during the last year or two. There used to be a deal, where you could tell them you were referred by Sandman and they were supposed to give you an extra 15 minutes. I think the $84/$94 is for 45 minutes, not an hour, which might explain about 10% of your problem. I wouldn't give up on them though -- sounds like the problem was the woman, not GT.

That's the very first I've heard that it's 45 mins, not 60 mins. When the Ice Queen herself proposes, 1/2 hour massage, 1/2 hour sex, it gives the distinct impression that you've got an hour to work with. Ditto when she abruptly terminates the action, and proposes I buy "another hour". 45 mins for $95 (or, $126 per hour) in Panama is BS IMHO, but then again, as you may have guessed, I'm a "dilligent consumer".

As to the notion that, "I just found a bad apple within this impecably honorable, client satisfaction oriented business", I say, there's never just one cockroach. That's why my review indicts GT as a whole; they know the girls who deliver and those who don't, and they make choices about who they employ... their chicas are their business. Given that they're obviously not "minding their store" (aside from happily collecting your $$$ up front), I maintain, RUN DON'T WALK FROM GOLDEN TIMES.

I have a gringo friend who lives/works in PTY, lives right across from Veneto.

I've been in there a couple times since I got here a week ago, and noticed the chica scene was different, from last significant time I was in PTY in March. Friend filled me in.

They had some sort of police raid, maybe a month ago, not sure, but whatever happened, the rules of engagement there are now different.

There's no more hoards of chicas around the cocktail tables with their signs out. If a working girl is in that area, she must be accompanied by a man, can't just loiter alone or with her amigas. The chicas are there, but they're at the penny slots, playing real slow like, and looking around alot. So it's more work for everyone now.

I'm at Tocumen airport waiting for my flight home, so I thought I'd give a short report on my trip here to Panama City. I'm not going to review specific girls, because I always think it's a waste of time to try to track down a specific girl someone has recommended. In my experience, YMMV no matter what, and what does the trick for me may not for you, etc.

In any event, here's a brief overview.

Hotel: Stayed at the Las Vegas Suites Hotel across from the Veneto casino. I got a very nice "studio" for $60 + tax per night, which suited my budget fine. I'm sure you can get cheaper but I was happy with the price. The "studio" isn't much to speak of. It's a big room with a small kitchenette and bathroom. No carpeting or special amenities, but it was clean and the staff is good. The two best things about the Las Vegas Suites is 1) it has a wireless system that's quite good and 2) it's connected to Pomodoro and the Wine Bar. The Wine Bar is really excellent--good value and good wines. Nice place to sit. Pomodoro has quite good food and an excellent breakfast.

Food: Other than Pomodoro, the only meal I had worth notice was at the steakhouse Martin Fierro, which is down the street from the LV Suites at 21 Calle Eusebio Morales. It's an Argentine-style steakhouse and the (local) meat was fantastic. I got a great NY strip--bife de chorizo--and an half-bottle of wine for $20. (The imported beef is much more expensive.)

Chicas: Of course, this is why we all come to Panama. I didn't have time for MPs or brothels, so I only visited a few places.

--Veneto casino: Full of girls every night after about 11. Just go up the escalator to the bar and you'll see them. They also congregate around the slots. You can pretty much assume that any girl alone or any group of 2-3 girls are on the job. Most of them are Colombians, but I found a few from Panama that spoke English. Cost is about $100 (I did not spend a lot of time trying to bargain, although I'm sure you can.) Some 9s, mostly 5s-7s.

--Habano's: This is a cigar bar/pool hall/bar across from the Marriott. If you can stand the smoke, it's a great place to hang out, with lots and lots of chicas. Some 9s, mostly 6s-7s. I think the price is a little lower here than at the casino.

--Bolero's: This is on Calle 42 in Bella Vista, and the girls there were smokin' hot. All 9's and 10s. It's a small place, so there weren't too many girls, but the ones that were there were worth doing ... and doing. My guess is the price is also about $100, although I didn't check.

I didn't go to the other hang-outs mentioned in previous reports, but my quick observation suggests that almost every casino and every bar near a casino has available girls. There are also lots of street girls who look a cut above what you see in most places.

I apologize to all of you for not being more specific about my activities, but I'm sure you can imagine. I had no bad experiences, I had no great experiences, but I was content. I just thought it would be good to provide an updated, albeit brief, guide to adult fun in Panama. Next time I'll stay longer and visit more places.

I've never pulled anyone from LifeGirls, but $75 is definitely more than I've paid for Oasis. Lifegirls is definitely worth a look. It's certainly not up to the standards of GT, Elite or LePalace, or even Miami IMHO, but the two times I went there were some reasonably attractive women. It's not a bad place to drink an over-priced beer or two before you head off to some of the freelancer spots around Espana.

GT will cost $84 if you don't go there in a taxi. Or get the taxi to drop you off closeby -- tell them you're going to a place close to Plaza California and get them to drop you off at McDonalds or the Esso station or someplace.

LT's description is extremely accurate: roll call, rooms, showers, tables, etc.. The price used to be $80 + 5% tax, but your price looks like they bumped it up to $90.

I have visited Golden Time at least 20 times over the past year. Friends accompanied me about 5 to 10 times (clients and business associates too), including some take out. In discussions, our experiences ranged from excellent to above average. I've never heard of an experience as bad as yours. But, from surveying some of the looks on the faces of some of the women, I've always assumed that there were a few bad attitudes in there. I admit, I'm looking more for friendliness when they parade in the salon. And yes, the women aren't imported for their massage skills, for sure.

GT is what it is: relatively expensive for sometimes pedestrian action, but almost always with a very attractive performer in a clean and "non-seedy" environment. And it's extremely convenient. Hell, they even take credit cards. Certainly, an accomplished monger can find much easier pickings around the city.

My only complaint with the place is those silly massage tables are about 3 or 4 inches too high for standing action (I'm 6'1"), and sometimes hearing the guy in the next room banging away is a bit of a buzz kill.

I guess I have insight having worked as a bartender and doorman at a strip club in the US, but it's obvious they are all about extracting the maximum amount of your money for the least amount of their effort.

A brief review of 2 MPs in El Cangrejo where I'm staying. Mainly just a price update, coz I didn't patronize them other than to walk in and walk back out a minute later several nights ago.

Sunday night I walked into "Life Girls" on Via Espana. Some Guido-The-Pimp is sitting at the bottom of the stairs, I ask him how much for sexo, he said $60, please go on upstairs and check it out. I start up the stairs and he says, oh yeah, $15 cover fee. I'm gone, this place oozes sleaze, and I aint paying no cover. I start to walk out, he says wait wait, calls something to the bouncer at the top of the stairs, and then tells me no cover, go on up. So the games are beginning right out of the gate.. which turns me off, and combined with the sorry appearance of the place, I turn and head back down the stairs without saying anything more.

I know Oasis is 60-something (last I'd heard- never patronized them), and I tell him this, but oh no, with him it's $35, and he's excited to walk over to Oasis with me. I'm skeptical but, if he's right, that's good, so we walk the block or so to Oasis together. Once inside, I get the prices, as he looks on. It's $35 alright-- for 30 mins massage, no sex. One hour massage with sex is $75. She first told me $65 but then corrected herself, to $75. I guess Guido's gotta eat?

Normally I would have been willing to pay $65 for the hour deal, but I was not going to reward Guido for his bait and switch game. I turn and walk out, ignoring Guido as if he doesn't exist. He follows me outside, as I'm climbing the stairs to the street level, he asks me for $1 tip. I just let out a loud PFFFT! and continue on my way.

So this is prolly true of all the MPs, but if you let one of the Guido-The-Pimp guys who hang around in the area seeking to rope in Gringos etc "deliver" you to the MP, you're looking at paying them a (hidden) commission built into the price the MP quotes you.

I know from having spent cumulative weeks in El Cangrejo PTY in the past, there are a couple of Guidos routinely hanging around near Oasis. One is a 50ish Black guy named Tony, speaks good english, loud raspy voice. The other regular, I don't know his name, but he's a clean cut Latino who molests you walking by, trying to hand you a flyer. I must have walked by him a dozen times in my prior time here, every time he says hello and wants to shake my hand and give me a flyer and presumably drag me into Oasis, every time I ignore him and leave his extended hand hanging; and the next time it's the exact same routine as if he's never seen me before. As a tall lanky 6-3 gringo, I find this hard to imagine.

But if you're going to try out these MPs, I'd go to whatever lengths necessary to AVOID the Guidos outside. Maybe a brisk walk past as though you're late for something, and a last second turn into the MP. If a Guido walks in after you to try to claim he "delivered you", well, you'll have to deal with that, tell the reception you don't know that person, and don´t pay a dime more than you've heard from reliable sources is their base price.

Readers already know where I'm at WRT the "pay up front and take your chances" MPs at this point... pfff!
