Posts: 368There are 2 Cienagas. That's a good thing because no extranjero nor Colombiano has any business in Cienaga Magdalena.
Full of shit... no. Watching people's back and trying to give good advice... yes.
Cheers

Posts: 1694No, the Cienaga is not in Magdelana, its in Cordoba and is about 10 hours drive to Santa Marta or more.
The Cienaga is one of the most beautifull places in the world that I have seen, you might be right about the Paraca´s being very strong there but I have friends who deal with these people, they have lost alot of power in the last few years and even months.
In Ayapel, we stay right next door on the Cienaga to a T.V. personality who owns a lodge there who you see on T.V. every night, I have seen him on the weekends there.
Out on the Cienaga, we stay on private islands and when we go to our farmstay (I carnt really say who owns the farm !!)
You carnt really stop in the Cienaga, the meaning of the word Cienaga is ¨inland fresh water lake¨
Winner, you are so full of shit mate, the best thing you can do is come along on a Aussie Greg´s Colombian Tour, leaving this Wednesday morning.

Posts: 368You are going to Cienaga? In Magdalena about 30-45 minutes from Santa Marta. Have you lost it? There is absolutly nothing in Cienaga that anyone would need. It's 100% owned and operated by Paracho... and not the "amicable" ones. What in the world are you going there for? And tell me you are not taking people there with you. I hope you have warned them of the risks. Someone will get shot in Cienaga. Most of my Colombian friends won't even stop in Cienaga.
