    Hotel Inca Real

I am at Inca Real right now. It was part of my flight package. It is ok, my room has no A / see I imagine the other rooms are the same. The rooms need fresh paint, carpet, and cleaning. Typical non chain Latin America hotel. Chica fee is $10. Pretty quite here at night. WIFI is good. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Seems like alot of Costa Rica travelers. A little noisy in the morning. Room includes breakfast, cereal, fruit, toast, coffee and juice. Next door to VIP, last night I walked to New Fantasy and Sportsman. I did walk to Del Rey, this morning. Most Chicas want to take a cab to come here. 2,000 colons.

I am not sure how much money I would have saved if it was not a flight / hotel package deal.

Some former Top SJO hotel recon.

Has anyone heard any word on the former Hotel Europa's status? Or the Freebird Hotels status? Those are the two places I loved to stay at, no chica fee and walking distance from everything. Hoping to hear at least one of them have reopened. If anyone is around the area, please pop by and do some recon. Much appreciated.

Hotel little Havana vs. La amistad

    Hey everyone,

Has anyone ever stayed at both HLH and la amistad? I have reservations at la amistad but they screwed me by reserving me the worse room next to the train. The below is the break down:

    La Amistad:

    - all inclusive, free laundry, no chica fee and free ride to the airport. $100/ night cash. They are booked the week I'm arriving except for the shitty room.

    HLH.

-free laundry, no chica fee, meals separate. $50/ nightly.

    Which would you guys choose?

    Little Havana Sportsbar and Hotel

    They have reopened.
    Calle 3 B at Avenida 9.

I don't know why they say 3 B on their card, when the street sign says 3 A?

Anyway it is next door to Zona II on the corner.

    Just an overnight

Mona Lisa (whatever new name), Amistad, or Sleep Inn? Just have a day & overnight after a few other destinations, it's my 3rd trip overall. Clean, safe, short taxi to action, and no chica fee is what I'm looking for. Last time I stayed at Mona Lisa, liked that they had a restaurant & poker game. So any thoughts or opinions?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the info.
El Maragato is not opposite Presidente. That one is Balmoral and is not. El Maragato is further down the pedestrian walk, past McDonald's and it's next door to the supermarket.

My friend and I just stayed there and they have a few tour groups staying there, but seem to be okay with an extra guest. The rooms are decent, but there are two problems:

The carpet hasn't been cleaned in years and the taxi has to stop one block away, unless after 10 pm Breakfast is decent and if they have a fridge available, they will move to.

Your room at no extra cost. If they thoroughly clean or replace the carpet, I would stay there again, since Morazan is off my list.

If you have not come to SJO cancel the Holiday Inn they charge a $70 fee to bring chicas to your room. Read the other post for hotel suggestions.

    To SJO or not to

I have been reading a bit and see essentially the same theme. Dirty hotels and rampant crime / corruption.

Now thinking of not doing a CR trip.

    Thanks all for your reports.

    Hyatt?

How are the Hyatt hotels? I have never been to CR but thinking about going in a month would like to stay at a nice place but not too far to play.

The only reason I'm asking is due to my experience in Lima where I could only have one girl up to my room at a time.

I'll probably have more questions as we get closer. Thanks for all your help and recommendations!

    Mr. Prick
Most places are cool with multiple girls. No problem at the Sportsmens, Amistad, Zona II, the Mona Lisa or the Del Rey. Only problem with the the. Are. Is an $11 chica fee per girl. So multiples is going to cost you.
