    Genghis Khan,
The purpose of my report wasn't to put you down. I do respect your mongering, and I appreciate your well-written reports very much. I never got close to this high-end mongering in Brazil. I find it very fascinating and interesting.

My mongering is a mixture of everything from VM and short-times for R$ 10 up to termavisits and escortgirls. I do enjoy sleazy bars just as much as I enjoy sitting in a nice terma dressed in a comfy robe.

When I read your report I made a comparison to how a mongering day actually looks for me. I wanted go give a perspective of mongering in the other end. "Drinking water out of the toilet bowl instead of paying for a bottle of Evian" can be a pleasant experience.

    @Sperto

I agree with Funkignitor. The primary funtion of this board is for guys to report their experiences as honestly as possible. If details are given, then other guys are given the opportunity to follow in their fellow mongers footsteps. If others do not like the services a monger got for the price he paid, fine, they don't have to do the same thing or similar things.

It's all about respect. You can laugh at a guy in private when you read his posts. But if you post some non-constructive remark, you just come across as a snot-faced asshole.

Having said this, I actually have to admit that your report below was kind of a funny satire. I do not know Ghengis Khan, but perhaps he was also laughing when he read this. The bottom line of your report is that you can drink water out of the toilet bowl instead of paying for a bottle of Evian. Umm, OK, if you are happy with this. And don't get me wrong: while I don't mind shelling out big bucks once in a while, I am also a bargain hunter at heart. I have eaten many excellent meals in Rio for very little money, too. Food is not where I choose to put my money.

Neiter are rental cars, by the way. I just got back from Germany, where I had a car for two days for a total of $12. It got me to the women just as good as the $300 that I would have had to shell out for the Mercedes. Some other guy may want to put that money into a car. If this is what he wants, I am not going to laugh at him, because I got the way better deal in my mind.

Actually, since we are at it, you may want to look at the reports from the ISG board monger meeting at FKK World in Germany. They have just appeared here:
    http://internationalsexguide.info/fo...ead.php?t=1464
There you can see what a much more civil way of dealing with each other accomplishes. Board member Routard had posted the meeting date, and 6 mongers showed up. We had not known each other before, but were glad that we came. People actually shared some somewhat embarrissing, but funny, stories with each other. They were secure in the knowledge that their fellow mongers would not post this and make fun of them. That's what a little bit of mutual respect accomplishes. Think about it!

I did report her - hold your horses about your conclusions until you have read what happened the next day.

The lunch was comida a quilo a quilo at Aipo & Aipim. The interior is kind of like a bistro and the food is contemporary Brazilian. I had grilled chicken, black beans, rice and calabresa linguica. Along with one can of guaraná the bill was R$ 12. This place serves some of Copacabanas best comida a quilo with a bahian twist.

After having slept for about an hour, showered and shaved I took the bus 455 Meier to Praça das Bandeiras. I felt the need to visit Vila Mimosa, VM. A nice journey in an a/c bus. I had dinner at a street stall in VM. I don't remember the name of this street stall, but I am sure I can find out if anybody is interested. I told the chef to put orégano on my grilled cheese and asked for the beer recommendation for the day. I had a great meal and two cans of Brahma. The bill was about R$ 6 - good value for the money.

After finishing my dinner I headed to "Chileno" (the owner of Casa da Chileno). He greeted me welcome back with a handshake. It was already crowded and the only table in the bar was occupied, so I were shown to the alley outside.

A lively girl with scarred face immediately latched on to me. She followed me out on the street, and introduced herself as Xuxa. She hadn't grabbed my balls yet, so it kind of caught me by surprise as this is the normal way of doing it inside VM. It turned out that several other tings were not normal this evening. I ordered a bottle of Antarctica, and in order to try to shake her off me, I asked Xuxa where the bathroom was (even though I knew quite well) to have an excuse to look around the place to see what other girls were present and not look busy with Xuxa. What she did was not surprising - she showed me to the bathroom, went inside with me and waited inside while I finished my business. When I had finished, she pulled down her skirt and showed me her butt and asked me if I liked her scarred ass. I just smiled and shook my head in delight.

When I got back to my table I tried to tell Xuxa that I was looking for someone else. I walked around the place, I bumped into Nicole. She said that it was nice to see me and that if I needed her she would sit by the bar next to the orelhão - then she gave me a full kiss on the lips. This is normal in VM.

When I got back to Casa do Chileno I asked Chileno if Priscilla (probably the best GFE I have ever had at VM) would be present today. Chileno is the person dressed in shorts and chinelas, unshaved and always with a beer bottle in his hand. He told me that Priscilla would be coming later in the evening.

After about two or three hours, Chileno came over to my table and told me that Priscilla had called and told that she wouldn't be able to come tonight anyway. Now I had to start seriously considering other girls. I noticed a petite morena sitting on the stairs outside the bar. I tried to get eye contact with her several times but was not successful as she was in an energetic conversation with another girl beside her.

I found a tall mulatta with a face bearing some similarities with Whoopi Goldberg I thought (not the same full lips and not the same distinct nose) and she introduced her to me as Maria. She was probably the best looking girl present tonight.

I chose Maria and was ready to go upstairs with her. I negotiated the bill as I know the staff and could probably get the price down. The bill presented to me turned out to be R$ 25 which wasn't bad including two condoms. Normally it would have been around R$ 27.

Inside the room Maria literally jumped me and tore my clothes off. We had very passionate sex for about twentyfive minutes (I don't remember exactly) including BBBJ and then we got interrupted by a knock on the door. The time was out, 5 minutes too early.

I decided to make a complaint to Chileno about the time.
Very nice - I laughed my ass off about this too and I fiind it kind of amusing that you spend so much time trying to put my down.

    Brazilian economy

Sal Dali - the windfall profits with the strengthening real have to be cashed in yet if some of the mongers on the board have invested in Brazilian funds. I for my part are de-investing at present time with a very nice profit margin of over 40 %. The real will drop. I was just the last 2 weeks up in Savador and when you follow all the politcal scandals and the weakening of the economy - this has a very bad effect. The Euro stood at around 2,54 and the USD at 2,18 - the real is artficially high and this is hurting the entire industry - not only the tourist industry. The prediction is that the GDP is dropping to - 2 % for the last third of this year against a normal grow of 4 - 5 %.
I am regularly in Salvador for business and I had this time the impression that everything is run-down. A lot of the restaurants at the Orla are closed, no re-investments, even my favourite hotel has not done any renovations. Nothing!
It is very obvious that Brazil is in for some bad economical times.

    Low roller in Rio.

    Help

    Wandeing Fool,

You hit the nail right on the head with your comments about Help. What other place in the world gives you the quality, availability, drama and excitement of Help? Next week will be my 4th trip to Rio since March; feels like a drug addiction - and the nights at Help are certainly a huge part of it. Barbarellas may be a favorite for some, but the GDP "Parade of Champions" up the stairs at Help between 11:30 and 12:15 is one of the most exciting daily events to witness and be a part of....at least in the monger world.

Yes. It's good for you and maybe good for Brazil. The predicted impact is that the Real will weaken while the Dollar will strengthen. This will make their products more marketable overseas as well, since their unrealistically strong currency makes their product too costly for many markets. It's also made their gdp's (garotas dp) a little wacky with their costs too!

So I'm not even going to lend credence to your racially tinged remarks by getting into the gutter with you.

I will point out, however, that the fact that you spend time 'negotiating' at Help! speaks volumes about the level of your taste. As I have said many times on this forum, Help! is strictly for newbies. Most of the women there are skanks, as they are at Meia Pataca as well. For quality, go to the downtown termas where the brasileiros go, where you'll find both high quality 'booty' and a blessed absence of gringo mongers. So stick to your Colt 45 malt liquor, bro; I prefer to partake of champagne.

Why dat man gotstah be akkin like datt?

I get minez off the beach at Ipanema, Leblon or chat it up right off the beach at Copacabana. No booze or malt likkah, just mufkinherb and a hole-lotta self confidence.

Champagne is for mimosas over by the raibow flag in Ipanema. HAHA, just joking PAL. Chill...tranquillo.

Analysts predict bad news on Brazil GDP

Economists have predicted further bad news for the embattled government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva today when figures for Brazil's gross domestic product in the third quarter are expected to show the economy at best stagnating but probably contracting compared with the second quarter.

A contraction would follow eight consecutive quarters of growth and most economists say any downturn would be cyclical. But the slowdown - likely to be bigger than previously expected - would come at a bad time for the government, which is already dogged by a scandal over alleged vote-buying and illegal campaign finance.

Any setback would intensify calls for a relaxation of the tight fiscal and monetary policies championed by Antonio Palocci, the finance minister. His policies are credited with securing Brazil's economic stability over the past three years but have been attacked recently by ministers eager to relax public spending restraints.

Mr Palocci has been embroiled in an increasingly acrimonious and public dispute with Dilma Rousseff, the minister responsible for co-ordinating execution of government policy. He appeared to emerge strengthened on the weekend after Mr Lula da Silva called for a truce. But other ministers continued to attack his policies this week and bad news could further weaken his position.

The comparatively strong performance of the economy over the past two years has helped maintain popular support for Mr Lula da Silva in spite of public unease over the corruption scandal.

A study published this week shows that the proportion of the population living below the poverty line (those earning enough to consume 2,300 calories a day) fell to 25.1 per cent last year from 27.3 per cent in 2003.

Yet a downturn in the third quarter could erode popular support as campaigning approaches for next October's elections.

"The current slump may not exactly be a recession but it may feel a lot like one from where President Lula is sitting," notes Christian Stracke of CreditSights, a New York research firm.

The biggest impact on the economy has come from Brazil's high lending rates and from the strength of the real, which has risen from R$3.50 to the dollar when Mr Lula da Silva took office in January 2003 to about R$2.20 this week.

The strength of the real has been driven partly by the central bank's use of high interest rates to control inflation and by a surge in exports caused by strong global demand led by China. Exports are expected to reach $117bn (€99bn, £68bn) this year, producing a record trade surplus of $43bn.

But the high exchange rate is causing many exporters to lose their competitive edge. While the value of exports continues to rise, partly due to high commodity prices, their volume has been falling steadily since the first quarter.

For many manufacturers with costs or prices set by international markets, the strong real has also affected profitability at home. "The strength of the currency is causing manufacturers to delay investments," says Francisco Gros, a former head of the central bank and now president of Fosfertil, a manufacturer of fertiliser.

On Monday, Arcelor, the world's biggest steelmaker, said it had postponed plans to build a $3bn steel mill in north-eastern Brazil with Baosteel of China because of the strong real. It said the cost of building the plant in Brazil would be three times that of building it in China.

A survey by Brazil's confederation of industry found this month that the proportion of companies planning to increase investments in the year ahead had fallen from 40 per cent in October 2004 to 28.9 per cent today.

Consumer confidence is also low, although Celso Toledo, chief economist at MCM, a São Paulo consultancy, says spending may recover: "When interest rates are high but people think they will come down under stable inflation, they delay consumption, which is what they are doing now."

The question is whether the economy will recover in time to cement confidence in current policies by next year's elections. A recent central bank survey of market economists showed a consensus forecast of 3.5 per cent growth next year. But many economists expect growth of less than 3 per cent, raising the chances of a strong showing by a populist candidate for the presidency.

    WF,

I can't do nothing but Value that.

On my 14 day trip I only been to Help 4 times and I never had a bad experience. I only went there just to flirt, mingle, get sexually harrassed, dance and have a good time. If I picked up something at the end of the night, then that was a plus for me. Even after reading the multitudes of disdain for the place I still had to check it out for myself. Besides after my daily agendas, 1:00 a.m. is still to early to go to sleep in Rio so that was all the more reason for meto enjoy a few hours of getting groped, lied to and did I mention few DFKs here and there. Always enjoyed the music and I plan on enjoying it again when I return in Feb.
