My 2 cents, yes a termas has value, for example you spend 2 hours in a termas but only 40 minutes in the cabine and you pay 200 reais thats 100 reais an hour.

I didn't speak any Portuguese back in 2000, then in 2001 I started to learn and every year since then I met a non pro and even several during a trip. My first was in 2001, I was in a restaurant and spoke very little crude Portuguese and picked up my waitress in Copacabana, spent several days with her, she was 25. I won't mention them all but I met another 25 year old on the beach 2 years later, she was wonderful, met another 25 year old sitting next to me at a restaurant, none of them spoke English and my Portuguese has been improving every year and I practice every day. I know it's about money. All relationship needs investment of time, money and energy. But the return, or the possibility of good return (getting laid) is much better in Rio than in US or Europe. And the girls are so passionate, even the pro's. That's amazing. I have used Karla Models in the past, but it was in DEC and it seems, may have paid more. I was pleased with the service and will use again.

Regarding the exchange rates, they are going up because the Brazilian Central Bank did not raise the countries interest rates. It may hit 2.50 the close of Friday's trading on the market.
