From what I have read in several Belgian and Moroccan newspapers, I seems that Belguel has more than once promised to these girls to marry them. Knowing that for many Moroccan girls, the mariage with a foreigner is the best way to be able to leave Morocco and to get a much better life abroad (at least, that is what they believe), there is no doubt that they were ready to agree to many things they would perhaps not do under normal circumstances. This approach was also clearly for Belguel a mean to minimise his costs (i.e. what he had to pay to the girls).

I leave to everybody on this board his own opinion on this way of proceding.

However, in that context, the question of the consent on the photos taken and their publication on this site (or other ones) remains.

I don't think there are many countries were the law gives the right to someone to make public nude photos without the prior and explicit consent of the subject. I doubt any of the girls taken in photo by Belguel has ever given her consent to this publication.

And even if it would be the case, I am not even sure that such a consent would be valid from a mere juridical point of view. Indeed, Morocco - and, by the way, the other countries were Belguel took his picture - is still an underdevelopped country. I am not sure that all the girls taken in photo...

(i) know the existence of the web, or

(ii) if they know, are really in position to evaluate its audience and impact and

(iii) really realise what the consequence might be of having their pictures published on a website.

In that way, one could easily argue that they didn't really know to what they have given their consent, which should normally make their consent void, because there was a dupery.

Beside all the arguments that have already been displayed here, this one should as such be sufficient for removing all pictures taken by Belguel, not only on the Moroccan part of the site, but also on the other threads.

Because there is no doubt in my view that when this story will be known outside of the Belgian/Moroccan circle (or out of the French speaking area), the authorities of other countries could investigate whether Belguel has travelled on their territory. And since no country wants to be known as a destination for sex travels...

And when I read that others, on this site, are ready to spread Belguels photos all over the Net, without having any right on them, I have really doubts about their mental health.

BTW, the thread about the Moroccan girls photos that was to be found on the Banker's site has been removed.

That depends on what agreeement has been reached regarding the taking of the photos. Professional pornographers have special release forms and there is no illusion what's going on. In about 95% of the cases on this forum, I'd be willing to bet all the tea made in China that any photos taken are meant for the private consumption of the individual, not for public publication on a site such as this one (or any site for that matter). Finally re your last point, in this particular instance the property owner asked a year ago that the pics be taken down/off, yet apparently his "property rights" don't matter at all?

While I absolutely agree that the photos should be removed, more than that this entire incident should serve as an object lesson to all users of this site as to what can happen to women when their pictures get posted on this site with their faces visible. This is not simply an issue of safety but of basic respect -- these women provided pleasure for us, and the absolute least we can do is clearly understand the impact that posting such photos can have on their lives. There have been various statements about whether or not one should have consent to post, dismissal of the rights of the women -- if they are paid to have sex, they get what they deserve, which is a truly pathetic argument from people who pay them money for their services, indignation from mongers whose photos have been shown to the women in question, and so on, but this incident should really put all that to rest.

A dozen women (so far) sent to prison is more than enough validation, in my opinion, for ending display of photographs entirely, as there's certainly nothing to prevent something like this from happening again. Indeed, the attention this site has received in the wake of this incident makes it far more likely that other women will fall under negative and hostile scrutiny. Surely that cannot at all be what this site is about.

Looking at the current poll results, I am astonished to still see an overwhelming majority of 70% who want the pics to stay online, but more or less a 100% majority of actual survey commentors who agree to remove the pics, respectively have changed their minds after having read the arguments below.

This anonymous "poll" not asking voters to justify their decission is ridiculous. I hardly find logical reasons anymore in support of leaving the pics online.

Jackson says: "This poll will be open for voting for just one week ending July 7th in order to prevent vote packing by Muslim fanatics". What I see now, is not the latter, but irresponsible voters who "just press a button" without carefully thinking about the impact their vote may, or better WILL, have on the girls.
