A fight on the far end of the walking street near macdo between a korean (asian) and a white male who was spewing profanities and racial slurs at the Asian person, some pushing I didn't see any actual punches thrown, the guy started to walk in my direction so I decided to move on.

Guy walked into geckos calling everyone "pangit" and general name calling.

You might ask if these gentlemen were wearing masks or filled out a contact tracing form? Take a guess.

The AC of old is back in effect the well behaved locals rush in for happy hour and promptly leave, leaving behind only the belligerent and not so "policy" abiding horde of tourists. Will this result in tighter rules or a loosening of them? Given that my prediction of these mongers not following policy this can go either 1 of 2 ways. But I think giving tourists a hard time is not what they are after. Tourists are literally walking ATMs right now so I suspect they will overlook these policy infractions and let it happen for the time being. Which is great for me seeing as I MOSTLY follow the rules it makes me look like a saint.

Airplane prices just dropped late today from $1600+ and I booked mid March flight for $810 to Manila. Landing around 10:30 pm.

My question? Are there easy transportation at that time to Angeles City from terminal 3?

I rather not stay in Manila for the night.

Not all " Cherry girls " are real cherry. Over the years I have barfined few. Although initial agreement is bar hopping, disco dancing only and sleeping with clothes on only many turned out different. For some bars and girls it is a scam. I've had P400 K case in my room safe. I had a local PH check from a customer which I tool to their home branch. Presented the check and my ID. Carried my standard backpack and rode my motorbike directly to the apartment and locked it into the safe. Told nobody.

The P10 K daily ATM limit is a money grab for bank fees.

Hitting Cebuana or BDO. Electronically remit the money to yourself, and it doesn't hurt to stop by the Cebuana or BDO the day before to inform them that you are withdrawing a large amount the following day. BDO is the best bet since they are a large and (somewhat) networked bank. You can remit to either of those thru Remitly dot com. I find that during the pandemic they accept only your passport as identification. I was rejected several times when I presented my ACR card as ID, and was told by LBC, Cebuana, and BDO that it was not a valid ID (and at other times they accepted it as valid in the exact same locations). I sent p50 k+ several times in the last year. Thought: Hit them for withdrawal in the morning.

3 years ago the cherry girls were going for 50 k plus. Half were chubby. From what I heard most buyers were Japanese. I also heard for the 50 k you could have the cherry girl for all week.

Having not been there since 2019 can anyone answer the following questions:

1. what is the closing time for the bars in Walking Street?

2. what is the popular disco now that High Society has closed?

Hammer is open as a disco but I thought it sucks. Bars open either till 2 am 3 am 5 am and 8 am. The bar that opens till 8 is my fave but has heavy cigarette smoke. Viking opens at 10 am. They have happy hour drink specials.

So after reading threads here and watching some Youtube videos I decided to say fuck it and come check out the scene for myself. Got a reasonably cheap (under $300) ticket from SIN to CRK so from the time I leave my home to hotel in AC will be less than 6 hours total. Booked a room at Central Park Towers 3700 peso per night (after 20% cash discount). Hoping some perimeter bars are open again as well as the regular massage parlors etc. Also trolling FC for some non pros. Its been 3 years since I was last there so still looking forward to it. Anyone else going to be around that time?

Manila is a shit hole right now, I wouldn't waste my time trying to be alive in manila. All of this nonsense is driven by these ever changing alert levels. So as a tourist since you are not rooted to a certain province its in your best interest to move to the province with the lowest possible alert level. It's not about getting "caught" or paying a bribe. At different alert levels they just have different levels of services offered in this country because it is more fun in the Philippines. You are just being fear mongerd by a frustrated company, that is trying to explain nonsense. Manila seems to the be root of all nonsense and thankfully some of that never makes it out of manila. I was unable to find any documentation of a cessation of the visa extension and there is documentation that suggests they in fact have halted OTL orders which actually swings in the other direction Moral of that story is GTFO of manila.

Interesting that the Visa agent would tell me an extension can't be made from the Manila BI yet you received one from Angeles. Can you name the Visa agency? I check the website below and found this at #5 at the bottom:

Foreign nationals from visa-free countries who wish to stay in the Philippines for more than 30 days can either (a) request an extended stay at the Bureau of Immigration upon arrival in the Philippines; or (b) secure an endorsement from the appropriate Philippine national government agency and secure a 9 (a) visa that will allow them to stay for a maximum of 59 days. The endorsing Philippine national agency must submit their entry exemption request directly to DFA-Office of Consular Affairs (OCA).

That pretty much clears up the question if one can extend or not even though the BI in Manila might not be extending.

A similar case could be made for pre-pandemic barfine prices, when you factor in your airline ticket, hotel, and other costs (ie food).

Correct me if I am wrong, but even pre-pandemic, AC barfines were upwards of p3000 for several years (we complained that the Koreans were driving rates up).

Most of the main Walking Street bars were at least 3 k and if they were spotlight or whatever the different titles they had they were at least 3. 5 k pre-pandemic.
