Most hotels only require an ID, nothing else. Some are completely open and you don't even have to stop at the front desk. They will check with you as she is leaving to verify all is well. The hotels need business, they are not going to turn away any pesos. Plenty of decent hotels under 1000 pesos right now.

If some of the girls are now being barfined does that mean hotels are now allowing guests no questions asked? Or do they need the applicable tests and certs? Is this just AC or are other major areas now allowing non resident guests?

I'm just trying to reconcile reports of AC opening with those showing difficulties of having girls in elsewhere.

There are bar girls and hardened bar girls.

I have one mate whom met and married a girl that was working in a bar. She was only in the bar a short time before he met her. She really was quite different to any of the girls we've ever met in bars, she was a misfit in that life. He took her from the bar that day and she never went back. They got married within a year.

Second mate he met his wife in Burgos St bar. He paid the bar to release her. He also had to pay some other foreigner that had her in a weird domestic bond situation.

In both cases the girls were brought to Australia but as of now both of these married couples above have settled in provincial Philippines with families and business interest for the boys while the girls do domestic.

When I was in Zurich I did touch into a large group of Filipinas that live in that country. They seem happy and have a support network of fili activities that has maybe helped them stay settled there. The three I met all came from "Pampamga", coincidence?

I don't get it. Why would one want to domesticate only a bar girl. If you are looking for a partner why not spend some time in the country and try meeting regular girls with regular job. There are plenty of beautiful girls all over Philippines. They would be happy to have a half decent man who could look after her as well as from time to time support her family. Some Philippine girls are also hard working. I know of few people who married Philippines girl and have a family now. Only thing with the culture is the family comes part of the package. Trying to domesticate a bar girl would be a hard job. Specially if the girl never had a regular job where you had to work 8-5. The bar girls get used to different lifestyle and fur them a job is party with customers, drink and then get picked to be taken home.

I had a mate whom was doing regular trips to Ph and / or Thailand for a few years. He would regularly bring a girl back on a three month tourist visa but had no plan or intention of letting them stay. They had a great time and were never happy to leave, even though they went home richer.

In the end he tired of the rigours of the search. This is in contrast to me where I enjoy the search and tired of the mundane.

How easy is it get a 3-month tourist visa for a PH/TH girl these days? Let alone "regular" 3-month visas. The fems behind the counter at the consulate see you coming.

What will be the reaction be of the girl if she gets sent back to her home country again and again with no sign of marriage? Wouldn't she contemplate bolting and going underground? The solution would be to change girl each time, but a fat chance of the fems behind the counter at the consulate rubber-stamping that!

Regardless of if it's a good idea or not and if the rewards outweigh the risks, this actually getting much harder to do. Getting a tourist visa approved is not assured in many countries now.

And that's without the added dramas of Covid
