Agreed: As KG stated Govt's worldwide did the lock downs to slow the spread to keep their healthcare industries from collapsing on their watch, using fear to protect the industry and it has worked brilliantly. They never intended to stop the spread as that is not possible and they know it. Over the next 12 to 24 months virtually everyone will have been exposed as we go back to normal life. Hiding at home will keep it away but at what human cost?

It has been the same way in my girlfriend's town for at least 2 weeks already. They have certain days that one family member can go to the store. The last day they had it, her mom decided to have the groceries delivered instead.

As of yesterday, April 15 local time AC was placed into 24 hour curfew by the orders of the Mayor. The curfew order is thru April 30,2020.

My guess will be until end of May and then on limited relaxation of the lockdown. All the reading I have done says that too early a release of lockdown will result in a second wave.

However that may not be a bad thing, as more people are infected and recovered herd immunity will start to take effect.

I think it will last way past May KG. This article sent to me by GE says what I have been hearing and thinking. Today's COVID 19 cases in the slums / squatter area in Cebu (Zapetero) is proof this is a major problem for the country as the health care system is barely adequate IMHO to cope now let alone with huge numbers many expect especially out in the provinces.

This from CNN despite the Trump and his VP claiming test 'very soon' Just like his claim we have zero or one case and it will go away very soon.

Personally I listen to science and doctors on this not the Trump and his cronies. Fox News did a piece on why the malaria drug was great but look at facts (which it / others never do0 the sample size was fixed to ignore deaths and those in ICU with COVID 19.

There is no herd immunity, this will be over once they find a cure or immunization, maybe some 12 months away due to months of testing needed before allowed to be used on general public.

Although banks, supermarkets, hospitals are open the streets of Angeles city are deserted night and day, ex bargirls / freelancers / online girls have left town for their own province.

Don't expect things to get back to normal in Angeles for many many months.
