Straight out of Mr E's copy book, methinks.

Phil supermarkets have imported chocolates etc, no need to pay western world prices and drag them half way across the world to the Phils.
Since when do I have to impress them. I am the one that improves there lot in life not the other way around. Fact is I find that my life is a lot less happier when I have to drag a girlfriend around everywhere due to there overwhelming jealousy, lock down clinging and child like dependence on me to make all the responsibility decisions for them. They just don; t have much to offer positive besides sex and maybe cooking, cleaning your house, and washing your clothes for you and some of them are not good at doing even those things.

Logically, of course, GE is correct. However, remember that some or maybe even many Pinays are not necessarily bound by Western notions of logic.

For example, I have learned over the years that some Pinays will actually work harder for a 50 peso tip than for a 200 peso tip. Especially if they can actually see the cash. As part of my sexual regimen, I used to have multiple nightly private contests in my hotel room, with tips or cash prizes awarded on the spot to the winners from among several competing young women vying in various different, light-hearted, and often pornographic, games or events. All in good fun and for a good cause.

And chocolates, especially the larger Hershey or Snickers bars, actually seem to disproportionately appeal to many young women, especially in Angeles and in the provinces (where many Pinays are quite "childlike" even up to their late 20's or 30's).

    Go figure!

Probably very sensible advice, but I'm not always sensible and besides it's very tempting to do the choco arbitrage. Every cheaply bought choco bar goes a long way.

They would indeed prefer PHP 1500 to a single tasty chocolate bar. However, I've had more ladies become friendly with benefits and provide even more valuable introductions to others after giving chocolates than with those who were strictly P4 P. My experience however is overwhelmingly in Metro Manila outside of bars, having visited AC only briefly a couple times. I defer to the experience of AC veterans on this thread.

    Interesting late night

Had a late night visit from a massage girl. Has been lots of chat over the past four weeks as I legitimately thought she was a dating prospect. Paid for an hour (P300), she stayed for three hours.

I've had various successes with the wechat massage girls. There really is no quality standard or any way of knowing what to expect.

There are some girls that are 'run ' as a business. For me I've identified them as the ones with templates of massage services and price lists. They will arrive by private motorbike or private trike with the driver (BF?) delivering them to the door of the hotel.

Other girls are just freelancers using it as a way to get clients.

Others are working in pairs as friends.

In all cases it comes down to the synergy between the two consenting adults on the bed.

I have not had any good services with the 'agency' services.

Buy a 15" x 15" x 15" cardboard box and packing tape at National Book Store and tape her shut. The chocolates!

I got to tell you I've been checking that area out for the last few years. Never seen anything worth while. And if I'm right (maybe not anymore) you could still walk in or drive in that motel if we're talking about the same place. At least you could before.

The place I'm talking about is on the left going up the street from Johnnys on the Fields side of McArthur. If not sorry. It's a dump anyway.

I'd still like to know where area 51 is located!

I have no problem with the "overtippers" (my view is that they serve to increase the supply by the allure of easy money) but I tend to stick to lowest attainable market rates myself, and tip OK when service is good. In my experience Filipinas often value "care" more than money. A small item brought especially for them, their favorit choco. Whatever.
