I seriously doubt any of the US Military will have shore leave let alone be allowed to go to girlie bars. US will not risk the embarrassment of drunken men and women on leave to torpedo the new agreements. There has not been any shore leave to bars since the navy man killing the trans about 7 years ago.

Last month on my flight from Guam to Manila there were quite a few navy personnel on the flight within 3 rows of me going to Subic. I offered to buy them a drink and all responded their orders clearly stated "No Alcohol " on the trip at all. Also when they landed in Manila they were to wait at the airport for the military transport directly to Subic.

My point remains valid. They won't improve the scene for the average Westerner. They either won't change anything or if they do they'll only introduce competition.

They can have liberty, but they are restricted from those places and activities. It is not the military of years gone by. It used to be the first place we would go was the place they told us not to go. These days they mean it.

My cousin's boat stopped in Rio and they could not even partake of the great delicacies the place has to offer. Comedian Eddie Griffin said the reason most people go into the military is to get exotic pussy. Unfortunately that option has been pretty much taken off the table.

A couple of years ago here in Thailand the US Military was in town. An incident happened and a buddy of mine was called on in the middle of the night to go translate. An 18 year old Marine had met a chick online. Him and his buddy hooked up with her and her friend. Just so happened the girl was the 16 year old daughter of a Thai Navy commander. The guy wanted $75,000 to make it go away. Of course the US government had to front the money and the young guy that probably only makes $2,000 per month will be on the hook to pay it back. They are trying to avoid situations like that and the ones in the pictures.

Korean bars are usually cleaner, more modern sofas etc, smoking allowed, peanuts / popcorn with drink, quicker to get served a drink and the CR has hand dryers not a towel that is older than the mamasan.

Negative points are most girls seem to favour Koreans, and they favour a male MC shouting over the music and the sound of a bull horn every 3 minutes.

I've always felt welcome but have seldom BF form one.

US military will only improve it for those who are already able to enjoy it as it is now. If one isn't even able to compete with beta East Asians then they're not going to be able to compete with young fit soldiers in their 20's.

I still have a month and a few days left before I go there, and it's nice to read occasionally that you can have a good time in those lands.

I wouldn't give up on Angeles just yet. The US military is coming back in a big way and I'm sure this will help. Has Western traffic dropped off some especially from US, yes it it has. The ticket prices pushing $3000 roundtrip has put a damper on some visiting, myself included. This will in time calm down as most won't pay that just to get there. Even now if you look out August or September you can see prices half that. The real beauties may use the internet a bit more but face to face is always better, for them and you. Makati in Manila seems to be opening new bars, old Ringside as example this week. Someone sees business getting better at least by their investments. Give it time, Angeles will be fine too and return to normal eventually.

This should not be a surprise to anyone. Same story in places like Pattaya. The reasons are obvious:

1) As economies advance quickly, alternative more socially acceptable and safer employment becomes readily available.

2) COVID taught the more attractive professional ladies that they can earn big money online from their own homes.

3) Those who still bar work are attractive will gravitate to the big tourist trap bars where there is far bigger easy money all round. This leaves the smaller bars struggling to survive.

I wouldn't give up on Angeles just yet. The US military is coming back in a big way and I'm sure this will help. Has Western traffic dropped off some especially from US, yes it it has. Thanks for the encouragement. I was in kind of a bad mood when I wrote that due to lack of sleep. To clarify I think The Philippines is awesome and I've traveled all around the country and enjoyed myself. I just tend to get lazy and complain when I spend time in Angeles. But it's the easiest place to get girls in the Philippines, so I will be back, maybe for two months next year. A longer stay would be different because I can't sustain this level of spending.

Quick update on the Bunny girl that was stuck in my head. I figured she wouldn't go with me but I'm glad I tried. I used to be shy but I've learned you have to be decisive in bars like that and ask for what you want. Either she just doesn't go with foreigners, or she was creeped out by me ogling her when I was with my previous girl. Can't say I blame her. One of the reasons that a bg may not barfine with you that night is that she has a scheduled day off the next day with plans. Most bars have a rule if the bg does a barfine then she has to come to work the next day whether or not it is a scheduled day off. There is a heavy penalty if she doesn't come to work the next day. It might be lost of salary and or commissions. This rule with the penalties are to prevent the bg from doing "sneak outs" on her day off. Some bg may have a lackluster day at the bar because they were BF the night before and they just want to get through the mandatory work day.

I have had girls tell me that before and experienced it a few times when I wanted to BF a girl.

As far as Pattaya, yes not as good as years gone past, but the sheer size of it, the high number of bars, the thousands of available bargirls, freelancers compared to Angeles city has it far far in front in girl choice and fun factor IMHO.

I'm writing this for guys like me that are contemplating a two week vacation and trying to decide if Angeles City is worth the long flight. In short I say yes, go for it and book that trip. I'd consider this a successful trip and I will return. I banged 10 attractive ladies over my 14 days, a slow pace that gave me time to rest and recuperate since I don't like going out every night or during the day.

The City.

The Philippines is poor, and the is reflected in this place. The town is run-down, it's inferno-hot outside, and there's nothing to do during the day besides bars, which I'm not into during daytime. Being constantly pestered by the viagra / cialis / vallium / morphine guys annoys me to no end and puts me in a bad mood. Old homeless ladies in sexy dresses try to sell me massages. Trike drivers shout when I walk by. I get into the mode here of looking straight ahead and avoiding eye contact. I'm not interested in constantly engaging with these people.

The Accommodations.

There's not much in the way of nice, modern hotels here. The One Euphoria Airbnb seemed like a good idea. It's nice and modern. However, it's a tiny studio so it feels like a hotel room. Worst of all cleaning is not included and is expensive. It's nice not being forced to leave the room for cleaning, but it's better to have the room cleaned every couple days by a Hotel. The super-fast internet, big screen and Netflix is great. In the future it would be nice to have a little sofa or reading chair instead of just a little desk since I'm sitting around the room all day reading because there's no where better to go.
