I was in Angeles City a couple months before the pandemic hit. I thought that I remembered the prices being about 1,500 and now I'm reading that the prices are 5,000? Am I wrong about the prices being 1,500? Are the prices really 5,000 in Angeles City?

$1500 and $5000 US Dollars per month? Or alternately, p1500 and p5000 per night? Prices for accommodations (hotels)? Prices for bar-fines? Street Walkers?

Hotels in Phils are of worse quality for the same amount of money than those of Thailand.

2 weeks ago I checked about 25 hotels, everything that's within walking distance to fields ave, I was lightly drunk, at the time seemed that I will remember everything, but right now is all a big blank.

I remember the walk around hotel as being ok, venus, kandi, and the rest is just a fuzzy memory. Venus and kandi seems too expensive for long term. At walk around I saw the poolside room only, which is cheaper than the other 2, but still $1000/ mo. I would imagine there are other cheaper, clean places. $1000/ mo seems a bit excessive for philippines, around $500/ mo is what I'm looking for.

I booked a room at a hotel named modern suites for 1 night for $20, just to check it out, but it was a hoax, the hotel doesn't exist, there is a construction site there.

It doesn't have to be a hotel, but just wandering aimlessly on the streets, that's all there is to see. A place with a separate bedroom would be nice, where should I look for it?

I will be in Angeles the end of March. I haven't been there in 15 years. At that time, all bars were western friendly. To the best of my knowledge there were no Korean only bars at that time.

Well its a few days before Christmas and in to peak season so how are the bars doing?

After a couple of barhops over the last few days it seems that most of the favourite western owned walking st bars are really struggling to attract both punters and girls numbers, many bars having no customers at all, most busy bar among western bars was lollipop bar, this bar tends to get a few regular expats in, the girls tend to be hands on which they like but the girl quality is low.

On to Atlantis bar, I was the only non Korean in there, girl numbers were well down on last visit as many of the better looking girls have headed to their home province for Christmas and new year with their kids and family, the story was much the same in all the other big walking st gogo bars.

Street freelancers, where once there was quite a big scene of street girls they seem to be in small numbers now replaced by multiple tall butch men in dresses, if one likes such then plenty to be found on all st corners leading up to walking st, for those that can't tell or don't like such then ask 1st before being shocked back at the room.

In summing up, the town is very quiet, its mostly younger Korean punters, they outnumber westerners many times, girls numbers down, drinks only girls in many bars, its not easy to get laid as a westerner if one has standards.

Don't compare AC with Pattaya. A few Perimeter and Raymond St bars have onsite rooms but they are dirty, small and don't even have running water. AC is compact. Everything is a few hundred meters around Walking Street. Get a convenient hotel and take the girl back for a much more relaxed session to your hotel.

Wasn't so much comparing the two places, but rather found the reference to soi 6 to best summarize what I was looking for. I know Pattaya well, but AC less so (I've only been a dozen times, and not in the last 5 years).

Dirty and small bars, I'm actually OK with that. It conveniently matches the kind of women I like.
