It's been a few days with the new higher rates.

My girl is telling me many complaints from customers about the higher rates. Girls are even complaining as they are not getting barfines like before. Girls did not even know about the rates till a day or two before nor did they have any input in the matter.

These new rates might not last.

BTW, told to me the girls share of the 4 k BF was 1850. Now the share of 5 k BF is 2250. Kind of crazy to lower the waitress barfine from 3500 to 3000. Heard some waitresses are reluctant to go for 3 k.

Well I've seen some black 5 k girls who are in no way worth 5 k, they were definately not top tier talent. Maybe the 5 k price is their way of not getting barfined. I did see a girl from Shooters who I barfined for 4 k who's now working over at Lucifers now asking for 5 k. Again maybe to keep guys from taking her. Now the last argument was girls in white or red bikinis were 3500, girls in black were 4000. Now all of the dancers are wearing green arm bands so we can quit that bikini color argument.

Yes the girls are getting less barfines, its September and airfare is $1,800. Few US tourists here right now. Plenty of Koreans with their $200 flights but the Koreans are getting girls nobody has seen dancing in the bars (this from a buddy who's living in La Grande). My guess is the Korean app is now letting the girls go directly to the Koreans and skip the bars entirely.

On a side subject I bought a waitress a drink and she said she hated working in the bar. Said she's starting her own business so I asked what kind of business. She couldn't explain the business but said something like its a travel discount program and if you sign up to their program she gets $100 usd. Now I had to explain to her that if she got $100 usd then the guy running the business has to get a bigger chunk of money. Then tried to explain that as a foreigner I wouldn't be giving any large chunks of money away like that. The twist was some foreigner from the US gave her the gcash to send in the money. My bet is he just sent it back to himself. So she has the feeling the business is legit. What a strange business concept they have here in the Philippines.

Post-covid the bars continue to make changes to the system. Pre-covid the girl's share in most bars was 50%. Since covid, bars are lowering the girl's amount towards 45%, and they will probably experiment towards 40%. The only good news for the girls is that the barfine amount is now higher. Pre-covid she was getting 50% of 2000 (p1000 to the girl) to 3000 (1500 to the girl). She is now getting p1850 or more (good for the girl, even better for the bar). As Koreans continue to increase their market share of the customers, don't be surprised if owners continue to experiment.

Update. The waitress share of 3000 barfine is 1300. Reported to me that many customers are trying to BF the waitresses for the lowered rate of 3000. One girl told me a customer was ready to BF her and then backed out when he heard 5 k.

I think I'm finally going to bite the bullet and give PI a try. Are the girls in Makati really that much prettier than the ones in AC? What really is the going rate for a young top looking girl by someone who knows how to negotiate (I'm looking at you Mr E, Goferring, WC). I don't know how much a meal deal at Jollibee is!

Depending on the store location, a Jollibee Chicken Joy Meal can be had for less than 150 Php.

A top negotiator would get the job done for a Chicken Joy Meal.

Yes, the girls in Manila are more sophisticated than the girls in AC. Their english is better. And yes they are less likely to be working girls. But whether they are working or not, you will end up spending more money on them than if you go to AC. The hottest and most sophisticated and well spoken philippina I've ever met was from AC. But that was an exception. If I ever retire in PH it will probably be in Manila with AC weekend trips. But, there's a reason I've decided to skip Manila on my recent trips. AC is fun and there are plenty of options, for free, or if not, at a reasonable price, for their time of course.

Totally agree. I've yet to see a positive correlation between price and performance but regardless, it's the end result that matters. I've had great sessions that required a second mortgage and others that cost little more than a Jolliebee Meal Deal. Actually the latter is the more common. 😊.

Concur. The issue is a tempest in a teacup. Even if you are paying too much, or alternately, less than expected / normal (whatever that might be), judge the success of the event in its outcome. If the price (or other factors, such as looks / attractiveness / youth) bother you, try Thailand or DR. You might end up feeling better about a different place, and further you leave the pina-puki to Mr E and myself.

I am American myself, and agree that the weekend warriors from the USA or passport brothers are the worst in this regard (overpaying) and ruin the markets. Thank god I know the going rates, and will not pay more even if I can afford it.

Just be careful in Central and South America. I stopped hanging out in those places. If you try to haggle and they accept lower than market prices chances are you will be robbed. 9 out of 10, the hotel staff are in on it and there is nothing you can do about it. I find the Philippines is one of the safest areas to monger other than you own backyard (city). Where else can you barfine a female complain to bar staff if she doesn't stay the agreed upon time and quite possibly receive a refund? I've had that experience. Cuba, Jamaica, DR, and Nicaragua have been safe and cheep bets for me!

Agreed. Its all in perception. I usually pay 4 k or 5 k all night and 9 times out of 10 its usually GFE. Mostly bar girls or others, it varies. These are very cute girls in their early 20's,my preference. I've paid a bit more but not 10 k yet. But even so paying 10 k would not break the bank. If I tried that here in US with prostitutes or bar girl same age and quality, hey baby give you 10 k if your friendly and pat you on your bottom when you leave my room in the morning. I am in the 4-5 k range. There are times higher but not the norm. The equation is simple, make $$$ and spend pesos.

Some will be happy to pay the new prices and some won't be happy to pay. I don't like the new prices but will adjust accordingly. End of the day it won't make any difference to my bank account. Just to my psyche. Sooner I get over it the better.

I don't have a response about the Koreans or Japanese as I don't know how they think.
