The situation is rather grim. Pretty girls can be found, but it takes a lot of looking. Last night I visited Baccara (formerly The Bunker), Genesis, Pirate (formerly Viking), Bad Boy, Body Shop and Las Vegas and I would only, after careful consideration and deliberation, consider taking two girls from Baccara. None of those bars were fun and I bailed after half a beer in each. Masquerade was fun and had good energy, but ugly girls. There was one pretty in Shooters.

I hate to conflate ugly with old, but many of the girls look like they are pushing 40, and some more. I haven't seen any chubby girls. They all have slim spinner bodies but old faces. Now I'm no spring chicken myself and older ladies can look nice, but not when they try to doll themselves up like 20 year olds. Most bars are primarily stocked with ugly girls. I don't think this has really changed from the past, as the bars are just a cross-section of humanity. It's like going to the post office or DMV; most people are butt-ugly, but then you randomly see a hot young girl. Some bars do a better job of stocking more pretty girls. Skyfall has some lookers, and some were sort of smiling at me. It's a Korean-style place where the girls wear dresses and the barfine is an astronomical 5,000 PHP. Some bars are for fun and partying, but bars like Skyfall, Bunny, Soya, etc are best treated as straight-up brothels. Pick a girl, buy one drink, quickly establish if she will go with you, and take her out.

So far the most I've paid for barfine is 4,500, but all the girls have stayed LT. I actually wish there was a ST option for half the price, because if you take a hot young girl early it's going to be more transactional than GFE, and I find it sort of awkward to be stuck with a girl like that all evening.

This can happen to the best of us from time to time, I have had it happen to me a few times over the years, there is no 100% way to combat it, but I do suggest to dramatically reduce the odds is to be very upfront about your asks before buying a lady-drink or committing to pay money (such as barfine), or a technique that I find works well for somewhere new if I don't have that much time to hand; is to buy the mamasan a drink (or give a tip), tell her what you want and she will usually be happy to supply you with what you are looking for within reason as well as give you the lowdown on prices, types of service and so on.

I think you will find that most all angeles walking st bars allow their better looking girls to bait and switch, girl tells punter what he wants to hear in the bar in order to rack up many high priced and high commision lady drinks only to not barfine at all, I,many others and most recently member A traveller a couple of posts ago have all reported of such, obviously choosing the type of bargirl that neither has the youth, looks or body to attract lady drinks of course would be good to go barfine straight away due to no other choices to earn money, again this type of bargirl is more likely to stay long time as apposed to the type of girls that can secure multiple short times each night by running and heading back to her bar for next punter.

In summing up, bars and bargirls are in the business of looking after their own pockets and do what is most profitable for them for obvious reasons, some are drinks only girls (the top girls) some are short time only girls, many are asian only girls and some girls (not popular girls) are happy to stay long time.

You are right. Places on Walking Street like Lollipop are high end compared to Perimeter Bars. Yes you can get the Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, etc at 5000 PHP bar fine compared to some Perimeter places that are 2500 PHP bar fine but there are a few gems that are not high in number and you may have to visit a few places to find her. Lady drinks are cheaper as well as regular drinks. If one have time to explore it can pay off and yes it will take a Trike ride at around 100 PHP from the end of Walking Street. Lollipop is definitely a nice place. It's amusing to watch the Koreans throw stacks of 20 peso bills in the air for the ladies or purchase the balls to throw on stage. Just ask the clerk and they'll sell by the pill. I don't remember many convenience stores on the main section of fields so shouldn't be hard to find.

Try the small mom and pop drug stores a few blocks or so away from Fields Avenue.

Going through an exit clearance now, guessing it's easier doing it in Angeles but it's still a pain. Number one thing I dislike is leaving my passport with them for three days. Then there's the time wasted, getting 4 photos made at the kiosk next to immigration and photocopies of everything. Was cheap but the whole process seems like a money grab. I can see why guys either travel before 6 months or wait the three years before they have to leave the country. Adding up the fees, trikes to and from and it's 1000 pesos. Three days to complete and they recommend it be done two weeks before your departure. From what I've heard only the main immigration office do these. And Angeles. So what do you do if you don't live near one? Stay at a hotel in a big city until it's done then go home or wait and fly out? Add this to the process and I can see why guys are leaving the country before 6 months. Nothing like getting fingerprinted and your photo taken to spend your morning. If you've never gotten biometrics done you have to show up, can't how an agent.

But they sure are more friendly than Thailand.

I continued my boots on the ground research. I walked all the way down to the Perimeter bars. Only about five remain, and they are all terrible. Gone is Det 5, which was packed full of 18,19, 20 year old cuties five years ago. There was one girl that was kind of cute in XXX who I chatted with for a while. I talked to a slightly older cute waitress too about barfines. On walking street there is only one option, but here there is a price for ST and LT, I think 3000 or 3500.
