It's not such a crazy idea. US Military presence is starting to make a comeback in Luzon. If Western mongers vote with their feet I can see Subic as an alternative to Angeles. Smaller but more Western friendly.

Ya I wasn't joking about that. I would like to make my first Subic visit this year. An influx of westerners there could cause a draw there of provincial ladies. Would the Koreanos also follow?

Well I am not a reports kinda guy, but I can yolo. I am here now in AC, haven't been here since 2016, didn't like the way things were going then, so I got out, don't like it now either. But what I am looking for is probably entirely different than what most others are looking for, maybe I am not normal. If I was say (this is just me) under 50 years of age, had only a couple weeks to yolo not a huge bank account, had moderate to little game, enjoyed both quality over quantity AND quantity over quality, wanted someplace relatively safe, got tired of the whole mechanical thing, enjoyed your commands being obeyed, english was my only spoken language, want to also have decent conversation with the girls, enjoyed shootin' fish in a barrel, then yes, YES this is still a great place / value.

I can see, from that perspective, why the gents would give it a pass. You want to know in advance what the 'norm' is, but when there are two different norms, its hard to grasp or bother with it.

I'd certainly agree with the two ACs concept. Some guys turn up and have a great time (admittedly at 5000 a pop). Others either don't barfine at all or have a miserable time. Despite the amount of abuse hurled between the two camps, in terms of satisfying their priorities, both are right.

Personally, I haven't been persuaded not to return as I go to the bars to meet up with other guys, have a perve and a drink but very rarely to actually barfine. I use numerous other ways to get laid in town and I generally get bored after a few days and move on. Suits me well but I understand that YMMV for others.

I don't think its exaggerated. I disagree with the extent of what NS has said, but I think much of what he says is based in reality. Back when you were going to AC, there were few K bars. Things have since changed. One of the basic changes is that while an AC gogo girl costs half the amount of a Burgos gogo gal, you are likely to get her for ST (hence, half the fun); meaning its the same value. Best to check with the girl / mama before the barfine on her departure time. Some bars now have a divided BF system; example p4000 for ST and 5000 LT.

I was trying to warn everyone about AC last summer so it's gratifying to see all these reports confirming my take-away. I wonder what is animating these die-hard AC Boosters other than sheer stubbornness and male reactive tendencies? It's so much easier to get laid in Thailand- not even a contest. No way in hell I'd ever go back to AC other than out of morbid curiosity on my way through Luzon.

At 39 you should have no problem in Angeles or anywhere in the Philippines. Consider most of the info on here relevant to a 60+, penny watching mongerer. If you're younger and only there for a week and not willing to let a 1000-2000 peso price change ruin your week then you will do fine. It is true about Koreans going to bar fine very early and on the weekend there may be no decent ones by the evening. Go earlier, agree an all day / night barfine and tip and I'm sure you'll do fine.

Its very sad but I'm also passing on my planned trip to AC this year. Better to go to the dark continent. I get there what I want much better and cheaper and its a stonethrow from Europe. So no need for this long, expensive flight to PH.

Well I've moved around a bit while living here in the Philippines. From Cebu up to Manila and finally Angeles city. For those on vacation sure there are better options than Angeles. More girls in Manila for sure. But for the number of regular bars with good drink prices, good food and some nice looking women Angeles is a great place to live. Easy to get girls from dating apps, from some of the bars and once they know your a local are easy to hook up with. Prices for freelance is around half what I was paying in Thailand. You just have to take what is given, go with the flow. I would suggest asking if the girl goes with westerners before even offering a drink. All girls I've taken from bars only want short time. They might agree to stay longer if their friends are bar fined with them? Maybe that's how the Koreans have greater success at keeping them all night.

Yes indeed the major problem for Angeles visitors is that even if one is just a little bit fussy one has to bar hop multiple bars to find even an average looking girl, there is a definite severe shortage of attractive slim girls, once one has spotted the girl he likes one has the mammoth task of getting the princesses attention in the 1st place, why, because her attention is fully on the younger, high spending Koreans, many, many girls are drinks only girls, many many are Korean only girls, many many are cherrie girls, that leaves a very small if at all selection of available girls for mr westerner.

It is what it is, one can either greatly lower ones girl expectations or find another mongering destination where the girls are younger, prettier and don't only look to fuck with certain nationalities.

Some will have us believe that all is Rosie in Angeles, there is bar girl for every taste they will tell us, how they know what my taste is or anyone else's taste in women is mind blowing, just because one finds his type of girl does not mean anyone else would find her attractive.

Was out on the town several times over the last couple of weeks, this town is 99% Koreans, they spend the big money, they have the few better looking girls that will actually barfine on their arm, I look at some of the westerners out at breakfast in the mornings with their girl from last night and all I can say is that many many are having to lower their girl choice to very low levels in order to get laid.

Was in Thailand for songkran celebrations for couple of days, must say the general quality of Thai girls is high, one just needs to pop into terminal 21 mall in Bangkok and its like walking into a fashion shoot, no way of telling if some of these girls sold their pussy by the hour but for anyone who has the time to invest in a quality girlfriend then many to be found here.

I go to Angeles every week and cannot argue with one thing said here. Also have found that more than half of those slim, hot girls are terrible once you get them back to your room. As for finding a smoking hot girl that is incredible in the bedroom, well the odds are slightly better than finding the unicorn farm. And yes the Koreans have taken over Angeles. Many bars are Korean only and some of them have different bar fine prices for OTK (Other than Korean) customers. If you ever saw Born in East LA you will find the connection to the OTK acronym.

99% of the ones in AC are rude and obnoxious also. They think they are better than anyone else on earth. Not just the Westerners either, this also goes for the Japanese, Chinese, or any other Asian race. They even have their own Korean task Force Police in AC. I saw a party of 8 of them one night at the the B & B Grill. 4 Korean men with 4 Filipinas. They all ate and drank then when they left they pulled all of their chairs out and left them in the aisle so anyone needing to get to the restroom would have to move them to get by. They left 4 small coins as a tip to the server who had made several trips to their table for about an hour.

Very few Koreans in Subic and they don't own any bars there but the selection of girls is much smaller. As for cheap mongering it is pretty much non existent anymore. Still a lot cheaper here than the western world but by the time you include travel costs Colombia and Costa Rica basically costs the same unless you plan to stay for several months. As for flying 20-30 hours to spend 2 weeks in the PH then doing the same to get back home it's no longer a good return on your investment for the pussy to dollar ratio.

I guess the only good thing is that their mediocre San Miguel Beer Brewery isn't owned by Anheuser Busch.
