Thanks for that. Yes, I've been to Davao / Samal several times and have always enjoyed them. CDO and Gensan also have come with good reputations and online research of Ozamis shows some willing and gorgeous girls. Of course, reality is sometimes different once boots on the ground but we'll see.

I'm still undecided about turning west or south after CDO but I'll make that decision when I'm there.

    Cheers. G.

Obviously, any residents who would like to meet over a beer and swap stories, just PM me.

I would say CDO, Davao are the best But I picked up girls or chatmates in Gen San at tuna park and the Plaza in the evening hours. Many years ago CDO had night cafe where they closed the downtown city streets on Friday and Saturday nights, and had live bands and food and drink vendors. It was very nice but the new mayor closed it down Why I have no idea. Iligan has some nice waterfalls and Butuan a good museum.

I would say the best Mindanao city is Davao. Peoples Park is a nice place to stroll any time of day and chat up the girls that come there to walk or jog or hang out. Malls are exceptionally nice. I like ecoland SM myself but there are many others. Its probably the cleanest city and safest because Duterte was Mayor years ago and ruled with an iron fist. I believe his son is the nayor now there and his daughter was mayor after her pappa got the be Presedent. Have fun and I know you will.

I've found Philippines Red Cat to be handy on a couple of occasions Pez. Then again, the helpful hints from guys on forums like this are great too. It's also good to know you can get very recent info and opinions, especially when travelling to, or are in places in The Philippines you haven't been to before_ Phil.

Hi Mike. Unsure. But let us know how you went. Always looking for new places to check out after getting the business out of the way in Manila. Cheers Phil.

Hi G and thanks for the feedback.

No I was referring to the bar at the front of Big Apple in the alley. They refer to as a cafe. For some reason. I don't think they do coffee judging by the pole beside the bar.

They ask for lady drinks, but it's obviously not that sort of place. Just a regular bar from the look of things on my last visit. Was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with any of the girls in there.

The things I get myself into. . .

Getting out of the city can be a net gain. Picture time once again. Enjoy.

For some strange reason I think they refer to it as a cafe. The pole by the bar suggests otherwise.

On one previous visit for a beer towards the end of the bar alley, the manager seemed like a *****, but the girls looked nice.

Enjoy your stay but I'm afraid Sabang saw it's best days years ago.

    Sabang

    Hi all,

Heading back to Sabang soon, only because it's fairly easy to get to from Manila and near some water.

Just wondering if anyone's been there recently and what the scene's like now?

It's over a year since my last visit.

Also wondering if anyone's had any luck with any of the girls in the bar out the front of The Big Apple?

On one previous visit for a beer towards the end of the bar alley, the manager seemed like a *****, but the girls looked nice.

They tried to hit me up for lady drinks at the time but there was never any mention of 'extras'.

    Thanks in advance Phil.

The main complex is located on the mountain side of the road, and across the road are the beach rooms. I do prefer the beach rooms over the main rooms mostly because there is a bar and dining area just outside of the rooms. "Close" is relative, but for me, no its not close to the action. Orchid is located on / in baloy beach while the action is on the main road in barretto. Yes it is close as you can easily walk it, but I always trike it, so it is not close for me. Not exactly sure you would want to be walking that trek in the dark anyway. More middle of the action would probably central park (never stayed there, but I have heard about it).
    Thanks so much Transporter.

I really appreciate the advice offered in this forum.

I'll check out some other options but they seem limited when I'll be travelling.

I've done many places in the Philippines but the only time I stayed in Subic was in the Freeport Zone with work years ago.

I'll be staying at the Wild Orchid in Angeles later this year for a few nights between work commitments.

    Phil.

I've stayed at the Angeles property and have never had a problem, but most of the reviews I've read about the Subic hotel aren't great.
I assume it's relatively close to the action and it's also under different management than the Angeles hotel by the same name.
There just doesn't seem to be many other options in town when I plan to stop by.
    Thanks in advance.Phil.
