Some truly riveting discussion here on exchange rates. Meanwhile, just a reminder that there are bars here where you can exchange your pesos for boom boom, some have quite a few lookers, you can buy a drink for one you like for 350 PHP, and use that time to figure out if she likes you and ask her to go out with you, which will cost 4,000 to 5,000 PHP.
There are more pretty girls than I can handle. After a month here I will focus on three that I like, and that act like they like me: a 21 year old cutie from Leyte in Skyfall, a 22 year old beauty from Mindanao in Avalon, and a really pretty slim 30 year old from Tacloban in Lollipop.

Posts: 16Phone number for grand central hotel
Hi folks. Thanks for the inputs on my earlier query on mid week action. I have booked a stay for a couple of days at the grand central hotel but am having some issues related to my booking thru a third party website. I am trying to reach the hotel on the number that I got during the booking but am unable to get thru. I have also done a search online for the contact number for this hotel but none of them seem to work. A long shot here. Reaching out to see if anyone here may have the correct hotel phone number to share. Don't want to end up arriving there only to find out they don't have a room for me. Thanks!

A friend today, April 10 exchanged USD at Normas for 56.10. Heck of a good rate. Prime rate was 56.23. Other money exchangers were at 55.80.
Also noted Genesis 7 am bus from NAIA T3 to SM Clark took 90 minutes.

Now there is a sign that says Zeus Bar. But the large sign that says Camelot on top is still there.
At 5 pm today, talent was marginal. But I like the remodel.

I like to use words like "around", "about", "several", "few". My memory is not computer-like no more! And I like to be factually correct in my writings.
Here's the backstory on Camelot. Several / many years ago, the bar was raided. There was an under-aged girl working there. The mamasan was arrested, and she spent many years in jail. The American owner skipped town. Camelot was closed for many years. Another low-life American skipped out on his bills. This is at least the 2nd American that got scared, and skipped town without paying his bills. At least the Koreans pay the bribe, and re-opened quickly.
But in defense of the Americans, the cost would have been large. Since the girl was under-aged, I'm guessing the bribe would have been huge. Also, the owner simply cannot terminate his permanent staff without cost. His permanent employees will be people like the doorman, bartenders, cashiers, and cooks. Waitresses (who are paid below minimum wage) and bargirls are normally not permanent employees. Permanent employees pay into SSS (the Philippine Social Security).
I heard of a bar owner that had to pay one of his permanent employee 50 K pesos because he fired him incorrectly. But on the other side, an employee cannot quit without notice. He has to give a 4 week notice; if he doesn't, the owner can sue him for economic damage.
