I'm heading back to the UK as of tomorrow, then probably back to work early.

Crazy last few days in AC and I'm worn out with the Philippines.

Will write a full report when I have my head together again.

One thing is clear I need to be a little more. Systematic and plan further ahead when it comes to future mongering trips.

but it is more expensive to travel now. Covid tests and travel insurance are higher, plus there is some uncertainty as to changing rules.

All of this taking into account, I'm still glad I am here in Ph.
I had booked a flight on Jetstar out of Perth ($A850) then 2 weeks ago they cancelled the Singapore leg. At the time Singapore airlines was around A $1000. I booked Philippine airlines out of Melbourne for A $1000. Its more convenient as I can do Covid test at the airport.

    From the article:

US airlines are once again grappling with the pilot shortage as travel demand skyrockets.

Regional carrier Republic Airways is considering reducing training requirements from 1,500 to 750 hours.

Senator Lindsay Graham reportedly could propose legislation that would increase the mandatory pilot retirement age from 65 to 67.

My flight to Cartagena, Colombia cost me $360 on American from Cleveland round trip. Now it is double that.

I didn't check since sometime but right now I can find flights from France to Cebu for 800/900€ (long flights) or to Manila for 600/700€ and durations 20 to 26 hrs which can be acceptable.

I checked for flights in next September, and this sound quite good surprise, almost same conditions as before covid!

Things are coming back close to normal regarding flights from Europe.

There are (or at least used to be pre-pandemic) lots of Korean golfers who go to AC. I'm sure they often hit the 19th hole, but they sure bring their clubs as well.

Why would I care if someone knows I'm in AC? Those on a need to know basis are being fed the right coordinates, I never get any comments. Those that seem most concerned are actually the pinays, worried that I'm fucking too many grotty AC skanks (thus running out of cash for the country tour).

Been doing it for 10 years. Brought the Au wife a few times. Quite plausible depending on which hotels are used.

All my research has indicated that those places are going to be condom required (and I speak excellent spanish). I have zero interest in that. So, PH will be my destination for the future, and maybe I retire there. I love it.

Ditto (in addition to having some meetings of a non-sexual nature). Perhaps it's partly nostalgia and partly some wishful thinking that AC somehow would swing back to something resembling its former glory (which, realistically, won't happen). Provincial pussy can be unpredictable, but often passionately rewarding. YMMV. Yes.

I'm going the other way and would love to try the chicas but not for '000's in flights, 87 stopovers and 4 days of jetlag.

I've made no secret of my distain for AC but something keeps drawing me back for a couple of days as part of a wider tour. It stands up to no logical nor financial justification but, then again, what women ever have.

I do limit my time though as 1/ the place does my head if more than a few days and 2/ Cheap Charlie me much prefers 5000 per week provincial honeys than 5000 per day burnt out single moms.

    As usual YMMV.

    Enjoy. G.
