This country is trying to kill me. So many things have gone wrong in the past two weeks (including getting sick several days) and now Clark is shut down and my airline rings busy. Seems I'm going to miss my flight out tomorrow morning. Can't even get an update, such as if my flight will be re-routed out of Manila.

The Philippines is third world SHIT on a good day.

On a serious note, I've stopped visiting in the week between Christmas and New Year due to the frequency of being trapped by typhoons, earthquakes and general Acts of God.

The girl I was talking to grabbed my hand and dragged me outside. Outside was even more frightening with the power lines shaking. I genuinely thought I was going to be the sole idiot that died that day because of some freak accident. Glad to hear how life is business as usual there.
