It is my understanding that visiting tourists who stay in Philippines for less than a year do not have to pay. In the past I had bought tickets for myself and my then Filipina GF out of Manila; had to pay the extra travel tax only for her.

I think it's a stay of 6 months or more. I have to pay it every time I leave the country, but then so do Filipinos.

If you are in AC then you will know it is difficult to get small change back from stores and restaurants.

I have solved the problems. ABC front desk stocks quite a bit of P20, P50, P100, P500 and P1000 notes. I get a stack of p50's and P100's at a time. Like P3000 at a time. Saves on a lot of frustration.

I take major international airlines from Manila so that airport tax is already included. When I was in the immigration line when departing they were directing some passengers to another window I believe to pay the tax. Obviously some airlines ticket does not include airport tax. Last time I travelled domestic round trip from Manila to cebu on Air Asia. I did not have to pay anything at both airports.

I would check with the airline.

I ran in to an 8.5+ that I have known for 7 years. She is 26 now with 2 kids. Still one of the greatest bodies around and might I add a tight kitty. We had a great time catching up. So much so that I will be taking her to Boracay tomorrow for 3 days. Direct flights from Clark to Boracay are available now for $60 one way. Great Boracay hotels for under $100 a night.

My 3 nights Boracay vacation is coming to an end. Flight tomorrow to Manila for 2 nights and then home. My friend is flying to Manila with me and the will take the Genesis bus back to AC. She asked me if I would want her 20 year old friend to come stay with me? Wtf! After seeing her picture I said heck yes! 20 yo was shy and wanted my friend to stay the night too. Friend was ok with that. They will ride the bus back together.

I have another girl coming from AC for my final night and she will catch the bus back in the morning. My flight is out of terminal 3 so it works out good. BTW, I am staying at Savoy Hotel across from Terminal 3.

AC is all what you make of it.

AC is shit. Some love it. Some hate it.

G and DG make some good points. I still like AC but then again I also like Manila, Cebu, Subic, Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Hanoi, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Have visited all these and more (as I know many of you have). Hell, I lived in AC back in the heydeys of 82 to 84. Now I live outside of Dumaguete so it is easy to go to all of these places. The thing about Angeles it is very easy to get quality pussy and not expensive if you are coming from any Western or predominantly English-speaking country. And Filipina girls are so sweet -- well, the vast majority. I am retired here and it is one of the best decisions I ever made with the shit show going on in the USA and most other places. No place is perfect but for me, PI is about as good as it gets. And AC is a fairly inexpensive Disneyland for Adults. Get a ticket and go on the rides. Life is good!

AC is shit. However, it's also something that should be experienced by every newbie monger to visit the Philippines. Some love it. Some hate it. If you're the later, don't sit and whinge about it, move on: Subic is two hours away; back track to Manila or; Clark has a zillion domestic flight connections.

The odds are stacked on your side. After visiting for nearly 30 years and travelling over much of the Philippines, I've had one encounter where she insisted on me tarping up. One. Yes it was in Angeles but to be fair, she was trying to pisss me off so that I would throw her out early. It worked. I'm assuming those are odds you can live with.

Money is not an issue. Filipinas aren't even my type, but AC just seems to be the BBFS capital of the world. I wish Thailand offered BBFS but I've been told that's rare.

Throwing money around does not guarantee a good time in PI. If anything girls' prices and performance are inversely related. I have to think to recall any high priced girls who were great lays. Yet I have many provincial princesses that will remain burnt into my memory until the day I die.
