IMO Angeles City has been ruined. Since about 2011. I see no reason to return as the pictures and stories from another board with Philippines in their name have more activity on "other places" like Thailand or Indonesia. Now I am happy you still dig the place! Really I am! I would guess there is still some magic out there but. I'll answer specifically Why I as an example feel the place Sucks now.

    1) The hotels are obnoxiously expensive compared to Pattaya.

    2) The ladies have gained weight and are older and more used up than say in 2004. (See pictures of AC Bargirls pre 2009).

    3) Raids and other legal gray area matters have plagued Angeles City for about 15 years or so.

    4) Being a 2 week millionaire from USA means nothing to the ladies now. They are not as excited to see American $ versus other nationalities money.
    (5) The ladies have many more work options like Call Centers or other Business outsourcing they can do and hey - good for them, I am not hating.

Overall around 2002-2005 it was BBFS CIP heaven over there. And a lot of this creampieing was with BEAUTIFUL ladies who were slim and sexy.

Today. With the magic of Google Translate. I can simply head to Thailand and ask the ladies if they want my load. Philippines ladies speak English is no longer very important.

There is HUGE variety in Thailand. There are SO MANY bars in Thailand.

In Angeles City I still hear people posting about the same 3 or 4 bars over and over again. Sorry. Call me old. But I won't be back anytime soon since the Heyday is over. Again, just my opinion and I am not trying to say I am right. It's just that it's easier and cheaper to find what I want elsewhere.
Excellent post, Thanks for telling some home truths, egree with most all of what you say.

4-5 15 yo glue sniffing boys trying rob your pockets.

3 or more ladyboys trying to steal your wallet on the street.

    Pickpockets galore walking around.

    Cell phone snatch and runners.

Most bars girls were inexperienced country bumpkins from Samar.

    High percentage were runners.

    I like today better.
Angeles better than 10 years ago?

I think you will find that the angeles of today has even more armed guards with automatic weapons at establishments.

Multiple more glue sniffing street kids on every st corner leading up to walking st.

Multiple more ladyboys on every st corner than before.

Pickpockets, cell phone snatchers, muggers etc all alive and well in angeles.

Girls promising long time and charging for long time only to run after the 1st pop are at very high levels, of course if one barfines the older fatter more desperate girls then number of runners decreases dramatically.

As stated, not sure what there is to like more than 10 years ago IMHO.

1/. There are many, many more foreigner friendly girls in Cebu than Walking Street. Cebu simply has a larger population. A LOT larger.

2/. Some / many hot girls in AC are Korean or drinks only and will not be going home with a white guy under any circumstance. I haven't found this in Cebu. My experience has been that any Cebu girl happy to date a foreign guy doesn't care if that foreigner is white, yellow, brown or green.

2/. The typical source of AC working girls is poor, destitute, single moms not the thousands of regular girls who flood into Cebu looking for quality schools or jobs.

3/. AC feed stock generally comes from Lyete or Samar (think Isaan and Pattaya). Great if you prefer spinner body types but no so good if you are looking for tall and slim or buxom girls. Poverty and poor nutrition exaggerates this. True cebuana I find to be the whole range from 5'0" and homely to tall and slim. However, to these you add all the other imported ethnicities. The Philippines is an archipelago where different areas produce girls with strikingly different features. Porcelain white skinned girls, tall and stacked, honey brown skinned, huge jugs on a tiny frame: whatever you prefer, seek and ye shall find!

Here is the rebuttal and it's a big one: walk into AC and, if you aren't too fussy, you can be getting laid within minutes of arrival; Cebu is a huge city but it's not point and shoot. It does have a settling in period for newbies to find their feet and make things happen. I've had several guys complain that this period is too long and took up most of their stay. For those prepared to wait, there are rewards. However, it does take time.

In summary (sorry about the long post): in town for a few days, not super fussy and want point and shoot, then go to AC and have a blast; have some extra time, looking for better quality and looking girls and prepared to put in some ground work, then bypass AC and go to Cebu.

I should also add that if your also looking for other things to do beyond getting laid 24/7, then Cebu wins hands down.

    Enjoy. G.
Hit the nail on the head with this one, great post.

So true to say that many of the better looking slimmer angeles bargirls are drinks only girls and will not leave with anyone, even the very high spending koreans who are far preffered customers by many bargirls have problems getting their 1st,2nd,3rd etc choice girls to leave the bar.

Yes its true if one lives in a loveless country where a jump with a whale is impossible or has been locked up in solitary for the last 10 years and is so desperate for some pussy then an angeles visit might be heaven, not so desperate and not willing to greatly lower ones standards to almost nil then one will be greatly dissapointed in angeles, sorry to be truthful but it needs saying.

    2 week tour is finished

My 2 week tour is finished. 7:30 an I checked in for my flight and my AC girl went home on the Genesis 8 am bus.

Friends and Family plan worked out great along with a few new barfines. Nothing to complain about here.

I have solved the problems. ABC front desk stocks quite a bit of P20, P50, P100, P500 and P1000 notes. I get a stack of p50's and P100's at a time. Like P3000 at a time. Saves on a lot of frustration.
My solution to that is when I'm changing money at the money changer I ask them to give me small bills and I tell them exactly which and they will give.

    No Problem.

And front desk from ABC will see my middle finger from outside at max.

Whatever, it's 400 pesos each, so I agree. After a couple of minutes I feel two more sets of hands on me and I look back to see two ladyboys grabbing at my ass and junk and giggling. I was furious! I didn't come here to get my junk grabbed by ladyboys after I am face down getting a massage. I immediately cursed everyone out and left. I still wanted a massage so I asked my hotel to call one for me to my room. They did, and the lady shows up who is about 55 years old it seems. Ok, I get it, it was a decent massage and I'm sure better than one of the young pretty girls but who doesn't like to have a set of 22 year old hands all over them?

My question is, does anyone know of a good massage location on walking street or near that has cute girls (but without disgusting ladyboys trying to grab at you)?
AC is not Pattaya. Generally there is no combo of massage and sex where both are good. There are good places for massage (my favorite is Reign Spa) where 400 peso gets you pretty good hour rub. For sex you should already know where to find that. LOL.

Foreigners do pay a departure tax known to some as a travel tax. Filipino citizens pay it too. The tax is 1620 pesos. Years ago the tax was much lower for foreigners and Filipinos paid 1620. After an uproar over the inequity of the price difference, the government raise the foreigner tax to 1620! Filipinos had thought theirs would be lowered! LOL.

Most all tourist have the tax included in their tickets. Some airlines have the option for the Filipinos to pay the tax in the ticket. If not paid in the ticket then it is paid at the airport.

OFW used to pay it and then inside the boarding area they would claim a refund. OFW are exempt from the tax. Today I believe they do not collect it in the OFW ticket.

I think it's a stay of 6 months or more. I have to pay it every time I leave the country, but then so do Filipinos.

When leaving there is a departure airport tax. Most of the time it depends on the airline you are taking. It will be included in the price paid. I take major international airlines from Manila so that airport tax is already included. When I was in the immigration line when departing they were directing some passengers to another window I believe to pay the tax. Obviously some airlines ticket does not include airport tax. Last time I travelled domestic round trip from Manila to cebu on Air Asia. I did not have to pay anything at both airports.

I would check with the airline.
Thanks, just asking. One friend of mine told me that, but probably is what you say: some airlines ticket does not include the airport tax. Cheers.
