Cambodia and vietnam take full pages. I wish they would make electronic recording and get rid of all these stamping business. Long time ago when I returned to US they did not put a stamp.

I go through a passport with the maximum number of added pages every 3 years due to travel. I go to Cambodia frequently. In the past 1 1/2 years (?) they have allowed you to apply on-line for a e-visa so that when you arrive they just give you a normal stamp. No full pages.

I don't know where you guys are traveling but I travel outside the country about 10 times a year. My passport has been stamped everytime upon return to the US except crossing back from mexico and canada.

I looked at my 2003 issued US Passport and there is not a single US entry stamp after returning numerous times from South America, Asia, and Europe. As someone had earlier noted, all US Passports are scanned upon entry so no stamping is necessary.

thank you for the information. things really went smoothly for you. were you concerned the driver would notice what was happening and stop the activity or does this happen all the time? how did you know the windows would be tinted? i agree with you that romancing the ladies is very important. if you treat them right, they will repay you many times. i also had a good experience in ac. i stayed at the angeles beach club and they had some nice girls there. i also found a nice one at atlantis which is a great club. i've been thinking about arranging a special welcome just like you did.

i really did not give a rats ass about the driver noticing and he got a good peep show, no worries on my art as i am an exhibitionist at times hehehe. they know the score and a $10 us bill in his hand soon as i saw him cured the pathway. the windows were tinted because that is the information i received from my brothers on the ground and the pb desk. next time there will be more fun as i have an orgy and a 5 some plannned.

That is different we are taking about US passport, if you have a Canadian passport you are just visiting US not all country have Passport with a RFID chip in it for computer scanning so do you get stamp entering Canada, I think the other guy must have a very old US passport without the RFID chip.

I have had a scannable passport for years. Since Canadian authorities never stamp my passport perhaps the home countries do so to save you pages? Not sure.

They have a new sticker now smaller only cover 30 % of the page and it is harder to remove, I know the Indoneasia immgration don't look at passport in detail but no big deal they just band you if you get caught just amended your passport add more page it is not that hard.

UK passports cannot be amended. When passport full need to send to HK for a 15 working day turnaround. Thats 21 days with no passport, which can be a long time.

Interestingly, Philippines passports have a slightly different system. If you have a visa in one passport and then get a new passport, they will staple one passport to the new one, as the original visa is still valid. As my wife has a US / UK / Australian visa that are all valid for 10 years, she has 4 passports all stapled together, with the visas in 3 of the passports. Quite a bundle to travel with!

I didn't realsie that my initial comment on passport pages would start this lengthy thread. One thing tho with having about 8 of the old Indonesian full page entry stamps is that theycan be removed. No one there ever checked that the last date of entry page matchd the full page sticker, specially when there were many stickers. Saved at least 5 pages by removing them. Yeah never tamper with a passport. LOL

Might be different for those who are not US citizens like myself. For example, I have a stamp from Oct 2011 and I was only in transit headed back to Toronto thru D.C.

Thank you for your kind words. I just made sure things were in place the way I like them for this initial but not last trip.

1. Jennifer is from the AC area. I told her to be at the hotel a certain time and whatever she does in life she better not miss the Van. She was there 3 hours early LOL. So, the girl has to go to the PB to meet the van.

2. I have Lodge bros that have given me the light on information I seek. Ask and it shall be given. So mote it be.

3. I actually feel asleep and she still had it in her. Sooooo true.

4. I did not know of any service, it is what I required.

5. I have not heard from Jennifer and she was moving to Manilla last time I chatted with her. Anne at Pacific Breeze arranged for everything. I was not an idiot to tell Anne my in depth plans, only that I wanted a friend to come pick me up with the van. Please be discreet and have respect for the staff there. They know the game and will assist you as much as possible but be discreet and courteous to them. I will be returning there in March and PB is the only place I will stay and that is because of the great staff service. I had a bouquet of Red Roses provided by the staff at PB waiting on the bed when Jennifer and I arrived to our room. She went all out for my arrival and I wanted to do something special for her. She started crying when she saw the roses and said even her own family never gave her flowers.

6. Start making friends on DIA and tagged, you will be surprised at the results. Jennifer and I started with good comms and I'm each other, after a bit we became more loose and naughty and you see the end results. I don't know your game but I have my own methods for different girls and they have worked for me, individual results may vary.

Just a quick response as this is strickly. IMO.

My gut feeling is NO. Going thru all the extra time and travel just for 1 nite in AC will not get you a true feel of the place. It will seem like, get there, check into hotel go out for a quick bite to eat, sit at a bar, order a drink, make a rush decision to pick any gal available as time feels short and then it will be time to leave. (depending on when you arrive and depart).

Like I said this is strickly IMO.

Waste of time going only 1 night, complete waste of money and effort.

If you do go however, most hotels require passport to check-in, there is no other need for passport unless you get into trouble. You should always have it close or in the room safe, just in case.

AC is no different than anywhere else in PI. If you want LT then ask upfront, I've never been charged a different price in AC for LT vs ST. You pay the barfine upfront, same as any other city. In AC, tipping is up to you, most say don't tip (not trying to open that can of worms on this forum again!.)

I'm not sure why we would stop speaking our minds on the board. We often discuss the culture (sometimes we are right, sometimes wrong?) , that's kind of the idea of the various parts of the Philippine thread. We also discuss the positives of going there (trim, food, diving, etc.)

We don't wonder why we get attacked. It's a modestly violent society. They attack their own more often than they attack kano. Reading this board for pina is a good / bad look in the mirror?

One thing filipinos have been repeatedly accused of by outsiders on a cultural level is being style over substance. Not only by outsiders, but also by filipinos. A pinay sent me a youtube link last year to a Filipino comedian doing a routine on 'filipine culture in 5 minutes'. He sits at home on cam, and talks to foreigners about the odd things filipinos do, that filipinos find normal yet outsiders must find funny: "We say 'he' when we mean 'she', and we say 'she' when we mean 'he'. We often don't really say what we mean hahaha. Filipinos often understand that their best friend might be lying to our face, because he is not saying what he means. Really I was talking about my female friend just now, but I said 'he'. See how we do that? Haha." The comedian goes on to discuss how its more important for filipinos to not admit being wrong (what we would call saving face) and how its important for filipinos to appear or look good or correct, even when they know what they are saying or portraying is incorrect (style over substance). Given that filipinos themselves have told me this before, and we've seen it many times before, and a comedian is on youtube talking about it: it would be hard to deny Manonsan's comment, even if it's negative.

Guys like you who visit here do not see the whole story. The posts about why phillippines is still poor on a mongers site was a fine line then the posts started to get personal.

I maybe bias this week as I had a few in my face situations where one resulted in me been charged with assault. So I was just asking people to lighten up the personal attacks on the locals.

Indonesian visa stickers which have thankfully gotten smaller.

Indonesia though. When they went thru this full page. Stamp only. Smaller sticker fiasco. Timatic listed Jakarta / Bali as stamp only at the time of travel, I was given the option of paying 5 million or be deported in some shady back room as I had no space for their newly created small sticker. Why.
