Fellow forum members, I read recently that there will be direct flights operating from Singapore to AC in early next year. 2011. What that means is that there will be generally an influx of Singaporean hopping over to AC to enjoy the "fruits of passion".

Sure, there are a few Singaporeans enjoying AC, but not in sufficient numbers to impact the market in anyway. They already have Batam only a stone's throw away (in addition to OT and Geylang) , so the majority don't need to fly all the way to AC.

Tiger Airways is catering more towards Pinoy DH (maids aka Domestic Helpers) working in Singapore, other budget travellers who don't feel like forking out the extra $$ for the mainstream carriers that fly into NAIA and then possibly hobbyist like ourselves whose international flights terminate at SIN (and need another flight to MNL or CRK).

(1) given the relative behavior of Singaporeans on weekends (over in Batam where they grabbed everything that moves and inflated mongering prices) , is AC ready for them?

(2) given a new source of patron for the mongering industry in AC, would that translate to better accommodation and facilities in AC to cater to the rather "picky" new crowd?

(3) what about the regular mongers to AC, and you the local experts? How do you feel about the new development?

I am just thinking out loud (with not punt intended to offend anyone). I hope some members here might want to share their opinion and maybe even suggestion based on your experience.

Um, there are already direct flights. At least two per day from Singapore with Tiger Airways, and iirc Cebu Pacific has one.

I have not checked any others.

It does not seem to have made a noticeable difference so far. The reason being that they can still get to Batam much quicker than to PI. Even if it is direct. At least, that is my take on it.

It amazes me that people still compare AC to Pattaya. These are 2 different cities in 2 different countries and although both renown as mongering destination essentially there are way too many differences. Pattaya is much bigger, older mongering destination with more established gogos and reputation, which is essence, means a lot more choice in terms of mongering activities. From you massage parlours to all sorts of kinky fetishes, boutiques sex hotels whatever your heart desires is there. You will find most things in Angeles too but its harder and you need local knowledge hence why this forum is important. Having said that Angeles is smaller, more organised and MONGORING ONLY destination. I for one hate what Pattaya has become over the last 10 years (I am sure the trend has been evident even longer but this is from my experience) a mixture of mongering / budget tourism for Russians and Indians and cheep Charlies. I feel more comfortable to be among my own in AC then in Pattaya. Anyway.

If you do short trips like myself (10-14 day max – 5-6 times a year) then AC is the way to go. AC can become boring and I don't think I can last a whole month there. You have to visit few places in PHI if you stay a month as oppose to a BKK / Pattaya combo in Thailand. If you do a month long trips then Pattaya is the way to go. As far as bang for your buck there is very little difference when you add price of food / accommodation, transport (airfares are generally cheaper to Bangkok then AC, keep that in mind).

Service depends on your negotiating skills, the mood of the girl, the attitude you have towards the girl, luck. You name it.

I was in Pattaya Monday through Wednesday this week and for the first time ever I could not wait to get out of town. I picked up a nice dancer from Alcatraz and after bar hopping with her and spending a fair bit of cash on her friends we went back into my room and she could not stop complaining about you name it. The aircon, the tv, the noise that the fridge was making LOL. Service was pathetic and I turned what was supposed to be a LT into ST very quickly. Same thing happened from 2 other bars on walking st and this is in the course of 2 nights and we are talking barflies that happened 11 pm +. I have NEVER had this happen in AC. The only good thing I can report about my Pattaya trip is Soi 6 is still great during the day and next time that is where I will be hanging around. I have had enough of the Walking St circus. Give it few years and Walking St will turn into another Bangala road with tourist attractions and tourist show rip offs rather than sex tourism Mecca.

Not sure why you should be amazed, these are the two most obvious mongering destinations in SEA and you have just provided a very competent comparison.

My own take is that for the relative newbie Pattaya is a much better bet in terms of the whole package inc food accommodation, choice things to do etc. However Pattya has changed probably for the worse over the last 10 years and many such as McDn have become jaded in which case AC is worth a try, however it's not a place to stay long term IMHO, a week is enough IMHO. If you have more time than theat bettter combine it with another destination.

We were discussing the Pool Bar and Sky Bar within ABC hotel. The girls there bill 3000 peso for "massage" which is FS sex in your ABC room. What makes them different is that they only go with ABC guests at least the once in the Pool bar and somewhat I guess more exclusive in terms of millage.

Oh, I don't know about low mileage. One of them was on my regular outcall list, until I found out she would take the money and barfine guys from hosto bars.

Was wondering how Christmas and new years holiday is at AC and Manila? Is it mostly empty with girls going back home to their provinces? I am thinking about making a trip to Philippines during that time. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I was in Manila the week before and the week of Christmas last year. Don't know what I was thinking doing it that way but I wished I would have been there for New Years. Aside from the traffic I had a blast. I met a MILF online who was basically my wife for the whole time. I t was my first time there so I wanted to be with someone I could trust. I am looking forward to going again. Women there are hot and very friendly. One could pick up a regular girl there easy.

It seems like the girls go to hygiene for just go but not get treated or not taking their medications if they are infected with std. I know of friends who got infected with these bar girls.

Headed to AC early next year for a stay over 30 days. Looking for information the quality of Elben Villas and Townhouses or DM Residente Villas?

Also looking for other possible long-term stay options.

I have stayed at the Wild Orchid and Royal Amsterdam and enjoyed both hotels. But both stays were for less than a week.

Any information would be helpful.

Normal rack rate should be 1500 baht short time, in addition to the bar fine.

I just assume they all have something even if it's not life threatening. Just be sure to strap on for every boom boom session and all should be fine. Well most of the time. I did have a friend catch an STD from a bargirl because the condom broke. Nothing is guaranteed I guess but you can always lessen your chances.

Pattaya will still be more expensive even comparing the 3000 peso spotlight girl (LT which turns into ST) vs 2700 baht (ST) or 3700 bath (LT) in the best Pattaya go-go bars. US dollar sucks; it's going down. One advantage of Pattaya is that you can negotiate with the girls for the tip. But not sure if you can do that with the best looking girls in the go-go bars. I haven't really tried it. But you definitely can with the average looking girls. The other night late in a go go bar, a decent looking girl offered 1000 baht for long time.

I love both Pattaya and angeles. I live in angeles most of the time.

Pattaya is more expensive with the prices and tips. You can negotiate but that can lead to other problems also.

Angeles you do not need to negotiate. Its one set price. Bar fine and girl share is all inclusive. Tips are optional. Some girls ask and some don't. I give tip depending on service. But the tip can be trike fare of 100 to 200 pesos.

Or if really good maybe 500 pesos.

Pattaya great because you are walking around by the ocean. And the girls are so hot. But don't speak english as much as the filipina girls.

Then the filipina girls speak english but don't always understand it.

Love Pattaya for the nude clubs and naked shows. Angeles is more covered up and recent raids on bars have increased the clubs paranoia
