Just back from AC, and tips are getting out of control. I was at the corner were butter fly bar and watch a guy give a girl 2000 piso tip around midnight. IMHO a good benchmark! I usually give 200-300 pesos for an average service, but 500 pesos for an excellent one (LT of course).

However, some guys have their good reasons for giving no tip at all which is also not the end of the world. But as you said correctly, it's entirely up to us!
