I need to put this out there because I am getting disturbing news from my favorite Mamasan.

She has seen an increased number of bar girls not passing their Hygiene. Us, fellow mongers feel that if we stay in the bars we are shielded from what the street walkers and Skytrax workers maybe carrying. But, I think we need to rethink this.

I have dated four of the older waitresses or mama's from AC bars. All confirm what Unda is talking about. Its not that the hygiene system in place is a complete joke or waste of time. But several factors come into play. The girls can figure ways to not get tested. The bars can figure ways to keep the girls working who have not been tested, and they can also figure ways to keep girls working who failed testing (dancing, ladies-drinks only).

Taking a girl from a bar in AC or on P Burgos street is little different than non-barfine girls in probability of getting something. Its a myth that the bargirls are carrying an up-to-date health card.

Have had black men tell me their wallet has meant nothing when barfining, the girl just won't go. But she will with white guys. Well you said it yourself. Each girl has Her own likes and dislikes. No two are alike. And that goes for every where in the world. So there are some who will and some who won't. Fields Ave is like a sorority of college age girls trying to grow up, learn, provide a better life for their kids, and find a man to take them away. Most bar girls come from very poor families.

Instead, most go back home to their province poor, diseased, and heart broken. I have been looking around. It's the same ole bar girls at each bar. Maybe a new one will come every couple of months. But, for the most part, the same salt in the sea.

Granted, all guys with money will find action in AC. But methinks it's a little naive to think appearance/race/age absolutely doesn't matter to a bar girl. Even if it’s mostly about money, she will certainly harbor preferences and stereotypes inherent to all humans. Her attractiveness will determine how picky she can afford to be.

If I were a male prostitute, yeah, money is my primary motive. But I will clearly prefer certain types of clients.

I’m Asian. My DIA profile gets less hits than white guys. Not by much, but by a noticeable amount. There’s no need to take offense because, without much effort, you’ll certainly find plenty of decent girls in the Philippines who will go with you no matter what race/age you are.



I would take what they say with a grain of salt. A girl may tell you she doesn't want an Asian guy. But 5 minutes later, she's with an Asian guy telling him how she wouldn't go with a white guy. It's call "selling the customer with whatever he wants to hear". I have never heard of a bar girl telling a guy she wouldn't go with his type.

Even though they're bar girls, they're still girls with typical female egos. They want others to believe they won't just go with everyone. Being a prostitute isn't exactly something to be proud of to begin with.

As a side note, 99% of Filipinas would marry a nice/successful Pinoy man if she could. Don’t assume bar girls represent the thinking of a vast majority of Filipinas. Look at pop Filipino culture. Their movies and magazine clearly shows Filipino men and Filipina women as the ideal couple. In America, a vast majority of Filipinos marry each other (or other Asians) even though they have plenty of options.

Yup, yup and yup hehe. Im filipino myself and I get rejected numerous times at a gogo bar. Sometimes, it takes me a while until I do find someone I like and who will go back with me to my hotel. Bargirls say alot of things to not go with a customer. "I'm on my menstruation right now", "I don't feel so good, my stomach" "I'm in a grouchy mood" blah, blah, blah.

You can sense in a girls body language on whether they feel comfortable with you or not. Sometimes when one of the waitresses in the gogo bar calls a girl to sit by me, I see her facial expression like: "Whose this guy who wants me to sit with him? Oh, he's a pinoy. It's understandable though why these girls are picky. I mean yah, it's a job and they shouldn't be too picky if they want to make money to make ends meet but, at the same time, they are scared and is concerned about their own safety.

If I was a BG and a big guy 6' + tall, 200lbs wanted to BF me, I would be a bit hesitant and scared. He could be a very nice gentleman but, on first impression alone, any girl would be intimidated. It's not just the size of the person also. He may have a certain look about him that creeps a girl out.

I have been reading alot before my first trip to AC. But for the life of me i cant figure out the difference between Fields Ave and Perimeter Rd. Obviously i know they are different locations.

This is my second note in two days. I have found the best headache drug in the world it is called tammill. Just arrived yesterday evening at Angeles City using the Swagman Fly D bus. It was 600 pesos from Ermita to AC but given the traffic it was more than 3 hours door to door.

I was in AC last time three years ago. The city has developped very quickly. i had the same feeling in Manila... at 6 % per year, this is 20 % more of GDP in the country and I can feel the difference: many new constructions, new hotels and bars. The punter moneys can do miracles.

After the check-in, i have visited the "Forbidden City a gogo". Many average or fat girls on the dance floor. Not so many customers. Then I have been at Brown Sugar. I have seen many indian customers everywhere and this was not the case three years ago. It seems that now Indians people have more money and can afford destinations like AC or Pattaya. Due to limited time and flight schedule (as I can't fly direct to Clark ). I will have to fly to Manila but don't want stay there . Anyone know if there is a direct bus from the airport that takes you straight to AC?

Public transportation is indeed the cheapest option! However, if you arrive late and with heavy luggage you might consider a pick-up service. If I am not mistaken it costs about 3000 pesos from the airport to AC, but since it is much faster and more comfortable by car it might be worth it!

There's alot of Money Changers on fields Avenue but, it's out in the open. I don't like this especially if your exchanging $500+ dollars at once. I exchanged my $100 bills at one of the department stores in SM Clark. There's a guard standing there. The bad thing about this is that you have to walk to SM Clark and you have to fill out this form that includes your name,amount of money being exchanged, place your staying at, your passport number.

This is the same with other department stores in SM Mall. SM Mall in Cebu the department stores that have an exchange counter will also require a form to be filled out.

You can exchange money at Natalia's. There is an exchange in front of their hotel, but you can go ahead and go inside and do it at reception or cashier. It's the same thing.
