I am a drinker and part of going on holiday is to drink, so if buying a few lady drinks comes with the territory then so be it. I also watch other mongers and how they hunt. From the ones that sit down alone with a bottle of water, pick a girl, buy her a drink and do the interview then gone within half an hour. To the party animals that have a table full of girls. Each to their own, it is their money to do with as they please.

Buying drinks for waitresses what can I say, I like an older girl. Barfine more waitresses than dancers. If one likes to drink but doesn't like to pay lady drink prices, find the girl you want to spend the night with, barfine her then she is no longer working in the bar and she can no longer get ladies drinks. She can not make money from drinks once she has been barfined.

What I'd like to know is why do you need the girls to be naked in the first place. These are not strip clubs. They are there for your entertainment and to take home for sexual pleasure.

I often go in sit down, when the waitress comes I will tell them to wait. Give me a few minutes to see. They leave, of course come back and I order and no hassle. You can always buy a coke and let it sit if you don't want to drink. They will not ask you for another as long as it sits there.

Cherry girls

It is what it is. They don't hide the fact that they are cherry girls. Whenever you ask about them, the waitress, mamasan all will be quick to point out she is a cherry girl. So if you call her off stage to sit with you. Of course you should be willing to buy her a drink. while i am not sure of sammon's breakdown of prices (after all, everyone has different priorities), it is actually not a bad daily budget overall for someone coming to ac for the first time - and you will have a good time if you have a good attitude. then as you get to know the place better, then poopbunny's advice is good, and you can get an even better time for even less money. there are cheaper hotels, and cheaper eating places and some bars are cheaper than others etc etc. of course expats living there are even better off. b@st@rds!

the other thing to note is that ac does not have much more than eating, drinking and dipping the pork sword. so at the risk of being called a restaurant owner, i advise you don't go into a restaurant unless you want to eat - that's what they are for. at the risk of being called a bar owner, don't go into a bar unless you want to drink - last time i looked, bars are drinking places. (note that going into a bar in your home town and not drinking might get you a reputation for being a bit strange, so don't be surprised that it is similar in other bars round the world. just imagine if you went into a bar in your home town and when they asked if you wanted a drink you replied that they were scamming you to buy drinks - lol).

Why do you include drinks for yourself. Thats not the ost for the woman. Guys would drink whether they P4P or not.

I have many expat friends, we usually bar hop together and you won't see them blowing money like a tourist. I've learned from them. You don't have to try to impress these women with cash.
