I have not stayed in any of them, but i can say that the Brass Knob hotel is the closest hotel to the action (closest to fields and check point area bars).
Barfines/Ewr's On fields are generally P1350, there are a few cheaper ones, such as Body Shop at P1300 and also more expensive ones, such as the DHG (Doll house group), which has a tiered system of P1300, P1500 and P3000. Also Agasya has a tiered system that starts at P1400 and goes up from there.
On Perimeter road bars you will find that P1200 is the most common, with few exceptions, Honey ko's is still P1000 and Thai hi is also at P1000.
For tipping my opinion is that its totally up to you, but if you want to be in the current market conditions/trends for mongers, then P200 to P500 for LT is right on target.

Taxi from which airport? Manila taxi will cost a lot if you get it from airport poss 2500p. best option go to the other level and jump into a taxi that is dropping passengers off, it will be a lot cheaper poss 1500p. Or take taxi to san jose and get the rabbit bus to AC for about 117p. forget what taxi cost was to San Jose bus station.
If flying into Clark, taxis wait outside for 300p. Or arrange hotel to pick you up poss same price.
What was cost of these hotels mentioned, and do you know if they had Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable in room?
I always like Swiss chalet 1450p per night, all your needs and has the above and very close to action!

Hi everyone,
I am coming for 7 nights, end of October, early November. I am looking to stay at a cheap hotel and have narrowed my choice to Premiere Hotel, Sunset Garden Hotel, Hana Hotel and Brass Knob (gotta love that name). All seem to be similar price. I am really keen to hear reviews. Just need aircon, fridge, bathroom, clean, big comfortable bed. It seems they are all fairly close to the action. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have not been to Philippines before. Am I correct in saying that bar fines are generally around 1500? Sorry to be ignorant, but it seems that this BF is all inclusive - correct? Tip 200-500?
Probably another silly question, but are taxis readily available at airport? Approx how much to these hotels?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
all Waynes maps I seem to find are fairly outdated.
Anyone found a updated recent 2008 edition somewhere?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
Of course I know how to enjoy the bar life in Angeles, but sometimes I wish I was in Thailand, cause I miss the wonderful experience of a soapy massage in Angeles.
I've tried some massage parlors opposite Brown Sugar but not much "extra" offered. Anyone got any experience with a good relaxing massage with some kinda extra in AC?

There is also a new bar called "Eager Beavers" that is in the same location as the old "Stingers bar"

Posts: 500Last weekend in Angeles city
Hi to all,
didnt went to Cherry bar this weekend. Sometimes its hard for me to see all the bars, ehehehehe..
What I see at night was that there are simply to many pinoy guys around and Im surely not the guy who step beside if somebody confront me. I also dont do that when I leave work for lunch.
I visit the new bar beside of Blue Nile. Name escape me, but its a part of the newly opened walkabout hotel. They have two stages, its a small layout so you can talk to the girls easily. I saw two "okay girls", not much impressed by the setup, but it can change evry day.
The hotel has a promo fair starting at 960p for the room. Didnt checked the room yet, so cant say anything how they look like and about the noise factor during day or at night.
Fields looks deserted to me. Mostly asian guys around. Dollhouse group bought the rest of the corner behind their bar. Midnight rodeo and the other dump who used to be internet cafe and then become a noisy karaoke place for dogs, pimps and other subjects I dont want to befriend with.
Camelot or lancelot have a new papa san. Mike, left the group, according to my sources he doesnt want to kiss the owners ass any more, ehehehe..
Weather is cool here, typhoon is passing by and brings some rain which is good for the rice and good to cool things down.
Happy day to all

Posts: 112update on the cherry's club raid
it appears as though the clark based nbi were the ones who conducted the raid.
information for a source of mine said that a girl who works there, txt him and said she was at the clark nbi building, but he received no further txts from her after that. its not uncommon for the agents/officials to confirep001e cell phones when they see them, but some girls are good at hiding them.
more newly gained information has it that the owner of the bar was caught up in the raid as well and was taken "into custody" by the clark nbi. no word yet if he has been released or of his status

as for why the raids happen. there are many possibilities/motives. some are actually legit and are looking for **** staff, but even in this case, the real motive is money. most raids are financially motivated. once in a blue moon a raid will happen where the real intention is to "rescue" the workers, but those are far and few between.
as for ac becoming smoke free, i will give my opinion, which is, that is decades away from happening, most of the customers now are asians, all of whom smoke, so that will probably not happen anytime soon.

Posts: 194Customers in bar at time of raid
what happens to the customers in the bars when they conduct these raids?
i assume they are after finding ****d girls, so if all bar only have girls of the correct age, then in the end they would not need to have these raids!
or is there another purpose for these raids, like extracting money from bar owners!
i planed to come to ac again in early september, but i cancelled for two reasons. 1 after reading report from the horse about security issues in ac, and how the tourist police are no longer patrolling. and 2 it was so nice in thailand, where you could go to a smoke free bar or restaurant.
can’t wait until it happens in all of the philippines, like it has in davao!
last time i was in swiss chalet i was having breakfast and a guy lit up a cigar. how selfish can you get?
i have to come in november as i am coming with a friend and said i would show him around as he is an ac virgin, but after that most of my time will be spent in thailand!
