I am moving to subic in a couple of weeks. I used the new expressway for the first time last week (coming from Subic to AC), but.

I drove right through clark, entered NLEX, went two exits to Angeles, and then took another 10 minute drive to Fields. Did I do something wrong? Someone told me that is the only way, but it makes no sense. Why would it be called the Clark-subic expressway if there was no clark exit.

"ANGELES CITY: Pinoy Gumising Ka Movement (PGKM) Chairman Ruperto Cruz yesterday called on all allies of President Gloria Arroyo to “save her from shame and disgrace before it is too late” as the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) is set to open on April without the access to the DMIA.

“The President will face criticisms when the SCTEx opens in time for her birthday on April because the Clark Freeport has no direct access to the expressway,” Cruz told The Manila Times.

He blamed Clark Development Corp. (CDC) President Levy Laus’ alleged opposition to the Clark North Interchange in Dolores.

Clark has only two interchanges: the Clark North Interchange in Dolores, which was supposedly linked to an access road to Expo Pilipino, and the Clark Logistics Interchange connected to the North Luzon Expressway Spur Road in Mabiga, Mabalacat.

The Clark Logistics Interchange is only a connection between the two expressways, SCTEx and NLEx but was not completed.

“It is just a loop connecting SCTEx and NLEx, and it doesn’t take you inside Clark because there are no arterial roads entering Clark. It will only serve commuters coming from Manila going to Subic and Tarlac, and back,” explained Cruz."

At the present time, there are no easy exit or entry points for Clark. You must drive through Clark, exit the MABALACAT gate, go to Mc Arthur Highway and turn left as if you are heading to Tarlac on the old road. Then, right after the Kamikaze Memorial (before Bambam Bridge) there is an entrance exit named Clark North. There is another entry/exit named Clark Logistics Interchange. Supposedly, you go out the Dau Road to the NLEx a few kilometers and there is an access point on the new expressway.

From the map SCTEx 2, you can see there will be three interchanges into Clark due for completion sometime in the near future. The reason for the incompletion was a political one as specified in the Manila Times Internet Edition, Feb. 8, 2008. Two overpasses have been completed which connect Tarlac to Subic and NLEx via a " spur......"

They ran out of money and in true Filipino fashion will construct the Clark exit in the near future. :o

Just arrived home from a trip to A/C. Although I usually go once every six months I missed a cycle to visit Thailand.

Normally I prefer the smaller more cozier bars where you can have more interaction. However, I did make the rounds to the bigger bars.

The first thing that struck me was how many unappealing (chubby, stretch marks, no tits, mushy tits, etc.) girls are showing up in the bars, including the so-called “show clubs” (what a laugh). My own (unscientific) poll revealed that all had one or more babies.

Had a problem at Insomnia, ....... If you want to be hassled, this is the place to go.

The second I noticed was the slow demise of Santo’s Street. .....

Did have a very good time in the Bird Cage ........

Stopped at the “Gentlemen’s Club” for a beer. ........ Friendly and agreeable place.

best BJ bar on Santos nowadays is WOW, the TINY dive right on the corner across from SHANO's Irish pub (the road where you would turn RIGHT to Pacific Breeze if coming from Wild Orchid). No onsite ST rooms though, so you gotta have your own room. NOT open late.

Regarding food, the choices are MUCH better than a few years ago, but true epicures should NOT go to Angeles to satiate their hunger. Makati/Manila has way better food options at the upper end.

But if yiou want to go cheap on girls but expensive on foiod, you need not starve. C's is among the most haute cuisine but it is WAY overpriced for Angeles. The prices would be high even in Milan or New York, but for Angeles they are absurd (a small pizza is $14).

Azzure Restaurant, upstairs from Lacelot's, offers very good Italian food at reasonable prices. I also like the Maranao Grill at Oasis Hotel quite a lot. l SM Mall has several very acceptable eateries and the food at Wild Orchid is not bad at all.

She gave a bj like she was drinking a milk shake, then left me (literally) high and dry at that tender moment. Eventually got a decent bj from a girl who worked at Heaven. Can’t remember her name, but she was a cherry-girl. Not bad and a great tight body.

Did have a very good time in the Bird Cage (next to Confetti’s). On Thursday and Saturday they go topless, while painting their tits and the rest of their body(s) as some type of animal. Met a waitress there who I eventually barfined, she was a demon in bed. Look for the one with the stud in her tongue.

Stopped at the “Gentlemen’s Club” for a beer. I was on my way back from Perimeter Road and stopped just to get out of the heat. Had been there a year or two ago and it was a real dump. What a surprise, the new owners have redone the entire place making it easier to maneuver. Also, the owner was very friendly, literally buying round after round for hours. I would recommend you stop and have a beer. Friendly and agreeable place.

Just a couple of things. Although the reports of quality declining, we also hear reports of ''more beautiful women than I know what to do with'' which comes down to what we hear alot: Your average girl is my 10 and vica versa. Just for perspective

I also want to comment on the baby fat/stretch marks comment. Now, there is no scientific proof, but I would bet most babies are born to momgers. The Philippines has got to be the #1 mongering spot for bareback sex. Yeah yeah yeah we always use condoms. I doubt it. Ask ANY WG and she will tell you 9/10 guys don't. Manila is a little better, but not much.

So I would beg you guys PLEASE use condems. I not only have mongered in the PI but married a pinay (not a wg) and I adore them. The last thing these girls need is a baby from a monger. So when you complain about all the girls with baby bodies, just remember most likely it is a selfish mongers fault.

To address the usual arguments:

1. If a guy wants to engage in sex without using a condom, that's his risk and his business.

2. If a girl wants to engage in sex without using a condom, that's her risk and her business.

3. If YOU want to protect yourself from either or both of the aforementioned parties, then YOU should use a condom for sex all the time and thus YOU will be protected from the allegedly unsafe sex practices of the other parties.

Yes Cottage Kitchen is good. Also on Perimeter is a Mexican place, which is adequate. I used to live in S. California and became used to good Mexican fare, so I may be overly picky. Closer to the action ...I think it's called Bourban something.... is a good place and had nice music the night I was there.

If you don't mind getting your fingers dirty, eat with the locals. BBQ chicken!

Harry the Horse often gives restaurant reviews in his monthly column and of course you can eat at his place called La Casa also on Perimeter. I seem to remember some talk about a Philly cheese steak in his March note...(I also used to live in South Philly!). I love Philly chessy steaks!

I'm staying at the Pacific Breeze. Friendly staff, sure thing, descent and clean rooms, sure thing too.

But the food. OMG this is terrible.

I had a cheeseburger last night, and for the frist time in my life, I wish I had a dinner at Mc Donalds.

I'm not talking about a 3 stars Gourmet Michelin restaurant (well if you know any give me the adress hehe). But just something descent. I'm willing to shell out 1K + PHP for a descent meal

C' Italian has very good food, IMHO. It is located well down Fields.
