I also arrived at another terminal, but was allowed to use the free shuttle to T3, it took forever though. Luckily many airlines now use T3, but terminal transfer at MIA is a b****.

Somehow I ended up taking the exact same two girls yesterday as I did the day before and in the exact same order (performances were roughly similar but not as fun). In between I performed some crucial reconnaissance and popped into about 10 beer bars, gogo bars etc.

One thing was for sure by the time I got in there the talent was mediocre- and this has been a consistent theme, mediocre talent indoors but absolute stunners walking around on barfines or walking home in the morning. The quarry is elusive. As for prices, I was quoted 3000-4000 for short time, with one weird quote of 3000 short time and 3500 long time. Really just 500 more for the entire night? Also keep in mind these lady drinks are expensive I ended up spending 800 pesos at one bar and never took a girl. This gets you almost to sex with a freelancer. Some people enjoy this discovery and negotiation stage, for me it is a time and money waster.

I think for barfines at Go Go's best to go at around 18:00-18:30 before the talent is snatched up. For freelancers go Freelancer Corner (Raymond St) at around 21:30 - it's pretty thin before that and your options are more limited. I've never been out past midnight so can't vouch for the scene late night / early morning. Another very unexpected discovery is that many of the bars have dayshifts that begin at 9:30 am. Yes, you heard me correct. I have seen some of the hottest girls outside during these bleary eyed walks to breakfast hardly believing that a bar would attempt an early morning shift, but hey if the economics work. Tomorrow I might pull a girl during the morning- I was quoted 3000 by a spinner hottie who wasn't in the lineup when I went during the night- and if I can get this without having to buy and drinks could be a good way to satisfy morning wood. I should say by the time I returned from breakfast as the hot sun was coming up all the hotties had retreated indoors, presumably to entertain men that had arrived for some day drinking and fucking.

Another theme was terrible service. Often I would go into a bar, Viking for example, and be pulled in with great enthusiasm and fanfare only to be completely ignored by the bar staff who never even came over to ask if I wanted a drink much less to choose a lady. Eventually I just left disgusted. They are very keen and eager to get you in the door but once you are in just sort of leave you to yourself. Only at one bar did a mamasan ask if I wanted a lady to sit next to me and gave me a laser to point her out. The rest of the time I just had a beer and watched the girls dance lazily, obviously bored staring into space, very few attempting to make eye contact. Nothing at all from the staff who just ignored me totally. I'm not really sure how this laissez faire approach makes sense economically, it's very different from Pattaya where it seems like a whole team of people are there to milk you and massage your money from you every step of the way-you will be asked almost immediately if you would like to chose a girl etc etc. I hate to come back to this theme because it might be an insecurity that's not in accord with reality, but is it because they are mostly focused on Asian men and just see me as an incidental curiosity not really worth catering to? Sometimes it feels that way whether it is true or not, and another reason I prefer Pattaya.

I'm still figuring out how long I'm going to stay. I have yet to figure this scene out as all the contradictions and mysteries expressed above still cloud any absolute judgment. It's clear there are very fuckable hotties around- but I only see them on the arms of guys- never in the bar. These guys have figured out something that I have not. Anyone have any advice?

Weary of all the high barfine quotes read about here, I resolve to stay clear of the GoGo bars for a good while and see what's out there in the freelance category. If I was on a 2 week run I don't think the barfines I've heard about are too bad- but this is a 3 month trip all countries combined, so I'm searching for value. Thanks to the generous brothers here who hooked me up with some essential details about the Genesis P2P Bus, I was armed and ready but as you will see there are always complications in Ph. Most travelers will arrive at Terminal 3 and won't have a problem, but for some mystical reason there are actually 4 terminals at NAIA and the only way between them is to take a cab or shuttle. The Genesis bus to Clark is at Terminal 3 so my first challenge was to get there- not so hard right? Wrong. I find the shuttle and the man says, "can I please see your connecting flight ticket sir? I have no connecting flight, I'm trying to get the Bus to Clark. "Sorry, sir, the shuttle is for connecting flights only. " I try to reason with this dude for five minutes before he finally relents but damn. The shuttle to Terminal 3 drops off upstairs at departures- not a big deal, right? Wrong. It's not easy getting downstairs to the bays as all the entrances have long security lines and there are no external stairs. I get shuffled from entrance 9 to entrance 6, then they say go to entrance 5. I wait in a long ass line at entrance 5: "Sorry sir, your luggage is too big, you need to go to entrance 6. " Jesus. I wait in a long ass line at entrance 6. "Where is your airline ticket sir?" I have no ticket. I'm just trying to get downstairs to the Genesis Bus. "Sorry sir, you need to wait at entrance 5". I finally get downstairs and head to Bay 3 as listed on the Genesis website only to discover the bus is now at Bay 11. Got that everyone, Genesis Bus to Clark at Bay 11 downstairs at Terminal 3? The Genesis Bus arrives, 400 pesos, I sleep the entire time and the dropoff is at Clark SM Mall 2 hours later. If you are not coming from Terminal 2 it should be about 100 x easier than I've described and this is a great method to get to Angeles- no taxi, no Victory Pasay Liner etc. Etc.

3 weeks ago I had the same issue with the Terminal Bus. I arrived from Cebu at T2 and wanted to go to T3 to get the Genesis Bus, then they also told me it is only for connecting Flights.

This must be something new.

Before the Pandemic I alway took the Bus for free from T1 to T3 with zero problems. Now they don't let you on the Bus and you have to take a taxi to go to other Terminal. Not good, they are working together with the Taxi Gangsters. I hate that.

This BS ist typical for the PH. They often have these stupid rules and keep to it.

My hotel is close to Walking Street. I sleep for the rest of the day, wake up, have some food at Kokomos, and then start cruising the strip. I don't really think the situation is as bleak as many have described. There seem to be plenty of bars and clubs open, plenty of girls, and not too many mongers. Sure not everything is open- but at this point the number of mongers is low enough that it's not an issue. I might even prefer the current situation to the Summer of 2019. Also it seems that compared to ThaiFriendly, there is a lower proportion of pro-talent and all things being equal, any girl freelancing in Angeles will probably also be on the street as well and maybe better to just grab them then and there and not have to wait for somebody who surely will be 1-2 hours late or completely flake.

One of the problems with Angeles is that there is fuck all to do during the day- drink at one of the bars with balconies, or head to SM Clark Mall- which I'm actually doing now as I type this in a Starbucks. Walkabout, Aussie (dick head) owner sold right before virus I believe not sure but maybe heard Korean or Japanese brought, I'm with you on the location is amazing and was cheap but but but was never known to be clean every room was infested with cockroaches. One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard anywhere was on this forum regarding taxis. That advice was always use a taxi that is moving. Those that hang around outside a hotel or waiting on a taxi cue will cost you more because you have to pay for his down time. Makes sense doesn't it?

So to answer your question when exiting the terminal go upstairs to the departure deck and get a taxi that just let off a passenger. That taxi is moving and is eager to quickly get another fare. You can try bargaining for a trip to Your hotel in Angeles. Considering the increased cost of fuel I think maybe 2,500 pesos will be acceptable but he pays the tolls. Make sure you take a picture of him, his license and car and let him see you do it. Send it to to someone. That will discourage shenanigans on his part. West Coast, one of our more prolific posters, merely bluffs taking pictures which is probably just as effective. Oh, BTW as a selling point in your negotiations you can tell the cabbie that on his way back from Angeles he can stop by the Dau bus terminal and try to get a group of passengers who will pay a modest amount to get a taxi ride back to Manila. It's better than riding back in an empty cab.

You can also have your cabbie take you to victory liner. He will offer you a flat fee so that he can turn his meter off and skim off the books. I don't think it's more than 300 pesos but these taxi drivers wear you out with there chiseling tactics.
