I was looking at flights from Bangkok to Manila as well as Bangkok to Cebu. Oddly the flight to Cebu was cheaper even with a layover in Manila. Now if you were to fly to Cebu and spend a few days there you could then fly direct from Cebu to Clarke for less than you would pay for the taxi from Manila to Angeles City.

Good point and always something worth keeping an eye out for. But this time I want to hit the PH ground running with convenient AC shopping. I'll do Cebu later, it's a bit more complex to work (although rewards are fine). It's not as much the actual price really, just don't particularly like playing the five day millionaire and coming across as a soft touch.

Additionally, the hourly pay for doing a little bit negotiation is usually pretty good.

Worst case these taxis don't get a fare back to manila and gas went from 58.4 pre liter to 74.6 per liter in just a few months and its still rising. That is an increase in base costs of about 30% so just on inflation and gas prices alone the normal 3 k would now be 3900 at the lowest and if I do end up paying the full fare I do not tip. If I pay 2500-3000 I usually tip 500 ish. So paying 4700 now would be almost the same if you account for a 30% increase in fuel price which is not insane. This is only a recent change as well. So if you go even further back to pre pandemic prices 2019 lets say 2500 php gas has since gone up by 66%. So if you paid 2500 they are taking an extra 66% cut in their fares base cost. I personally do not think that it is unreasonable to adjust fares to gasoline prices given that they have risen significantly 66% pre pandemic and since DEC-21 they have risen 33% if gasoline was still 46 per liter I would take issue with the 4700 but I rented a van in the province and the gas cost of the trips is insane if you also add the fact they are fronting the costs of these tolls for single passenger transportation its is getting quite costly to travel anywhere. I don't like to get into politics but $150 a barrel oil is not out of the question which would result in a further 50-70% increase in fuel prices. there is a fine line when it comes to taking advantage of people and getting a fair price, I am not personally hurting monetarily at the moment so i pay whatever i feel is equitable.

Go to the Angeles Foundation Hospital in Angeles City. It is a teaching hospital with a medical school. It's not far down MacArthur over the bridge then you bear left. Short trike ride. Ask at information you need to see a urologist. They will steer you to one who will order a PSA blood test (prostate specific antigen). Depending on age and PSA level the MD will determine the possibility of cancer. Elevated PSA can occur with a lot of sexual activity and not just cancer. Personally I would be heading over to the Emergency centre at The Medical City Clark. When I presented at emergency with my condition they summonsed the relevant specialist.

The other time I had tried wandering the upstairs halls of specialists. That was frustrating.

I think your symptoms will get some attention for sure. As others have said, get some help today.
