A friend of mine is packing up in the province and heading back to AC.

Lots of girls are going or have gone back. Very few are turning any tricks but a couple are collecting minimum wage as "waitresses". Due to the higher cost of living, all are keen to meet anyone who is or appears to be in town. Some are okish in looks but I haven't noticed any stunners. Those have enough cash and / or sponsors to remain where they are. Many of the girls still in the provinces are waaaay hotter than those back in AC.

It is called hope. The same way the massage shops in Pattaya called everyone back because by law they could open. Nevermind there were no tourists that would be customers. The best days are far behind us now.

The downfall started First with the enforced "human traffic laws" that prevented mamas from recruiting new girls from the provinces.

Then closing of Raymond St and Santos bars.

Korean takeover and changing the behaviors of bargirls.

Bars overcharging.

Bar owners and managers no longer gave a shit about punters getting cheated by the girls.

Right when Manila went into ecq, I matched with a pinay real estate agent on tinder. She was using the app to fish for potential condo buyers (LOL, I know). Totally legit as I checked out the office and everything, which was a few minutes walk from where I was staying at the time.

Fast forward a week and I get desperate messages from her asking to borrow 25 k pesos. Naturally, the monger in me told her it would take her a month of 3-4 weekly ST meetings to get this from me, which she would have earned and wouldn't have had to pay back of course.

Real Estate pinay said under no circumstances would she sleep with me, but she can send me a few condo pics I might be interested in buying, and if I lent her the 25 k pesos she'd pay back with her next salary and that she really needed the money.

I didn't even bother responding. The absurdity of the whole situation was nothing short of astonishing.

Hahaha. Sounds like the same one on PL who tried to sell me a condo. She just wasn't interested in a root. They just think some stupid foreigner is going to buy into some crap condo in Caloocan, or in your case, just let them 'barrow' 25,000 peso. Hahaha.
