I find pretty much everything in AC overpriced once the quality of the goods received is factored in. The bar hopping party scene died years ago.

AC's only attraction to me is the concentration of services and the over the top nature of the place.

The best value for money that I have had was to be found out of town or in the provinces. But yes, it's not as point and shoot as walking into a bar full of single moms. 😁.

AC Is not overpriced compared to many other entertainment places we go to in many countries. To name a few Costa Rica, DR prices have gone up considerably for good lookers not to mention lack of good service. Many AC Girls give good service.

I have had many many province girls and they are good and they can be less expensive depending on you. I generally compensate them well. Also as you mentioned it takes work to get them. But for a guy who wants point and shoot fun AC Fits the bill. For a weekend punters who live couple of hours plane rides away AC Is perfect. They pay lot higher prices for girls where they live. E. g Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and now even China.

I predict most of the buildings on walking street except maybe 2 of the hotels will be razed to build Casino for the Chinese to operate POGOS and KTV bars for the Koreans like they turned DMZ into. POGOS is where the real revenue is made NOT dumpy run down bars. Lets see if I am right. Just a wild out of left field prediction thou.

Now you have let the cat out of the bag! Korean and Chinese speculators are clamoring up and down Fields secretly buying up the properties. Not to mention making big under the table payments to city hall.

There is no real reason to raze fields Avenue buildings to build Casinos and KTV. Those can be built anywhere as they have done already. Their clients go there and fields Avenue caters to only select mongers who are looking for small bars, cheap drinks, reasonably cheap hotels, cheap girls, party atmosphere, cheap food, cheap massage and everything cheap. High end gamblers and KTV clients have their own supply of babydoll look girls Who command high prices.

Long time ago Bangkok also tried to close patpong, nana plaza trying to move it outside Bangkok city. Prostitution creates its own economy which supports a host of businesses. Even alternate venues are chosen to replicate fields Avenue it will fail.

Like you say, it is just a prediction out of left field. But let's say the future works out this way; then all the bars and honky tonks will move to Barrio Barretto which is a nice location if you ask me. I appreciate a sea breeze.

That's only speculation, nobody has any idea what the future is so saying they will never open again is only your opinion. They might never open again and they might open next week. Barretto bars are open, very limited hours but they are open. No need to start rumors that they will never open until it comes from an official source.
