My guess, based mor o inference than fact is the when the country does re-open to international visitors, it will restrict the number of countries from which visitors are allowed, and US citizens will not among the first allowed entry given the inadequate response to the pandemic. Your English is somewhat difficult to follow, but in case facts matter at all, Japan is by far the largest bilateral donor to the Philippines, providing almost twice the amount given / lent by China. And yes, these grants and loans have enormous job-creating impacts on the country far in excess of the trivial amount spent by Chinese and Korean tourists in girlie bars. You should really listen to folks like RK who know whereof they speak.

You should check out the actual money that is exchanged at Governmental level before you make such silly statements. The money brought in by tourists in AC or POGO Chinese is chicken-feed compared to the bi-lateral loans and grants that other countries bestow on the Philippines. Have a look at OECD or ADB or WB charts.

There are still flts out. There are none coming in. I believe its 2021 till they will lift the incoming flights again unless they get a lot of money waved at them from the Koreans and Chinese to let them come back sooner which I beleiev will be the case.

First incoming flights are presently scheduled for AFTER May 15 (mine is for May 17) and I am allowed to enter PH because I have a permanent (spouse) visa aka a Section 13 A. I have been stuck outside Philippines because all flights from where I am stationed were for OFWs only and the flights were filled.

If you had a previously issued visa you cannot enter the country unless you are a 13 A. (I think diplomat are also allowed in but don't expect that many countries will be flying their diplomats around.

SRRV cannot reenter the country.

The sweeper flights are very expensive. The Government of Canada sent me an email saying USD 2200 to Vancouver or 2900 USD to Toronto, one way.

Mandatory 14 day quarantine on arrival as well. Usually Manila to Vancouver on to Winnipeg is less than 1200 to 1500 RETURN.

There are 3.5 million cases of confirmed cases of covid 19 and as most nations have only tested a fraction of their population expect these numbers to be multiple times higher in reality and still climbing by thousands of cases per day.

Look at living conditions for most poor pinoys, 10 people sleeping in one tiny room, from grandparents to new born babies, no access to clean running water, no sanitation, can you honestly see phills numbers lowering any time soon, I can see only massive gains due to this virus is extremely easy to catch when in close confinement and no running water.
