Mine "assumption" about Koreans is based off many many trips to AC and having good conversations with girls there. I don't see anywhere where Mr E said he was worried about a 1-2 dollar trike ride, neither did he ever say he couldn't afford one, the big difference is attitude IE why pay 100 peso when one can easily pay 80, likewise this same attitude allows him to pay 1000 peso for exactly the same girls other mugs are pay 1500 or even 2 k for.

This attitude is what sets him and guys like him to retire and live indefinitely in Asia when they are in their 30's and for guys like you to either just talk about it or have enough money to "last 10 yrs".

You should always act and think in the local currency, not in your own, Whenever someone mentions US $ to me, I walk and don't care what the price is. You are paying hookers and the trike drivers who pimp them. You are not doing a multi billion $ long term deal with considerable currency risk. I am not arguing 80 PHP v 2 bucks as you put it, but the mind set. If they say $1 ti me, I walk, which I would most likely do anyway.

Christmas and New Year time most of the girls will go home or they will be in a festive mood. Easter also will be that way. This is the information from the bar girls and FLs in AC to whom I am in touch with. Go back and read 50 pages in AC forum retrospectively you will get all information.

Not sure if PH and SEA is similar setup, but in Mexico border towns the WGs head home to their families in the interior for 2+ weeks around Christmas time so P4 P zonas Tijuana, Nogales, Reynosa etc become ghost towns.

Maybe it picks up after mid January?

Mr E, you gave us a detailed breakdown on how you spent your money over two days in AC. So you jet in, stay at some Airbnb and then pick up at HiSo for 1500 pesos on two nights. In between, you get a massage, haircut etc. But why leave Patts for that? You seem to get Thai chicks for 1000 baht, so what's the point in coming to AC? Regarding the 20 pesos you save on trikes, what's the purpose? One-upmanship?

The trike drivers' union is part of the wider mafia in the area. If an errant trike driver was to accept a lower than 100 peso fare from a tourist and the union organizer found out, he would probably end up dead.

The pensioners who live in AC can't afford to barfine on Walking Street. Their weekly entertainment budget is 140 pesos which gets them two coldies at one of the perimeter bars where they can talk WW2 stories with their mates.
