Scoot airlines offer flights DMK to Clark for less than 100 bucks if booked early. That's better than that long ride from Manila to Angeles.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know this airline. However after some investigation it seems to me that the connection from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is much better than from Don Muang (DMK). When you fly from DMK you will have a transit of at least 12 hours in Singapore, but when you fly from BKK the transit is only 2 or 3 hours.

This is what I have found. Unfortunately the flight schedule search on their website doesn't work, so please correct me if I'm wrong:

BKK 08:40 - CRK 17:35, with 2 hours transit in Singapore. About 8 hours travel time in total.

After October 28th the schedule changes:
BKK 09:00 - CRK 19:10, with 3 hours transit in Singapore. About 9 hours travel time in total.

Unfortunately the transit times in Singapore on the way back from Clark to Bangkok (both airports) are way too long to my liking.

And I could not find a fare for only 100 USD (one way). Not including check-in baggage and a meal and drink anyway. The best I could find was 6659 THB, even when I looked as far ahead as April next year. So that's about 200 USD.

Just a simple example: a mug of coffee at Margarita Station is 39 peso and at Kokomos it's 45 peso. A mug of coffee (of about the same size) at Phillies is what, 65 peso? Last time I was in Phillies is years ago so maybe the price is even higher now. However I have never seen anybody complain about this 'rip-off price' at Phillies LOL.

Is anyone complaining at the friendly prices at Starbucks? If no, then why complain about Phillies charging more than Kokomos or Margarita?

I'm a grown man so I can't fit inside a trike, but I've seen what foreigners pay. Korean guys I know who live in AC actually pay more than I mentioned! 100 would still be comparatively expensive though. For perspective you can take a Grab tuk tuk from Kandal Market to Russian Market in Phnom Penh for $1. 50 and that's maybe 4 times the distance.

Trikes charge a 100 peso. And I know that is too much.

I think it's strange that quite a lot of people are complaining about the trike prices here. I did that too to be honest, until I realized that we are screwed by the bars, the hotels and the restaurants as well. It's a tourist area so what do you expect? I don't blame the trike guys that they want to get as much as possible, when everybody else in AC is doing that too.

For me, after reading plenty of the Thailand forums, the downside there is the lack of bareback offered. For me I think this is a deal breaker. In AC I batted about 93% bare and it was fantastic.

If you use the internet to find girls (WeChat, Thai Friendly, Badoo, etc.) you can discreetly ask them in advance if they are willing to bareback.
Nevertheless I agree that it's much easier to get BBFS in the Phils than in Thailand.

I know there has been many different views comparing bkk to Philippines and the value for money, food, things to do, service etc. I had been to AC and makati several times but I keep coming back.

For example on my first trip to AC I met this sales girl at sm mall who was in the cosmetic section when I was shopping for another girl I met there. She shared me her number and we met the following day and got along really well. In fact, just as most of the girls poured her family issues to me and said she desperately wanted to get out of Philippines and make some money. I got her a job in the Middle East working as a sales girl. As she was a gym and fitness freak (great body to boot) she went on working on her body and I sponsored a few courses for her on fitness and nutrition. I got her a job as fitness trainer and she is now set. I had her spread her legs when ever I wanted and the service levels and gratitude for helping her was phenomenal. When she was in Philippines I even bought school books for her high school younger sister. She now has a Filipino boy friend who is ok with how I met her and has no problems with me still fucking her. Well now her younger sister turns 18 at the end of next month and she is willing for me to meet her and take her cherry. Her younger sister is a part time model in AC.

I will be there in AC on 29th October for a few days and will spend some time with her sister.

Now I have never got this kind of gratitude in bkk or any other place.

I hear ya, but my situation is unique. There's no money involved or thought of it. This is plain old fashioned lady jealousy mixed with crazy. I. e. 'You had sex with my friends and you don't want me even though you said you did (I didn't) so I am going to ruin you and if you come back here I will ruin your vacation'.

I have added a few AC girls as facebook friends that were superstars in the looks and personality department. Like maybe I'd want a repeat. It's fun to see their little lives. I'm glad this was brought up, because I'm struggling with the same decision right now and need to decide fairly soon. I went to AC twice in the last year and had a great time. I like the fact that the girls speak English. It's cheap, it's chill, and I found the girls to be very nice for the most part, and not mercenaries at all. Throwing in my 2 cents on getting to AC. Manila airport to Makati via GrabTaxi. Spend a night there and check out Burgos (damn there are some hotties there). Then Beeway travel the next day to AC. I've used them 4 times and it's always been a nice van with me alone with a good driver. They're super prompt. Yeah it's $50. It's worth it.

Probably paid too much in Pattaya. 1000 was for LT even in 2012/2013. Even now you get the odd report on the Pattaya thread from mongers claiming to pay only 500 for a BR hooker, ST.

At the end of the day it is all in our minds. What we consider as fair pay, what we consider as a hot girl, what we consider as good service. Of course, there are certain other things like infrastructure which cannot be debated. And in that department the Philippines always sucks.

There's no flight from Bangkok. So you have to fly to, in your words, "possibly the worst airport on this planet. " Then you get to negotiate with some of the worst taxi drivers anywhere, and once you agree on a price higher than what any local would pay, you get to drive through two hours of some of the worst traffic you can find anywhere. After that you arrive at a city without any of the amenities you can find in Bangkok where women are asking the same amount of money. So why would you make the extra effort (with two stops) when you're already in Bangkok? Honest question.

OK, so there are no flights from BKK. Great, you win. What about the other airports?

Hate to break it to you, but the women aren't asking money for the amenities you get in the city. They are asking money for a roll in the hay with men old enough to be their grandpas. And its not an awful lot.

Mostly right except that Louis Grand is now a dump too. Have you seen the carpets in the rooms? Tried to use the wifi? Looked at that absolutely disgusting white couch in the lobby? It's still twice as much as you'd pay for a nicer newer hotel in Bangkok or Pattaya though.

Seoul red light district is 3000 Pesos for a fuck. Fuji Building or any walk up in Hong Kong is about 3000 Pesos. Pattaya Soi 6 is 1600 pesos. The original point stands then: because AC has nothing really positive about it except for the women, the prices would have to be much cheaper for the place to be a real draw, especially for those of us who live or are regularly in say Hong Kong or Bangkok.

I have been around in Seoul. CheonHo, Miarai Texas, Hooker Hill, Area 588. You get 20-30 minutes for that 3000 peso. Oh, I forgot, you are the guy who likes to get laid and get going right away. Doesn't work for me. Not mongered much in HKG, so I don't know. And Pattaya is a city created for single male entertainment 24/7. No comparison. But in Pattaya too, if you want quality, there is a price to it.

For me, if I don't like a place for any reason, I simply don't go back there. Because complaining ain't going to change things up there.

Unfortunately, this is an issue Asia wide not just AC.

Low Cost Carrier fares have drastically increased the number of and demand from weekend millionaires.

Growth in low and middle class jobs mean that many girls can earn as much vertically as they can horizontally.

On top of this, apps allow a way to get top up funds with out the dramas nor social risks of working in a bar or gogo.

The oldest profession will continue but I do agree that times are changing.
