Hello guys,

It's my first time in Angeles city and my first time in Philippines, and I will not lie, it was my worst trip in asia if I compare with my previous destination.

For your context, I live in Hong Kong for 6 years now and I travel quite a lot abroad, like each 1 or 2 month, mostly Thailand and Japan. This year, I'am trying to find new places.

Last month I was in Cambodia and last week I was in Angeles city, I was in a bnb in a condo called One Euphoria, near walking street.

I did all the bars of the walking street, it was "OK" in term of ambiance but I didn't find it that nice, Angeles city itself is quite lame, there is nothing to do, it's over poluted peolpe are nice but really, you don't want to stay outside or walk in the streets.

My biggest disapointment was really about the girls, they are 95% overweight, old and ugly. I don't want to be rude but really girls eat way too much jollybee. And the small part that are not fat are already mothers, and they globally are lazy.

I am a 34 yo Caucasian and I was looking for nice girls but it was a pain to find the good ones.

I read this thread since long time in order to prepare my trip and again, I don't want to be rude, but guys, it seems that many here have low criteria for girls.

For exemple, many talked about the lollipop, I went there everyday afternoon and night, and there was absolutely nothing special, few girls for a lot of american elders.

Through all the walking street, the more beautifull girls for me was in bar nana, they say they are VIP bar with only beautifull girls, and it was true, but it comes with a price 6000 peso to 9000 peso depending of girls, and even with that price the service was not good, girls were lazy as soon a you enter the room, so I took two girls in Bar nana (6000 p), one in Baccara (5000 p) and one arabesque (4000 p)?

I also went to the Hammer to find some girls or to drink and dance with some bar girls I barfine it's a nice place.

Bar XS is nice for the shows, and I was often going to play pool in the afternoon.

Perhaps I did wrong or didn't go to the good places, but I don't think I will come back to Angeles city again, the beautifull phillipina are already in HK.

I see that people compare AC with Pattaya, and I will totally disagree, soi6 is full of nice girls starting 1 pm, there is nice food, the sea is near and globally you can walk in the street and enjoy.

Hope that my review can help people that idealize AC too much, if you go there for a first time don't expect much.

As a 34 year Caucasian living in Hong Kong you should have no need to monger. Unless you are butt ugly, fat and have no game whatsoever, you should have your pick of Civilian girls where you live. AC is what it is. Its past its hey day, its always been a shithole except for the bars, and the only attraction was BBFS with young Filipinas. You should have known that going in. Perfectly okay to say its not your preference but you don't have any excuse for expecting much different than you found.

Thanks for taking to time to post your review. I think as a monger on the younger side of life, your standards are probably a bit higher than many on this board. I mean no offense to others but some of the photos I see on here of girls are to put it lightly less than appealing. LOL. To each his merry own, I'm glad everyone has their thing.

One other thing, is that after mongering many years, I think one's taste gets more refined.

They don' have too much Jolybee as that is above their budget. Poverty gets them eating crap food. As regards better Pinay hookers elsewhere, that is because there is much more money elsewhere.

You mentioned American elders and, yes, some of them are very old, 80 and above in some cases.

But regard it as casinos. Angeles is spit and sawdust. Other places are las Vegas. Different gigs for different mugs.

The cure for high prices is high prices!

AC is dying with it's main revenue source drying up.

Lifting prices during lean times is pretty standard practice in most of Asia. Makes no sense but I can remember houses remaining vacant for years during the various crises rather than dropping rents to get a tenant. Though I must say that may have changed recently. Both pussy and housing prices dropped for those that remained in the market during the pandemic.

Not sure I'd agree that hookers are a majority of AC's cash and graft economy. If anything I'd say it's shrinking so both customers and suppliers are investigating options. I know guys who are bypassing AC in favour of Pattaya or remaining in country but abandoning 5 k barfines for 1 k provincial pussy.

Take away the girls and AC is just another very unattractive provincial town. There was hope that Clark would be Manila's airport, that's now over with the new airport at Bulacan. AC is dying with it's main revenue source drying up.

Will Clark stay open to passenger traffic is the question on my mind. If they build a rail line from Bulacan airport to Angeles with cheaper airfare will people still fly into Clark? But I don't think the girls will go away anytime soon. The revenue isn't the airport, its the guys coming here to spend their money. The guys will just switch airports. Clark might eventually be shut to commercial traffic, I could see the military taking it over once again. Now if the rail line made stops on the way north and dropped people off near say SM Clark Mall that would really hurt the taxi mafi's income from airport traffic.

Now on a bar note I was talking with a buddy here about how tired I am of calling a girl over, buying a ladydrink only to be told 'menstration' or one of those excuses. What your getting at some of these bars is girls not going with customers (or only the ones they like) and living off the lady drinks. Hotter the girl the more money she can make. So we talked about 'asking the girl upfront if she was up to barfining before a waitress came over. Do you look bad not automatically buying a drink is the issue. So I go out drinking and meet another buddy of mine and I'm shocked he says the same thing, says he's been buying so many ladydrinks and getting shot down that its really adding up. I told him go for it, ask the girl before the waitress can bring a drink. Have to say it was an amazing sight, bar after bar he'd call a girl off stage and she'd come over and he'd say 'so you want to barfine and go have fun tonight?' and any girl that said stuff like 'I'm tired now' got sent back to the stage with him shooing away the waitress.

On a traffic jam note. They now have a guy directing traffic right near walking street. Before he arrives traffic flows nicely, the Filipinos drive their normal crazy way and it works. Then he shows up and starts trying to stop and start traffic and everything comes to a standstill. Funny thing the other day his boss must have shown up to observe and tried to take over directing traffic. And the same traffic jam happened. People coming off the side street now had stopped cars keeping them from getting out of the way and they then blocked traffic coming the other direction. Funny and sad to watch. Had they stopped directing traffic I'm sure the flow would have returned.

I'd suggest that the internet, spread of the middle class and sponsorship daddies pose a much greater threat to mongers than new urban planning. There was a time when NGOs were the only threat but now it seems to be coming from all sides. Not to mention the girls' falling preference for white meat. 😜.

The one thing the place had going for it (after military money left) was that it attracted high paying tourists (and business minded people) with girlie bars and cheap pussy galore, once they started to try to clamp down on that the tourist money quickly dried up and the area has been on its knees since. Sure, the Koreans came in with a bit of cash but what true changes / improvements are we seeing in infrastructure (other than another new arcade / cafe / restaurant / refurbished bar) compared to the early 2000's-2015 ish where new hotels and condos and even SM mall were springing up left, right and center?

The bigwigs with bright ideas have been trying to reinvent AC for close to a decade now, and all they have to show for it is more dilapidated buildings and that long ass new mall / complex that still leaks through the roof whenever it rains.

My reliable source says the customers and bargirls are getting upset with the new pricing. Customers are not barfining as much and girls are upset of the lack of barfines.

The girls have been told by management that their daily salary will be decreasing by a significant amount.

I used to travel to Thailand a lot and things were great. Then the waves of tourists arrived saying " I pay more because it's cheaper than back home". Consequently prices went up dramatically. I had girls complain to me that they could not get barfined, but they refused to lower prices, so they got nothing. We are seeing this play out in AC. The barfines are way overpriced for the quality. The girls will complain, but they will not reduce prices. So it will end up like BKK, stupid prices for poor service. I don't visit AC because overall it's poor value while consuming awful food in a very unattractive town.
