Field Report IV

As mentioned yesterday, I hooked up with some ex-GF and first went to BIG-C to see "Lord of the rings- return of the king". One of these girls is a real beauty and she brought her younger sister as promised, also very cute. After cinema we went to soi 8 where I finally sent my chinese looking girl back to work. Afterwards Tony's, Marine Plaza, Marine II and finally Marine Plaza Lek which stays open till 4am. Do you mean to say that this prostitute was so new that she didn't know to ask for money for services rendered? You know, the reason they go to all the trouble to move down to Pattaya from Issan is to get some relatively easy money. Its not like they come down there because they find the falang irrisitable. Charging you for it occurred to her ages ago in Isaan when she was making her plans. But it was nice of you to inform her - no doubt her friends, sister, aunts, etc, who've been plying the trade for years had neglected to fill her in. And by the way, did you pay 1000 baht for short time? That's twice the going rate, I believe.

Field Report Part III

1000 baut bar fine is just pure greed. I would never pay that when there are too many cheaper options. I know most men think with their dicks and would pay this if they really liked the girl. Especially men from Japan. If many men would pay this then this becomes a standard fee at all the gogo clubs. Thailand is just testing the waters to see how much they can get. SR - Yet another reason to stick to beer bar girls. 1000 baht fine is silly. I don't think they realize the damage they do to themselves when they pull this crap. Unless there is so much extra demand, they're going to cut their revenue in half.

And even if they broke even (1/2 as many bar fines, twice the normal amount per barfine), the girls are going to be pissed, 'cause they're only working half as much.

Well, it has happen again, it seems every year the greed of the Walking Street Go Go Bar owners comes out. But it is a little early this year, went into Living Dolls last night and the bar fine is now 1000 baht until midnight and 600 baht from midnight until the 2:00am close. These higher fees will stay in effect until just after the first of the year.

Dollhouse is going to the higher bar fines on Monday and the others will soon follow. This is nothing but the greed of the owners trying to keep the girls in the clubs all night so we will stay and buy drinks.

I vote with my feet and stay away from the clubs who raise their fees and go to those who keep things resonable.

Regarding discrimination, I suspect the Thais do that mostly because they assume different races dislike each other and might either not go into a bar containing other races, or get into a fight if they did. True, Thais dislike South Asians and Middle Easterns more than they dislike whites, but I wouldn't take it too hard. They don't really like any of us much. I'm just awfully grateful they keep Thai men out of the venues - or perhaps the Thai men just choose not to attend. Nothing more uncomfortable than having the local men around when you're trying to 'exploit' the local women.

I will be visiting Pattaya for 3 nights next month, I did visit last year but I spent my time with a TG from Jomtien so I didn't really check out Pattaya to it's full extent.
We did go to tiffany show and a couple of beer bars before we had a nice sea food meal on Walking street. This time I am staying in Central Pattaya and intend to check out the town better.

Are there any 'Must visit' places or should I just 'Go with the Flow'.

Regarding my post about the two guys who run the SE Asia sites. You are totally right about virus's and spyware that comes with viewing their sites. I had to clear my entire computer and re-install all my programs several months ago, very costly, after checking them out. I didn't have an anti-virus program at the time, but installed Norton and I don't think I've had a problem since.

I just wanted to comment that pornographers don't take the risk of aids. This is well organized and there are people besides those 2 who are making money from those sites. It's not amature. I did want to stick up for them a little because I have had many hours of enjoyment viewing their free pics and clips.

While I'm talking about race, I had a very funny instance on my first trip there. I forget the name of the bar, but when a black man entered the lady I was talking to said "Oh, a chocolate man, (in a lower voice) they don't taste like chocolate." She didn't sound like she liked or disliked black people at all, but the comment had me in stitches.

There are so many woman here all you have to do is walk ten feet in any direction and you can find nice women. When you are in Thailand you are in another world and it is there rules and not yours.
