Not monsoon weather in May/June (lots more rain in Pattaya in September/October according to weather charts) but still more rain than the months leading up to that. June gets about the same amount of rain as November, but less sunshine, May about the same sun but lots more rain. Ok so this will sound like a dumb question (not directly girl related) but... I'm planning on a 3weeker end of may, 2 weeks in June. What kind of weather can I expect? Yes, I know it's "rainy season" but there's "rainy" and there's "monsoon". Rain I can tolerate (I see enough of it 6 months of the year) monsoon is OK too, actually, just a natural warm shower.

Aside from that... I think this trip i'll go "out and about" because if I go to Pattaya FIRST it will be LAST (gawd, I love that place)

Never paid a joiner fee at the Eastiny hotel. I have a friend who lived at the Eastiny Inn for almost two years and he never paid a joiner fee. I do not believe a hotel could be in business on Soi 8 and charge a joiner fee, remember this area is party centeral for Pattaya. In the past Soi 7 & 8 was the center of the beer bars in Pattaya, but now with four Go Go bars the area it has become a complete party area.

I've been staying at the Beverly Center Hotel. One block from Walking Street. I haven't seen a bug in the four days I've been here. Place is very clean. When maids aren't cleaning rooms you see them on their hands and knees scrubbing floors. Actually the only bugs I've seen in Pattaya since I've been here was a street vendor selling fried crickets, beetles, worms, etc.

So far, the best looking girls at Happy-a-go-go but very unfriendly. Living Dolls has good looking and friendly girls. It seems true here that the prettier the girl the less friendly. Anyone else here right now found a go-go with friendly and pretty girls, please let me know. If I find one I will.

Electric Blue is one of the newer Go Go Clubs on Walking Street in Pattaya. This club is cutting edge and always trying new things. It is the only Go Go Club on Walking Street that is multi level. The club not only features a main stage at ground level but two more on the second level with see through floors. Also on the second level is a revolving stage. So you really get to see a lot of girls here. The latest changes here have been with the servers. First the girls working the second level went to hooters t-shirts cut off so they would show their nipples while serving. They also started to wear no panties under the skirts and were happy to show you for a small tip. Well this week that went one better, I was in the club on Tuesday night and the hooters tops were gone, now the servers are just plain topless. I don’t know of another club in the city were the servers are topless, it was a great sight. Andy really is trying to make this place different from all the rest.

As priviously noted in the BKK forum JohnnieBravo does not deal well with roaches. Any of you guys found a pattaya place to stay that was free of roaches and reasonably close to the action?

Previous comment about the Penthouse Hotel:

Just came back from staying at the Penthouse and I had the same problem. I saw the German cockroaches in the bedroom and the smaller bugs in the bathroom all the time. The bathroom is small and never dries from the shower.

When I asked the manager if they could spray for the cockroaches because I had paid in advance for the 4 day rate of 670 baht per night, he said, "It wouldn't do any good, they just keep coming back."

Next time I will not keep coming back to the Penthouse, I saw a better hotel off walking street for the same price, and it had an ocean view. I think it was called the Grand Hotel, if I am correct.
