Thx Domino for the interesting statistics. I didn't know Jimmy's site was so close in competition and it sheds a little light on Jackson's frustration. I appreciate the quote from Jackson, though it was unnecessary since the original post is a few screens down.

I was referring to the cause of the falling out between Jackson and Jimmy. Him being stripped of mod powers and then banned is an effect of something that happened. Jackson is one of the most even-handed, fair and hard working admins I've ever seen. But the fact is, there is always two sides to every story and rarely is one side completely angelic. There's a reason why Jimmy decided to start his own site after helping Jackson run this one for a long time. Of course, it's probably personal and really none of our business. I doubt we'll ever learn what really went down between Jimmy and Jackson.

These wars are interesting. Jackson, whose reasons for banning ******* are appended below, currently has 182 members and 85 guests online. "The other site" has 117 members and 150 guests on line but only on quality as 182+85=117+150 to most people ( I exclude some Domino bashers). This puts Jackson ahead by more than a nose. However, Jackson probably feels that if significant sections of his board lose out to the Jimmy Dr's of this world, then he will only left with the dross. I don't think the above figures take into account Jackson's USA and Argentina sites.

Believe me, I didn't want to do it, but after repeated requests to stop, he continued to use my forum to promote his forum. In the past year I've probably received 30+ forwarded copies of Jimmy's PMs from other members, all of which included links to his forum. Apparently he was simply responding to every question with his link. It also appears that he was sending PM's with his link to any Forum member that became active in the DR section of the WSG. Eventually, I sent him some PM's from my test accounts, and he responded to every one with nothing more than his link.

I didn't spend 5 years, thousands of hours, and thousands of my own dollars building my forum so Jimmy (or anybody else) could come along and steal my traffic to build their own forum, and that's EXACTLY what he did in the beginning, and what he continued to do.

Wow, ******* is banned. A long time ago, he use to help Jackson moderate this board and I was surprised when his mod status was stripped away. And now he is banned. I always thought they was buds. I think there is a lot more to this story and it's something not very pretty or puts either party (Jackson and *******) in favorable light.

I do understand not wantiung others using your boards to get traffic for their site or make money. It's your work, so you should decide how others can profit from it. But I must admit, I'm kind of curious about Jimmy's site. He always had sweet pics of hot girls. Someone let me know, hehheh.

There seems to be some element of paranoia regarding other web sites, and "stealing traffic". I think if you have a good product, you don't need to fear the competition.

Well like it was touched upon a few posts ago. This is your board, and your rules. No question this is the best forum for our hobby. I think very few people on this board realize the time and effort it takes to maintain it as I can imagine. So kudos to you for all your hard work you have put into it, and still are.

Although I was shocked at his banishment, considering the contributions Jimmy made. But I respect you more than ever for doing what you had to do.

Jackson is a man of principles and the "rules are the rules" you have to respect that.

Most of these porn/adult sites are run like its "amateur hour" the administration is a joke. I have to admit this site is run more like a Fortune 500 company! You really can't complain.
