Excellent observations! The best way to handle stupid (relative phrase) questions is to not answer them. Answering these type of questions as they invariable all seem to get callously and un-couthly answered here highlights the questions even more.
I have this theory that some of these questions, especially from the posters with one or two posts are from seasoned/past/banned/current members, who may just being yanking the chains of the “proverbial guard-dogs,” then sitting back and enjoying the commotion they caused.
There are some threads where poster's questions are ignored and the posters gets the message and move on. Excoriating people on this board with RTFF has been done for years but it doesn't seem to be an effective deterrent. Protectors of the board, if you are interesting in eliminating the “dumb question syndrome” try the ignoring approach because what you’re doing obviously isn’t working.

Posts: 1584Gee, folks, maybe we should ask khon Jackson to put a lead message on the Thailand board that says "If you are "new" - go READ the FAQ section first and learn how to look up (search for) previous responses"
PERSONALLY, I don't get so upset with newbie questions except when they IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW the same question by a DIFFERENT newbie or are so ABSURDLY SIMPLE that the answer is either obvious or the asker is totally OBLIVIOUS. (Then - well...DUH!)
I know that even I have occassionally (not too often, for sure) asked the innocently stupid question somewhere on the forum (I remember asking what "RCA" meant, for instance) - not because I didn't WANT to look for it, but because I didn't REMEMBER ever seeing the answer (and I DO read most of this).
Either that or we seem to need a pissing contest every now and then...

He is probably now either in jail or Pattaya.

You won't follow Dean to the newbie graveyard, I'm sure. Firedick's going to see to that!
And of course you will rtff and consequently not bother anyone with dumbass questions.
PS Congrats on your Senior status.

Actually Tony isn't officially a nonce, just a dick.

What's a "nonce"? The print in my OED is too small to read.

What did you do on your last trip, stay indoors for a week? How can you know so little about LOS if you've actually been here before?
Do you even have a passport? Do you know what a passport is?

I would rather be manhandled by a gaggle of LBs than to meet you. 300 questions in 20 minutes is not my idea of fun, coupled with the fact if I agreed to meet you, you would ask 50 questions in the forum about where this or that bar is, where you are to meet 1ball.
ask CB, (do you know who that is ? )
he is a local, and takes pity on lost causes.....
When you say "all the beer is on me", good thing you didn't invite FD. (do you know who that is ?
sorry FD.

There is a hand's free dining establishment on Rama IV Road. This is where your hand's are free to to "feel away" as the ladies feed you. Similar to the "Bia om" in Vietnam but with food instead of beer.
Not sure if you eat off of a naked lady, although I have heard of "Japanese only" places like this.
The one I am thinking of lies between Robinson's on Silom and Wat Hua Lampong near the Payathai intersection.
