I've not posted anything for a while, I've been out of the scene for some time so I really haven't much to add. However I did post a guide for newbies some time back which I would humbly submit for perusal if only I understood how to do so. I've followed the instructions as best I can but frankly can't make head or tail of it.

If anyone does know how to post can they have a look at my post no.1492, October 6 2004, and if they think it's worthy of inclusion on this thread could they stick it up here. Looking back on it now there are a few things I would change in it but I think it's not a bad starting point for guys who are new to Jakarta.

That's a useful list Sajer Guy (though I say it myself) as I'm often looking back for reports myself. Actually there are more, but if anyone follows that advice and still doesn't score they might as well give up! No offence to anyone whose tried and failed!

One additional point about mall hunting I don't think I've mentioned - I wouldn't rule out talking to a girl (of you get signals) who is with her mother. You get bolder signals of course as they fell safe. There are risks of course and potential complications - but as always, there is NO CHANCE of a rebuttal, provided you are very polite, obviously

If you have written one or several detailed travel reports, or if you know of such reports, then please post the link here.

You may also include a short summary of the nature of the report.

You can copy and paste the link into a report, or you can do it the easy way and use the [post] tags, which you would format like this:

[post]Post ID number here[/post]

You can identify the Post ID by moving your mouse pointer over the "Quote" button and reading the Post ID number in the Status Bar at the bottom of your browser window. It's the last number at the end of the link text, just after the letters "p=".

Please note: In order for this thread to be effective, it cannot turn into a discussion forum. I don't want to have to be so tough about this, but any reports that do not include a link to another report will be deleted.
